KFC in Taunton Deane

On arrival we were informed that discounts were not available as the systems were down and they could would not honour any even though I pay for a discount card on arriving at collection window a member of staff with there back to us clearly had their vape hanging out there back pocket contravening food safety laws as this is the second time in two weeks no paid for discounts poor quality food and general unhygienic presentation we will not be visiting the store again

Absolute rubbish spent £60 for four box meals' one meal was missing one had stuff missing and all cold and Soggy not Edible won't ever go again!!!!

Arrived at Hankbridge drive through and waited in a queue of three cars for about ten minutes. My order was taken in a curt fashion by a young lady. We then proceeded to the servers hatch. The hatch slammed open and the card machine was thrust forward without a word being said,when the card was accepted the hatch was slammed shut again. We then waited another period of time before yes you’ve guessed it the hatch slammed open and the food thrusted to me no sooner than I took the food the hatch slammed shut without a word being exchanged. To add insult to injury when we got home we found the chips we ordered were dry and shrivelled up and the bread on our burgers was dry.I WILL NOT VISIT AGAIN. In fairness I recently visited the Taunton town centre and Lee Delamere branches without cause to complain.

Third time this outfit in the town has disappointed. Desperately slow service again, despite not being busy. Tables need cleaning. Asked for them to open upstairs hoping it might be clean, was greeted with more filthy tables and empty food bags. Must have been left from the day before or staff themselves?? Really is poorly managed. Come on KFC you need to visit and investigate this sorry situation. Only go to treat the kids and I expect this every time. Sorry state.

Food dry and cold. Did not eat. It went in my dustbin. Rubbish service from a girl.who looked like she had never smiled in.her life Old food reheated dry and tasteless AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Staff can never decide whether they serve Krushems on the drive through. Tonight's excuse is they're cleaning the machine. Placed an order at 10pm they close at 11pm, sat waiting in the car park for 30 minutes waiting for our order. Diabolical service since they opened, would be quicker to drive the 40 mile round trip and go to Exeter instead....

Bought a chicken meal to take away and eat outside in our car. I couldn’t believe it when I took a piece of chicken out of the bag and oil poured down my arm and on to my clothes and on to my phone which was on my lap,needless to say there wasn’t any crispy batter just soggy mush. I suppose its my own fault as we gave them a try when it was first open when we had a disgusting offering then,but I did think that given time they would of got their act together never again!!!!!!!!

The food has improved here recently after many complaints regarding portion sizes of the chicken. However this has now improved dramatically with larger portions and Juicy chicken. It just needs the staff at the front desk to smile more.

Always spotlessly clean staff happy to help and do anything good food for good prices I know that’s what kfc usually does anywhere but cleaner and nicer at this one really can’t fault also ordered delivery here and was got to my house in 15 minutes and was hot and tasted great .

Ordered via just eat. Waited 90 minutes for order. Never arrived! Driver got as far as the road next to us then turned in the opposite direction & went down another road where they faffed about for about 45 mins then the map said they had lost signal with the driver but not to worry as our delivery was on its way. No it wasn’t! Then after about another 45 minutes trying to get on to the chat was told that my order had been delivered. When I said it hadn’t they asked me to go check the neighbourhood! You couldn’t make it up! So, let’s get this right, you pay for delivery but you have to go out & try & hunt down your order! Don’t think so! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Staff take a laid back approach to work providing very slow service in a indifferent manner. The upstairs seating area is always closed no matter how busy they are. Often, supply's are low which means that there could be no salt, straws or the right size lids for their cups.

This kfc has been going downhill since the first lockdown. Cold food, wrong orders, items missing, tiny portions, dry chicken, and now a weird taste. It tastes like they’ve changed the recipe. And now really expensive. I can eat in a pub for the same price, and that’s what I’ll do from now on. Just want to say, this is nothing to do with the delivery driver, this is purely down to kfc. I won’t be using them again.

First of all, the service was terrible! I am happy for workers to have a chat, but please note they also STOPPED working to make conversation. Therefore, the wait was extended even further! I spent 80% of my visit waiting for the food rather than eating it because there was barely any food to eat! I believe this is KFC as a companies issue, but the ratio of chicken to chips in my snack box was baffling! It was not a ‘snack’ more like a dozen potatoes used for chips alone side a singular slither of a chicken. However, if you do attend this god awful food shop, do splurge for the 30p REAL tomato as it was the only good thing to come from my meal.

