This place is outstanding. The food is Michelin star level. So many choices and varieties. The staff are brilliant, friendly and very helpful. The setting is also very fitting for the Tea room.

Unfortunately, we drove to Scarva today, checking first on line that it was open. Had two elderly ladies with me. So disappointed to find the Tea Room closed. There were others there too trying the door. I understand that people have to have time off. But please update your website with opening and closing times.

The place and the service is lovely, however the food is just good, still have some wee points for improvement, like for example the French toast was not properly well done, it was soggy and not too much flavour. On the other hand, the desserts are excellent. The prices are very reasonable.

My partner got a ‘full fry’ (which was very small) and the beans were served in the tiny pot shown in the picture! Only equates to a spoonful. He said it’s the worst fry he has ever gotten. I got the raspberry French toast and it was cold, stale and bland…the French toast seemed to have been made in advance and had been sitting for a few days. The mascarpone ontop was the only bit with flavour and made the dish edible. The coffee was nice and staff were quick to take order etc. But we were never asked how our food was, otherwise I would have mentioned some of these points. Defo style over substance and I won’t be returning

We were shopping in portadown and decided to drive over for my wife likes there food .when we got there sorry hot food is over...tea and tray bakes only..they didn't say that on the menu..I won't be back ...

Fantastic breakfasts, great coffees and cakes. It was the fanciest fry up we had all week when touring around and the pancake stacks were delicious. There are gluten and dairy free options for breakfast - they had no problem with allergies and so helpful. Charming place, bright and light inside or the option of sitting outside on a nice day. They have a separate seating area so you can bring your dogs with you. Lovely location next to the canal.

Limited parking in the car park but usually on street parking is fine. Tasty food and great coffee. Plenty of outdoor seating for good days. Nearby canal walks. Usually a busy place.

First time here with family. We had to wait to be seated but didn't mind. The meal was well worth the wait. Staff were very efficient and friendly.

I will start with the positives that the food was beautiful and the staff were nice just the set up let everything down the 30 min wait to get in the building was not great especially when there was a shower of rain. It would be helpful to have a rough estimate of wait time. Once inside and seated the service was quick professional and friendly, the staff were exceptional and where not the let down as the set up of a cafe is down to who runs it. Also there was a line of dirt down the teapot initially I thought it was stain until I made scratches on it with my nail

Sat outside to grab a coffee and traybake, very nice food and coffee. Defo will be calling in again.

Great location to stop to rest the legs on towpath from Portadown to Newry. Buns are enormous and coffee hit the spot.

I used to come here a lot on Sundays before they stopped serving food on Sundays. I rang to check and they said they stop serving food at 3 so I got there at 2:40 after work. No one came out as I stood outside until 3:05 and they said they’re not serving food anymore so we ended up having to go else where. The food here is really nice and if you get to have it I recommend it, but it feels understaffed. There should be a few smaller tables outside so huge tables aren’t taken by 1 or 2 people.

Worth the short drive out to scarva when in Banbridge , you'll not be disappointed

This is a very popular, trendy venue in Scarva and they have an ever changing menu of specials that can be checked out on their social media. I've had brunch there a couple of times. They have a conservatory area which is accessible as dog friendly, or their outdoor seating is dog friendly. I've not eaten from any of their main menus, I have only had various brunch specials, and they were fantastic. They also have an amazing array of cakes and tray bakes that can be boxed for takeaway along with a coffee. Their location just next to the canal/cycle route is optimal for people to be able to stop off for a quick pick me up!

Fantastic eaterie, tea room in Scarva. The food is sumptuous and the outdoor area is magnificent on a fresh hungry day. Lots of choice and plenty of decadent pastries with coffee and cream. Popular and vibrant,chic and chilled. Fabulous, tasty food and friendly faces a lovely wee oasis in Scarva.

Service excellent staff friendly grub good

You need at least 2 hours to dine here. At least an hour to wait outside on a table. Once you do get in, staff young and very unfriendly. Food average.

We went on a cold January Sunday which means that the indoor tea room is closed & everything is operated from the horsebox trailer and seating is at picnic tables in the courtyard that is covered by a large canopy. We simply had tea but the staff were friendly & it was busy considering it was so cold.

HollieBerrie at the Tea Rooms provided the perfect lunch. Each of us had trouble choosing from the menu because there were so many good options! We were all delighted with our food and very pleased with the service. Will definitely be back!

A lovely cafe serving great food and cakes.

