The best restaurants serving American food in Chelmsford East of England

I was at a cycling event this weekend with Anne’s Pantry serving food all day. Anne was lovely to deal with and the food was great. An amazing alternative to a generic burger van. Can highly recommend them as I had 5 meals from them over two days, all delicious and served with a smile and friendly chat.

AMAZING Well…what more can I say other than WOW! We went for a meal for my sisters birthday in one of the pods. We were worried we may of been cold, but the heater inside ensured we all stayed lovely and warm. The filet steak was sublime! The nicest most tender steak! The staff were brilliant. If I had to find any negative it would be, I paid a £20 holding fee for the pod which would of been nice to have taken off the bill at the end. We will DEFINITELY come back! Big thank you for the dessert bought out for my sister for her birthday as requested! Thank you so so much for a perfect evening

We went to the Bee hive just after they had reopened under new management. It was on Friday 6 of January. To our surprise they had a music act on. The singer was great covering all types of songs. From 70s to up to date. We left very late and very happy. In fact so happy we decided to return Saturday night only to find that they had another live act. He was again a very good singer and made all feel very welcome. Staff so nice and by the end of the night just knew what we were going to order. Very cosy and with a warm feeling. We will be back and just can’t wait.

Just went here for a lovely belated Birthday/Valentines meal. Was greeted and looked after very attentively. Food came at perfect intervals and was absolutely delicious very good prices too. Vibe of the restaurant was great, they were busy which is always a good sign but not crowded. All staff friendly and courteous, would definitely recommend and return again.

Our first visit was on the 23rd January we had a lovely lunch the food was amazing our server was called naz she was so helpful so friendly nothing was too much for her , we loved the layout and the decor it was just a lovely experience looking forward to coming back x

I had the best experience today at this Subway, I decided to order a sub of the subway series menu and I can’t remember precisely what sub it was but oh my god was it delicious. Overall I had an amazing experience!

Visited lunch time on Thursday to take advantage of the fixed price lunch menu, which whilst limited, offers good value. Kasia our waitress was very attentive, friendly and could not fault her. At 12:30 we were the first and only customers in there. One other person dining solo followed at 1ish and then one more table of two by the time we left so it was quiet and slightly detracted from the ambiance. The food was very good on the whole but one of the two steaks was quite tough, which was a shame but it’s just luck of the draw. I would happily return but the house red was very sub-par and I would not be drinking that again.

Back Inn Time is a classic Chelmsfordian restaurant, and we all love it. Let me start with the best bit - the staff. They're all lovely, cracking jokes, making you feel at home and they know the menu inside out. The food is classic American style foods; Superb steaks, burgers, amazing ribs just to name a few and all washed down by their extensive cocktail list. I don't think their prices have changed in 10 years, which make the whole night a steal.. We love it hear and will be back again and again..Great for family, friends and children will love it here too - there is a toy train that does the rounds, adding to the charm of the diner. Its a 10 out of 10 every time - Thank you to Jane and the team for amazing nights and fond memories - see you soon :)

Peter, sorry to read that writing and publishing several 5 star reviews about yourself on Trip Advisor didn’t work out well for you. Better luck next time chap.

The Delivery driver was polite and it came quick enough which was fine. But just under £27 for two dishes? It was extremely over priced for what we received. The two dishes we ordered were the hot milk chocolate cookie dough (which tasted alright, nothing special - which it should’ve been at that price) And the “smoking sizzly sizzler brownie platter” which was an utter abysmal, absolutely terrible. It was like a mashed up broken cake, and for that price I’m absolutely gutted - I feel conned! I wouldn’t recommend those dishes 😂😂

Every single time I go into this Subway the same woman, presumably the manager, is berating a different young man working behind the counter. Genuinely shouting at and bullying them right in front of customers, I think it’s disgusting and completely puts me off going in. The same experience with the same woman whenever I have been in there in the past year and I have also witnessed her being rude to customers. She should be ashamed.

Absolute disgrace. Service was a shambles- red cups over the taps gave the impression of closed shop- floors sticky, ran out of Gordon’s gin and toilets looked like something out of the shining. This used to be a half decent bar- pathetic excuse of a pub and serious lack of leadership at this establishment has lead to a culture of underachieving and apathy- bar manager appeared clueless and more Interested in high fiving wasters, busy puffing the magic dragon and stinking the communal area out with a combination of BO and stale laundry.

The worst KFC ever, We ordered our food at 18:25 ( 25 minutes later we are still awaiting our food… The worst service I have experienced from KFC! They just do not care )

Absolutely filthy Asked for table to be cleaned but no one did in the time I’d eaten. Floor so dirty and the area they left our food was even worse. Such a shame, staff very friendly but some decent management is needed