Really looking forward to a party bucket my daughter picked it up as she lives in Taunton we live in chard when we got it back missing 14 pieces of chicken as well as popcorn chicken so all be aware and check your orders otherwise you will be robed like us .

Went out with friends for teh afternoon. Dropped into KFC on the way home. Order food, and then wait as one after the other after the other food delivery riders turn up and are handed food whilst you wait an age. As a walk in customer you are 100% at tthe bottom of the pile. KFC are not unique in this respect but they need to stop walk-in altogether if they can't serve you in a timely manner. And to add insult to injury - I have been up since 3am (now 9pm the following day) with food poisioning. I mentioned going out with freind as I was the only one to go to KFC, and the only one to get very ill.

Vile chicken and so so dry So looking forward to our treat for the family and was so disappointed to find the chicken dry and crunchy. Never going back and what a waste of money.

What a shockingly bad experience we just had... 1) the order was placed 16:40 2) After more than an hour I had to call the store to ask where it was, to be told that the delivery driver was on his way back to the store to collect it, and it would be with us in about half an hour. 3) We went to the store ourselves to COLLECT the delivery order 4) Got the order home (5 mins in the car) Chips COLD, gravy COLD, chicken COLD 5) Rang to complain about the temperature and the lack of a portion of fries from 3 piece meal, to be told that we'd have to make a complaint to Deliveroo, not KFC. I also pointed out that the delivery had obviously been sat around for an hour waiting for collection but was told it had been freshly prepared, yet the carefully packaged bag stated it was for collection at 17:00, so it HAD been sat around for over an hour as the quality of the food would attest. As a diabetic I need to plan my mealtimes carefully, I factor in a delay time of say 15 minutes, but this was ridiculous. Blaming the delivery company for the missing fries was the last straw.. OWN YOUR MISTAKES

Had a kfc one Saturday afternoon...perfect, albeit the service a little slow jump forward to Friday about 8pm and the experience was unbelievable, not in a good way. Deliveroo and other delivery drivers push past you and actual face to face customers left waiting. Order screens turned offer, what's the point in having them? Customer service is out the window, none of the servers looked happy to be there. KFC need to change the way it handles their services. To the food on Friday, no corn on the cob after we ordered it, boneless chicken was soggy and not very warm, chips were okay...will not go back on an early evening.

If kfc taunton was an animal it would be a sloth! Service was okay but the waiting times are ridiculous! 35mins for a bucket of chicken, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing special... just a bucket of chicken! PRIORITIES need to be sorted and delivery drivers need to be dealt with separately and they need more counters and extra staff to deal with the orders from the apps!

Waiting half an hour for our FAST FOOD (slow food) they seem to prioritise Uber eats or deliverroo over face value customers. Absolute joke. Customer service is also shocker, I asked about how long the wait was an the reply was I have been here since 3pm, well sorry love it’s only 10 o’clock we’ll done for doing a 7 hour shift? Like we don’t all work as well!!

I went here to get some for for my family. Ordered my food on the self serve kiosk which was quick, then I had to wait for 45 minutes while they dealt with the order. All I could hear from the staff was useless comments between themselves about why the food is not in to be cooked and who has done their e-learning. Perhaps they all need trading on how to provide quick and efficient service. There is no organisation with this KFC and a severe lack of management. It's about time that Taunton had another KFC as this one isn't any good. Anyway I'm still here waiting for my order and it's now 60 minutes waiting. I have also noticed the amount of Deliveroo orders waiting for collect on the side not being kept warm at all. One order has been there for 40 mins and only just being pick up now. That will be nice and hot for the customer... hopefully I will get my order soon or it will be breakfast.

Thought I'd give KFC a shot for a change. There was a twenty minute wait and the staff appeared to be very slow and disinterested in providing a quality service, however, I wouldn't have marked them down for this had a) my food been to order and b) it was hot - I understand as a fast-food establishment, a quality service is not the priority, but the other two points I certainly expect to be fulfilled. My complaint ties into all three however. I asked the assistant at the till if my single piece of chicken that came with my fillet burger meal could be a leg, to which she agreed and passed this message on to another member of staff. His exact reply was 'I won't remember that', however, as she retorted with 'make sure you do', I felt assured that this simple request would be carried out. Sure enough it was my turn to collect and I took my meal and made my way home, where, to my dismay I had not been given a leg like I had so politely asked for, but instead a rib! and what's worse, it was cold and dry. This has been a wholly wasteful experience and I have decided to bin the entirety of my meal. I would give this KFC a 0 if I could, however, a 1 star is a compliment and they don't deserve to trade. I guess this is why everyone goes to Mcdonald's.