Having cycled 20 kms from Newry my son and I had built up a good appetite and needed something to eat in Scarva before our return journey. It was so disappointing to order food and then find that they bluntly would not accept euro cash. I had forgotten my debit cards so the order was cancelled. Every coffee shop in the South will accept Sterling cash at their set rate. Why is this common sense arrangement not reciprocated in this establishment? Very unwelcoming for tourists.

Delicious breakfasts. In a prime stop-off location for cyclists and walkers down the towpath. Service is very efficient. Indoor and outdoor seating as weather permits. The rows of tray bakes and cakes often prompt me to make an additional purchase when paying for my meal!

Fantastic selection of Buns, Biscuits, Cakes and Pies. Really good cup of coffee. All at reasonable prices within a very clean, bright, spacious and comfy Tea Rooms. You also have the option to sit outside in a lovely alfresco area. Will deffo be back again. 10/10

Good food, the tray bakes looked amazing but resisted the urge. It's a great spot to sit outside, lots of flowers and just nice scenery. All the staff were friendly.

Stood in the rain for 20 mins outside with other disgruntled customers even though tables were available as numerous people had left Doesn't seem to be a set person organising seating. When I got in I was shown to a sofa with a shin high table to sit at I can only assume because I was in my own and didn't warrant a table lol. Waited 10 mins then decided to leave. Beautiful setting and food looks great so I will go back and try again with company so I can get a proper table but service issues seem to be a common enough theme in other reviews.

The weather makes everything look good ! Perfect spot to go if you want to eat outside , and lots of dogs 🐕 . Lunch looked good , cakes very rich . Coffee ☕️ excellent. But you could do with more staff to clear tables and serve . Staff very nice .

Beautiful setting! Excellent food. Friendly service. Just queing in the rain was not my idea of fun. We almost left because of the waiting time, but pleased we didn't. Worth the wait.

Visited this place today for the 1st time from recommendations, we weren't disappointed. Lovely decor inside and out, plenty of variety on the menu, something to suit everyone. Pancakes are their speciality and they are delicious.

Called for the first time at this cafe checked as it was meant to close at 4 and we arrived at 3:20 and the staff were wrapping the food up at this stage we were completely ignored by staff as if we weren't even standing there. Food looked nice but didn't get to taste it

Lovely setting and great food, was pleasantly surprised at the size of the menu and how hard I found it too select something. The burger stack won due to an onion marmalade and I was not disappointed. Rounded off with a slightly heated Mars Brownie and icecream.

Fabulous tea rooms on the Newry Canal greenway. Perfect for a rest break from cycling. Real leaf tea in a pot, plus really amazing cakes at a good price. Staff we lovely too, friendly znd helpful. Definitely recommend a visit....

Food was nice and service was quick. Liked the way they put an assortment of different salads on the side of the toastie. Hot chocolate very good. Great choice of cakes and traybakes to choose from. Would pop in if you are over that way. Has outside seating, which was great in the summer. Prefer sitting outside to inside. Inside isn't very wheelchair friendly though as tables are all close.

I only have 2 words to describe my lunch today.... ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and Gluten Free

Queued for 45 mins outside. There was tables free yet the staff were not showing people to them. A woman got a table on her own for 8! Another table sat empty for 20 mins then the people at the front of queue were eventually shown to it. Ridiculous set up!. If people need to wait to be seated then they must have a member of staff in charge of allocating tables and as soon as empty getting them filled. Food nice but certainly not worth the wait!

Nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. Good outside space with bike racks. Only downside, it was busy Saturday lunchtime and we had to wait an hour for our food.

Serves a good breakfast and coffee

Myself and two friends came here today for brunch! There was a long queue to get in which moved slowly but that didn't matter to us, once we got in we got our order in, the food didn't take too long to come out. All of us got different pancake, and all three were amazing. Very surprised on how cheap the bill came up to also, will 100% be coming back! :)

Having a cup of tea at home to warm up after standing outside this cafe for 20mins in cold damp air. When the rain came on we decided to go past the "wait outside" sign. Although there were empty tables, we were told we were not allowed to sit down until tables had been sanitised and we must stand outside whether it was raining or not with no coats. Disgusting customer care. After standing all that time had to give up, crazy. Thankfully most cafes are not like this

Lovely place especially the location. Gorgeous soup and tray bakes. Need a few healthier options for those of us trying to be good but a decadent treat. Gluten free scones would be so awesome addition if possible ...even from frozen. Pretty please 🤩
