We made a reservation for three at 6o clock on 16th July but at 1 minute past 6 when we where almost there due to traffic we got a email saying reservation cancelled no explanation given , we where then left to find somewhere else to eat, disgusting way to run a business

Not pleased, did not like my drink ordered a karak chai server was lovely however the manager I believe, overcharged us and was not pleasant. Will not return

Para ser un lugar agradable el propietario o CO-DIRECTOR DAVID marcas deben entender que él necesita para permitir y pagar la persona que el contrato de consulta para el nuevo restaurante de la apertura. Parece genial en las fotos pero no parece genial en el lado profesional. Queridos David i todavía esperando por el 1.500,00 no pagar por mis servicios desde el año pasado.

The operators of this eatery are thieves and vagabonds. I paid £36.49 for food that was never delivered and no refunds made. These are worthless scammers. They should not be allowed to operate their businesses in a sane environment. I work hard for my money. Its non refund remains an open sore in my heart. Until that money is refunded, I will never wish the organisation well. Whatever they lay their hands upon is cursed! Lateef (07514257721)

2 and a half hours and three phone calls and still no pizza. Don’t need to say more really! Being told it’s in the car for delivery an hour and a half ago so I dread to think what it’ll be like when and if it ever arrives.

I ordered a box meal and some sides on deliveroo. They missed 2 items, the food that I got was dry and cold. They didn’t even put any napkins, any ketchup or any sauces. Not even salt pepper or any towelettes they normally add in any other KFC!!! I tried to call and no answer. An Absolute joke.

We stopped off on our way home and the place was empty apart from customers at the counter. It was quite apparent that the young lady behind the counter was not in the best of moods and clearly did not want to be there. She never raised a smile. She asked a colleague wether something needs toasted before or after it was placed on a sandwich and was dismayed when told it was before. She got a cardboard tray and reluctantly toasted said items. She then asked the lady in front of myself and my partner what she wanted and when the lady asked her to change her gloves she retorted that she was only handling food items. The lady pointed out that she had been round the back of the store and under the counter shelves wearing the same gloves. She huffed and ripped her gloves off and threw them in the bin. We walked out in disgust at the way the young lady behind the counter reacted to the customer. I raised my voice to the young lady saying that you do not treat customers the way that she has. I have never seen a member of staff react in that way before and I was totally shocked.

I have been a loyal customer of Five Lads Good Mayes for over three years, and while I've enjoyed the quality of their food, my overall experience has been a mix of satisfaction and challenges. The culinary delights crafted by Five Lads are undoubtedly good. Their flavours are rich, and the variety offered caters to diverse palates. However, my recurring concern lies in the delivery service. As an online customer who has never visited the physical branch, my experiences have been marred by instances of incomplete orders. On several occasions, I've received incomplete deliveries, leading to inconvenience and embarrassment, especially when hosting gatherings. Despite prompt apologies and refunds from the branch, the issue persists. The lack of delivery drivers to fulfil the orders raises questions about the overall logistical efficiency and customer satisfaction measures in place. Last year, there were inconsistencies in the spice levels, with the 'hot' category often resembling 'medium,' and 'extra hot' lacking the anticipated intensity. Fortunately, this issue has been addressed, and the spice levels are now aligned with expectations. However, the persistently missing components in orders, such as fries with chicken or rice with chops, raise concerns about the order fulfilment process. It prompts the question of how well the order sections are managed and the attention to detail exercised in the preparation and dispatch of each order. I urge the workers and management of Five Lads Good Mayes to empathize with customers facing these challenges. While the food quality is good, addressing these persistent issues in order completeness and delivery logistics will undoubtedly enhance the overall customer experience. I look forward to continued improvement and a seamless dining experience with Five Lads in the future. Food 4* Service 1* Portion size 3* is not worth the price.

I have used this grill for many years without complaint. However on Sunday afternoon 29th May. We stopped for a lunch around midday. First we stood at the sign to be seated. This took quite a while but it was busy. Then we were greeted by a middle aged woman. With what I can only describe as it was as if she was chewing wasps. She directed us to a seat which was being blown heavily with an air conditioner. The wasp eater said nothing when I pointed out the issue. She put her order pad in her pocket and walked away. I will never again enter this grill. They are obviously making so much cash they think they don’t have to consider their customers any more. Sad state of affairs. It used to be a nice stopping off place but alas no more..I would advise this place is given a wide berth. Was visiting Bristol and had heard good things about this. Bus is really cool and eye-catching. Guys were rushed off their feet so order took around 40 minutes. Onion rings were delicious, though very greasy. Coleslaw was quite gritty like the veg hadn't been washed so I ended up chucking it which was a waste. Long wait, not great value and poor hygiene. Won't be coming back I'm afraid.

It's our local and my family love the food. The service is half and half;sometimes we get a friendly service, and sometimes we get an overworked and underpaid member of staff judging by his attitude. But last time took the biscuit when the guy at the counter (goodness knows why) completely ignored me and served another customer before me. The customer apologised as he didnt realise I wasnt being served though I'd stood there in front of staff in an empty takeaway for about 10 minutes. And when I did finally get served the guy told me they didnt have any large pizzas left or any peri peri chips. Dont they just roll the dough out a bit more to make it larger? I dunno, it was all a bit weird to say the least. Shame really as the food is tasty, although bit pricey now prices have crept up.