Literally worst service going, employees are pushing useless and takes half an hour for a cold tasteless burger. Would rate less than 1* if possible don’t go don’t do it to yourself

It's KFC, I wasn't expecting anything fabulous. The food was exactly what I ordered and it was hot, although there was about a 10 minute wait, but hey its cheap and I was glad it was pipping.However, it's the filthiest fast food chain I've ever been in, food and debris on every table, we went upstairs to look for a clean table but there was drink all over the floor.We cleared our own table with napkins and wet wipes......I'd say its worth it for a takeaway if you really can't do without. But maybe bring some hand sanitiser for your brief visit.

I went to visit kfc after passing through the town on a visit and I would just like to say how amazing the door staff on the entrance to KFC was, I believe his name was Scott. He was so polite and helpful even wishing me a good night which I thought was really sweet. Not only this he went out his way to help me with travel directions around the town. However, I was not so keen on the customer service on received once I was in there a small lady in her late 60’s served me and was so rude telling me I had to hurry up with my order and then blamed it on me when she didn’t give me my correct order. I also witnessed her talking very rude to her colleagues which I thought was very wrong... no one deserves that!!!Well done to the door man at least my entrance and exit was better than the service I received !!!

Get your staff to clean tables, floors, wipe down dirty surfaces so people can actually eat. They manage it in Mac Donald’s why do I never see a cleaner in KFC! Every table is filthy: up and down stairs. Clean UP!

Driving home from a long day, we decided we wanted to stop by kfc for a nice takeaway - we spent more time then necessary waiting for an elderly, short staff member who carried out their personal conversations with another member whilst trying to take our simple order - she was rude and blanked us when it came to serving/ taking our order and after this we also found that she had left out one of our 3 drinks from our 3 meals, by this time it was too late too come back - I understand there are also other negative reviews surrounding this woman and I suggest you get rid of her

With the new self serving screens, and staff concentrating on dishing out customer orders, waiting times has improved.. What hasnt improved is the amount of grease on the fried chicken. Left awful taste in your mouth, chips are warm but lack quality.

I’ve just dropped through town on my way home and fancied some fried chicken. I walk in the door, there is absolutely no one at the til, customer wise, but two staff members at the til chatting amongst themselves. I have just stood at the til for the best part of two minutes whilst they finished their conversation. Appalling. I then ordered a 6 piece feast which advertises a certain price, off the top of my head cannot remember the price. However when I came to pay it was more than it was advertised. When I calmly questioned the lady behind the til, who by description is fairly elderly and extremely short, she snapped at me, borderline shouting with an appalling attitude, I was baffled, by this point another customer was stood next to me waiting and we both looked at eachother in amazement. I then calmly explained to the woman behind the til that I will not be spoken to that way and reminded her how to treat customers. As I was walking away I could here the woman laughing and trying to play me down in front of the other customer, who I’m pretty sure stuck up for me as I was leaving when I heard her say “he’s right, you shouldn’t talk to people that way”. I didn’t even get a chance to taste the food, upsetting. Management need to address this lady as soon as possible and I would like to hear back about it if possible.

We went into KFC for lunch and ordered a bargain 6-piece bucket which comes with 4 portions of fries.

Called in for a quick bite, for lunch,with my daughter on the 7th May and unbelievable for a fast food outlet NO CHIPS, some people walked out others went next door to McDonald's and bought chips.

This is the worst experience I have ever had in any retail shop. Slow service, rude staff, missing items, the whole place was just filthy.

Me and my partner went in for a lunch time meal to only find there was a hair in are food. We approached the counter and they tried blaming who we were saying it was there hair. The customer service was terrible the staff spoke to use like we were dirty. They throw the food on the counter and said that’s for them. We used to come in often we won’t be coming back.

Popped in for lunch with family while in town shopping, never again.

