The Bearded Goat in North Down

Was here yesterday morning had the poached egg bacon on a piece of sourdough bread. They now bloody charge £10 for this unreal. Never again will I be paying £10 for this wee breakfast it’s now up 20% Theirs better places in Bangor at far cheaper rates.

Our food here was delicious, with thought evidently having gone in to building flavour to make super tasty breakfast dishes. The coffee is excellent too. Add to that the friendly staff and the fun interior decor and you have an absolute winner.

This was the nearest cafe that our BnB recommended for breakfast. We were expecting an Ulster Fry or something, but this wee place is a unexpected treasure. It’s a warm and quirky, contemporary & fun wee space with lots of goat themed paraphernalia on the walls and smart light fittings that make you smile. The staff are quick, friendly and attentive and the menu is full of familiar flavours with wee twists to make things interesting. Two fat slices of toast for our 6yo come with wee dishes of oozy blackcurrant jam and crunchy peanut butter. My husband orders the G.O.A.T. a super stack of sausage patty, smoky bacon, avocado, sauces and thick runny fried egg and is the happiest of bunnies. My Salmon Benny is just a joyful heap of perfect poached eggs, well seasoned hollandaise finished with zingy lime juice on more of the sourdough toasts. Coffees are ace too. This was the nicest breakfast we’ve had in memory. Definitely a contender for the G.O.A.T. ❤️

Very tiny cafe in Grays Hill. Have often passed by but never called in until yesterday. Great breakfast menu and the food we had tasted great. Will definitely be calling again

I have been here many times and enjoyed excellent coffee, amazing food, great vibe and service, friendly staff who are a great team The Bearded Goat himself is Adam who has put together a great all day menu and sourced most things from local suppliers Go once, it won’t be your last !

My daughter and I have visited three times and it is her favourite place to eat when she returns home from Dublin. The food is amazing. We opt for the squeaky cheese which is delicious sourdough with halloumi, poached eggs and avocado. The ingredients are so fresh and made to order. This is a small establishment and exceptionally well run considering the space they have. They make it look effortless and the staff are so friendly. I also have to say how good the coffee is! We believe they are very reasonably priced and am sure we will probably be visiting this weekend again when she is home. Keep up the good work!
