Jinglers Restaurant in Banbridge

This was our first time trying the evening menu at Jinglers and it did not disappoint. My husband and I both opted for the fillet steak cooked on a stone. The steaks were a really decent size and tasted great. They came with chips, three accompaniments (garlic dip, a gravy style sauce and onions) plus salad. Very reasonably priced at around £28. After our mains we shared a homemade tiramisu which was delicious. Staff told us that the chef/co-owner has worked at a number of top restaurants both in the UK and Switzerland and it shows in his cooking. The front of house staff were very welcoming and attentive without being over powering. Great mid-week meal, we will definitely be back and would highly recommend a visit. P.S the first time I visited was for lunch and the Caesar salad was really gorgeous and competitively priced! Again, the chef makes his dressing from scratch.

OMG! Hot stone fillet steak ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Comes out medium rare and you cut up and cook to your liking on hot stone. It just melted in the mouth. Easily the best fillet steak I've had ever. The 3 sauces, pepper, garlic butter and caramelised onion along with tasty chips and a little side salad set the fish off to perfection. Their chicken curry aldo very tasty as well. Service top notch. Will definitely be back and I can highly recommend Jinglers 👍😋☺️

Promptu visit to Banbridge. Googled somewhere to eat and thankfully came across this wonderful place. So relaxing. Food was amazing and such good value for money and staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We will back and I've spread the word!

We travelled from Newtownabbey last night to try out this restaurant and it was so worth the drive down. From the minute we walked in until we left the service was amazing, I've never experienced such attentive staff in a restaurant. The food was also amazing, we read reviews on how the steaks were the best people had ever had and I can now say the same. The trio of sauces and even the side salads with the starter and mains were perfect and so fresh. We will definitely be back again soon

My wife and I had a.meal tonight which greaves me to say that it just filled a hole. We had chicken goujons and chips. It was so bland. The chips and goujons looked, and tasted, as if they had just been defrosted. It must have been clear from our face and the amount of food left on the plate that we were not overly impressed. The lady taking the money didn't ask if we enjoyed our meal, says a lot. So disappointed!

Really impressive! Staff were fantastic and great crack. Food superb and really reasonable price for Sunday dinner. We were blown away after going to banbridge for so long to find this place. Can’t wait until we get back, hopefully before Christmas

We come here regularly and is by far our favourite restaurant. The food is second to none and the service above and beyond. We couldn’t recommend a better place for good quality food and customer service.

Came in last night as a table of 8. I'm over visiting friends in Ireland for the weekend. What a lovely restaurant the food was exceptional and the service from Gavin i think his name was. It was best I have experienced for a long time. Definitely recommend and will definitely return when I'm visiting again in the future.

The best steak I have had in my life. We had the soft Tacos with brisket and a fillet steak on the stone and they were both second to none. The staff were brilliant in helping with our selection and on hand tutelage was available on how to eat you steak on a stone. I will be back

Noted that this restaurant had many 5 star ratings on here so decided to try when in Banbridge area. First good point is that my wife booked a table via the booking app and received a response stating her booking was being reviewed. Restaurant staff then called her and said that they were fully booked for her requested time, but could she move to 30 minutes later? We actually turned up 10 minutes before our time and there was just the single empty table for us. A full restaurant is always a good sign! We both chose the 'steak on a stone' option and the food was fabulous. Easily the best steak that I had eaten over the last few months. Also had sticky toffee pudding, and that is recommended if you are able to manage after your main meal. All the staff were amazing and very polite/friendly. Would definitely visit again, and again....

Cant say enough good words about the meal we had in Jinglers. From the moment we walked in the staff were so welcoming and helpful. We had never eaten here before and waitress kindly explained how the steak came out and that I could swap out chips for something else if I wanted to! We had the squid as a starter which was delicious. I had the steak which was the best fillet steak I have ever eaten in a restaurant, very tender, no fat at all. My partner had the risotto which was lovely and creamy and perfectly cooked. Portions were big enough that we couldnt even finish the meal and no room for dessert. Will definately be back again

Here you will find the best steaks from the entire Irish Island. Extremely hardworking and arranged staff, from the chef to the waitress. I would recommend a reservation unless you are from Austria. ;)

On a fully booked Saturday evening, the Jinglers still had one seat free for four Austrians without a reservation. The service was top-notch and unparalleled in friendliness. The food (steak) was excellent. We can warmly recommend this restaurant!

Really really tasty food, with good portion sizes too. Good selection on the menu, if you like steaks you’ll love it here. We pretty much just phoned and turned up five mins later and they could accommodate us.

Called in on the off chance. Had not booked just arrived off the ferry. Great service great banter with the head honcho. We all had brilliant tasty starters. BLEW. MY. MIND!! We just happened to stop on our way from Belfast to Dublin. I’m a red meat fan and got the filet. It was the best filet I think I’ve ever had. I’m not exaggerating. They bring your filet out on a hot stone and you can cook it to your liking. The rest of my family ordered other items and everything was fantastic. The manager was so friendly, conversational, and made great recommendations . This is a must stop if you’re in the area. And order the filet!! You will not regret it!

Waitress was lovely but the food seemed like it had all been microwaved. We left basically everything sadly. Reviews seemed very promising but the chips were undercooked. Goujons where so tough I could barley chew them and my husbands Parmesan chicken was in what seemed a packet sauce. Starters where also pretty poor and tasteless.

Very good food. We had the Steaks which were very good but not that fussed on them on the Hot stone arrived medium rare so still cooking when you get them so as a result No resting time so not as juicy as they could be.Also the Steaks lack in flavour for some reason. I think they could do better than this and it is expensive. There is better for less money. Also for 2 Adults and 2 children it was £180.

Update - Owner was kind enough to phone me back and we went through meal I had eaten in detail. I recall the fudge cake I was served had a crumb base below the ice cream, the crumb contained gluten. Another of my party had the cheesecake and the ice cream on that plate did not have the crumb base. It seems there has been an mix up in the kitchen regarding which desert required the ice cream minus the crumb base -.Ceoliac sufferers beware. I, as a ceoliac sufferer, had a very bad experience. I do have an extreme reaction to eating gluten which to me is the equivalent of having food poisoning. My siblings and their partners booked Jinglers for my Birthday lunch treat on Sunday 29 January at 12.30. I have eaten here before without issue. About a year ago I had a long chat with the owner about their great reputation for being a safe place to eat for ceoliac sufferer and therefore recommended that we could book here for my birthday treat this year. I had really enjoyed my previous experiences and all of my siblings and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal on Sunday. As always, I advised when I arrived that I was a ceoliac sufferer and asked all the necessary questions relating to the food available to make sure I chose gluten free options. However, ceoliac attack happened within 2 hours of leaving the restaurant which resulted in the rest of my evening being spent in my bathroom, being extremely ill and 2 days later my ribs and stomach muscles still ache from wretching for hours. I tried to phone this evening to talk to the owner before leaving this review as I don't want another ceoliac sufferer to have the same experience. Unfortunately got response that messages were full so no option but to review on line. I will continue to try to contact the owner. On the plus side we all enjoyed our meals at the time, service was quick and staff very pleasant and helpful and Sunday lunch was good value. I am therefore so disappointed I became so ill.