We visited today for a quick lunch, the food was good as normal so no complaints there but the restaurant was so cold, and really dirty. Our table upstairs hadn’t been cleaned and the floor was filthy. There was a table downstairs which would have been a lot easier for us considering we have a 4 yr old and a 1yr old with a pushchair, but the seat fabric was completely torn revealing the foam padding underneath and it looked so dirty and unhygienic I didn’t want to sit on it!

I have eaten at many KFC's throughout Britain and can honestly say East Street is in the top 3. The food is always hot and fresh. The staff are willing to help if anyone is not familiar with the huge menu. Eat in or take away you will not go wrong with this store.

Awful! The place needs reporting to health and safety! Went in today with my family and we ordered our food and then saw the state of the tables chairs etc. Unbelievably grotty and damn right unhygienic! We left and stood in the rain eating the terrible food before binning it! Awful, just awful!

I am leaving this review as i am fuming. I only paid a few quid for my naughty treat , one in a while , junk food meal, and i was disgusted to find that when i sat down to eat it, that it was just a KFC . I couldnt believe it as , although i only spent a couple of quid on this meal, i was expecting a Michelin star dinning experience. And not only that, i had to help myself to napkins and cutlery, as the table wasnt laid when we sat down. Also lacking , were the candlelights. The floor looked like hundreds of people had walked up and down the restaurant all day ordering food, and i had to put up with a long cue of people , chatting to each other , while i was sat down trying to concentrate my pallet to the subtle flavours of a KFC. The deep fried chicken just tasted of deep fried chicken, and the deep fried frozen french fries tasted remarkably like , deep fat fried frozen french fries. I didnt try the Diet coke which comes free with the meal, as i wasnt thirsty, but i bet it tasted nothing like champagne. The worst few quid when expecting a michelin star meal i have ever spent

I used to live in Taunton and KFC was always a treat. Popped in today, took one look at the manky state of the place, ripped seats and stains. Horrible. Walked out. End.

After all the problems Thay have had lately I was a bit disappointed when I went in looking forward to a nice zinger Tower burger but they had no hashbrowns and an awful lot of other stuff was also offthe menu so I’m guessing they’re not quite up to speed yet shame

I ate my chicken, it was very licking, I put it in my mouth, just to see what it was about. it was juicy, very very wuicy, I liked it a lot almost as not.

The staff here are terrible, particular the evening supervisor who is a rude, miserable woman. Every time I have visited this place over the years I am treated appealingly by her. I visited late one Friday night and was snapped at for asking for a meal rather than a "box meal"! I was then informed that they would be closing in 10 minutes so would have to be quick if I wanted to eat in. 2 minutes later and my friend and I are unceremoniously kicked out for closing time!

Hectic, staff have no customer service skills and under staffed not enough tills open taking orders for the size of the place. Upstairs appeared cleaner than down stairs.

The evening supervisor is rude . The chips are always undercooked and orders always wrong very disappointing surely it's not hard to read an order it also closes at random times one Saturday it's open till 2am and others it's closed by 12pm nothings ever done to improve it it's been like this for years don't even know why I'm bothering to write this review

Taunton kfc tiene que ser el peor kfc que he comido. Ordenados deshuesados fuerte con salsa/tar. Patatas fritas probado 'funky como sucios de aceite y fría desde el momento que llegué a la mesa. Era difícil y complicado de pollo. No suculentos y jugosos. Luke palomitas de pollo caliente. No regresaré. Debe cerrar y empezar de cero en todos en coche a través de en las afueras de la ciudad!

Friendly staff, quick and helpful service. Plenty of comfortable seating, efficient air con & heating. Food as you expect from the better KFC stores - tasty and well cooked. Loos and store clean - 5* food hygiene rating.

Mala experiencia en KFC Taunton. . Después de comer en una noche la semana anterior. Yo estaba absolutamente indignado y horrorizado en la limpieza de todo el lugar. Tuve que pedir a mi mesa limpian, porque francamente no me permite comer a perros y, en segundo lugar, de hecho, me desanime mi comida después de regresar de los inodoros, donde preferiría de se levantó y malezas en mi propio uso pantalones largos, que hay. . Siendo una mujer embarazada con un repentino wc instamos, no había absolutamente ninguna manera yo estaba sentado allí y con aseos. Había orina en el piso y alrededor del inodoro rim - secos de orina (claramente no se ha limpiado en algún momento), he usado papel higiénico para poner el asiento y aún que estaba sucio, así que me negué a utilizarlo. Olía absolutamente repugnante y sólo me echó mi comida, porque si la limpieza de donde podemos ver es diabólica, me atrevo a pensar qué sucede detrás de la barra y en la cocina! ! Bien no soy normalmente uno para quejarse, ni tengo trastorno obsesivo compulsivo, ni tampoco pretender Im comer en un palacio, pero es algo que yo quería se señalarían a la atención y resuelto de inmediato, porque en mis ojos, es inaceptable! ! !

