The best restaurants serving American food in England

Disappointed, we use to go to the stage door 20 plus years ago when the elderly couple owner the restaurant and it was beautiful, we have very good memories of the service snd food. Last night the food was disappointing, the sauté potato’s were greasy and my husband T- bone streak that he requested medium well was very rare. The service was slow.

Just had a lovely meal at the Hendon pub. Staff were quick and very friendly. The food and drinks are very good for the price. Lovely pub and great atmosphere.

Fantastic place. Massive portions. I would say it does the best breakfast in St Albans. The place was clean, tidy and the staff were welcoming. My only complaint would be the noise. It is a very noisy cafe... Because it's so popular. The radio was definitely not needed and just added to the background noise which is annoying if you want to ha e a nice conversation or simply some peace

Hotel had to cancel our original booking due to a fire in building opposite, they rebooked for 3 weeks later and put the price off our room as a bar tab to apologise. Cannot fault this hotel, that's now under new owners, only hope the people of hartlepool embrace it and realise what an eyesore it became when empty. We will be back soon, so much better and on par in price with the budget hotels nearby.

Realmente disfruté de la comida, mis amigos y yo queríamos ir a algún lugar para un almuerzo ligero nada demasiado pesado como teníamos planes después y no decepcionó. El personal era amable y fue que disfruté de mi visita. Sin duda volvería de nuevo!

We ate here while staying at the hotel. Firstly, the breakfasts were brilliant. Lots of choices from cereal and pastries to full english breakfast. We also had dinner there on the first night. The starters were delicious: mussels and bruschetta. But the mains we had could do with a little more work. Unfortunately, my pork belly was too salty, and my partner's thai green curry had a flavour to it, which we both felt didn't quite go with the dish. The staff were brilliant, and it is a nice setting for dinner with great views over the sea.

Lots of variety to choose from. Excellent gluten free options. A friend and I visited and throughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Staff knowledgeable and super friendly. Would recommend and visit again.

The bar is really cozy, the music is pleasant and the service is great. I stopped at the hotel’s bar for a drink and had the lucky to be attended by Janet. Janet was fantastic, attentive and super nice.

This place is now called Bar Wan I would give ***** for food and *** for service On this occasion, when we arrived it was quiet, the staff were lovely, food ordered and arrived quickly, steaming hot and fresh. Food is amazing! Then. It got very busy with some large groups and the staff became way out of their depth! Couldn’t cope! Called for more staff to help. Eventually asked if we would like to order desserts (when we stood to pay) and thanked us when we said no. We got some gu puddings from Sainsbury’s (at £2.50 for 2) and ate them back at our hotel. I would visit again.

Servicio lento, la comida no es excelente y el lugar estaba sucio y maloliente. No volveré No disfruté la visita.

Worst service you could expect. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and they forgot about my order. The place was basically empty. Staff rude. When my colleague had almost finished his meal and asked asked where my was, they indicated my burger sitting there for ages… saying that they it was still waiting for the fries to fry. I ate a cold burger with very hot fries in the end… they rushed to cook them… they clearly forgot. Bad experience. Nobody apologised… I should have got a refund. Needs better management. No go!!

My dining experience was very disappointing. The service was unprofessional, and the food quality was poor. The staff was rude and indifferent, and the steak I ordered at a medium cooking rate was overcooked and had an unpleasant taste. Furthermore, the poor quality of the rosemary used was quite obvious. It seems that they misunderstood the concept of dry-aged.

Soy un habitual en The Cock Inn y quería equilibrar contra algunas de las críticas negativas ya que es lo suficientemente difícil para los pubs locales. A menudo bebemos aquí y siempre lo pasamos genial. El concurso de los martes es brillante con premios en efectivo, bingo irlandés y sándwiches gratis (incluso pan y goteo en ocasiones) Las horas del té del viernes siempre están ocupadas y un gran ambiente. La hora del almuerzo del domingo es ideal para una bebida y un montón de pantallas para ver el fútbol. Sábados divertidos con karaoke! Fuimos el último sábado de enero y estaba lleno! Dudo que muchos pubs sean lo suficientemente buenos para hacer eso. Estaba lleno de todos los grupos de edad jóvenes y viejos todos despiertos para un buen tiempo. Sí, algunos estaban borrachos (shock horror en un pub), pero absolutamente no hay signos de ningún problema solo una noche divertida. La dueña es fantástica y hace que todos se sientan bienvenidos si eres un lugareño o simplemente de visita (pregunte a los trabajadores de Tranvía). ¡Acompáñame y pruébalo, no te decepcionará!

Lovely staff all very helpful, and accommodating steak was amazing. Will come back. Server was sandijs.
