The best restaurants serving American food in Taunton Deane South West

We visited on a Sunday in August. This is a modern fresh subway and is well laid out in a biggish space. There are views of the river from the restaurant which is nice. Staff were pleasant and food was as expected. The Toilet was very clean. All in all a great visit.

A fantastic meal made all the better by the amazing staff. Louise, Lizzy and Cherellee you made our night. Good luck with fundraising for Chef’s hair transplant 😊

Fraser has been more than amazing with our table. We had 2 children with us and he ensure that we had drawing and the kids were entertained the entire time. It made our meal so much better. Thank you for being so attentive. Your customer service is amazing x

We had a big family lunch at the Chapel on Saturday 5th April. 15 adults, 3 children plus a little one in a high chair. Many different orders but all our food came out at the same time, all piping hot and all delicious! Everyone enjoyed their food immensely and a few found room for dessert (which were yummy). Service was fantastic and friendly, the building is stunning and our experience was perfect! Many thanks to Team Chapel for your hard work and hospitality!

I stumbled across this place while walking past, and I'm so glad I did! The food was incredible—especially the grilled butterflied sea bass, which was absolutely delicious with a perfect crispy skin. The service was top-notch; the staff warmly greeted us and checked in throughout the meal, making it a really pleasant experience. The atmosphere was lovely, and everything felt spotlessly clean. I left feeling like I got great value for money—can’t wait to come back!

Lovely evening spent at Hub Box in Taunton. Despite being a large table we were greeted very quickly and the food came out in great time. Everything was delicious, with empty plates all-round! A very large party had arrived upstairs, which can sometimes mean a change to the service you receive, but staff continued to be attentive when checking on our food, asking about extra drinks, desserts and paying the bill. Shout out to the chefs who were clearly very busy this evening but didn’t let their high standards drop 🤩👏👏

I popped in for a freshly made cheese and pickle sandwich. In hindsight: I realise I was overcharged: £5 for two slices of white bread ( not very fresh) from a cut loaf packet of bread, average taste of the grated cheddar which was not particularly generous in filling and some Branston pickle added as filling. I should have tried one of their pasties that looked OK but pricier than say Greggs the bakers by far. Not good value at all. I won't revisit. At least the counter staff were friendly!

This is a very dark cafe, it could do with some lighting and also a good clean to make it more welcoming. The fireplace looks like it hasn't seen a cleaner in years (there are loads of cobwebs that hang down from the chimney and they have been there everything we've been in and the kids have a deep layer of dust). Staff are friendly and coffees are usually fine.

Lucy and Brittany gentleman were brilliant .. they looked after us so well .. great food and cosy atmosphere all in all a lovely evening

I ordered and asked for no drumsticks or thighs as I am allergic to brown meat did they read that no they didn't had to throw it away will not order again I could have been really ill what is the point in leaving points if they don't read them, can't express anything to just eat because they will do nothing about it hope this helps future customers