Had a really good meal here. Nice atmosphere and the food was piping hot! Prefer this over mcds anyway. Had a bad experience in the yeovil branch but decided to use Taunton's branch today and was a good decision. Faith in KFC restored!

We usually go to KFC once a fortnight. Great reliable food - just what we want and the service is always excellent.

Friendly happy staff.Good quality food.Clean restaurant.Great when compared to Bridgwater KFC.Parking may be a little issue, but is available at the Sainsburys car-park (which is free after 6pm).

Staff in taunton are a bit , well what can i say. Could do with a little more customer service training. If they get your order wrong and u say then its like the biggest problem in the world.Food itself ,its a kfc. Love it everytime

The staff in this joke of a place are so rude. I hope this place goes bust soon. Every morning they let some ponce sit out side and bother people for money. The food is week warm and tastless. The manager of this place is rude and needs the sack. Avoid at all cost!!!

Visited today reluctantly after having an item missing from the order last time we were here, we were served by a rude guy named Kamel who seemed very annoyed that I was looking at the menu as opposed to ordering instantly even though there was no que.My partner then asked if she could swap her chips, this was before she had ordered to which he replied with a simple no, I had a burger which had sauce on nearly half of it but the box was covered in sauce and lettuce, chicken was dry and luke warm at best.Shoddy place all round, we will not be going again

Whoever runs this KFC really isn't interested in it. The broken glass in the door has been patch up with a multitude of cardboard instead of a decent looking piece of plywood or similar. The lights on the KFC sign in the street are either broken or switched off. The whole place has a dismal air. I think next time I will go next door into McD

The place is unclean, tables full of rubbish, i still don't get the order i wanted bits missing, if i didn't live so far out of town ill take it back.Its run down and out dated Taunton could do with a drive Thru

Once again I visited a Kentucky Fried Chicken establishment. I don't go often, and I always regret it afterwards. When will I learn. And all those calories!

went xmas shopping with the wife ,got a bit tired walking from shop to shop ,you ladies know how to shop.well called in here for a coffee & a bit to eat ,can i say the food was hot fresh & tasty & the place really clean i was impressed .the pricing is good to i had the combo ..2 pieces chicken,2 hot wings,2 chicken strips & chips & coffee all for around £5-£6 .. worth a visit if shopping in town.

I was persuaded against my better judgement to buy a KFC for my boy as some sort of treat. The service was reasonably quick, and the staff were polite and helpful.However, the chicken was saturated and dripping in fat. The chicken was hot and tender, but lacked any appreciable flavour. The chips were as awful as I remember from many years ago, and should be described as thin tubes of fat. the sides of corn on the cob were good, and had it not been for this and the friendly staff my rating would be worse. Surprisingly, the constant stream of customers made me wonder about my judgement, had I got it wrong - no, the next morning when I still felt bloated reassured me that I will never buy a KFC again. Why is it so popular? I don'know, I can only imagine its the problem that people want fast food rather than home cooking, this probably explains the obesity that exists amongst families these days, evidenced by the size of many of the customers. The staff did not appear overweight, but then they see how its cooked so don't eat KFC they merely sell it.In future I will stick to a 'subway' for fast food, it does have some healthy elements to it.

I been to a lot of KFC, cause my husband like it, Taunton KFC is the worst one I ever been. They have no customer service at all! Awful place ,avoid it!

i come here once a week because i love KFC but its not good here in taunton the chicken is lovely but you cant really go wrong with that can you ? its everything here the service is bad the fries are constantly cold or undercooked or both now come it cant be just me that realises this . everytime my husband comes home with our order theres something missing come on its really frustrating wake up .

One of the best KFC's ive been to. Great service on this visit. I ordered the original recipie with a side. The cashier informed me about a deal that wasn't on the menu. I'm not sure why it isn't on the menu, I have asked KFC.
