Dropped in for lunch and to use the facilities. Found staff at the Starbucks considerate and welcoming, things clean and the seasonal drink I tried very nice! Also surprised to see dogs are allowed inside 🐶 so will probably return with my pup

It is what it is. A hole in the wall in the second floor of the sports centre with tables in front. But offers good views to the sports hall and the swimming pool. Food and drinks as you would expect as well - machine coffee, pre-packed food. If your coffee cup is not quite full, it is topped off with hot water (!). Serving people lovely, though, and prices reasonable. But nobody would come here for the culinary experience….

Quick service by polite staff. Food was poor however: My Havana Heatwave Burger was overcooked and chewy, my wife’s barbecue chicken was dry and rubbery, and they seemed to have tried to offset this by it swimming in bareque sauce, which didn’t work. Last time I ate here it was Ok, but on the strength of this meal, we won’t return.

The coffee is great and the best prices around for the quality and size. The light bites were delicious, again very well priced for what you get. Would definitely recommend if you aren’t too fussed about coffee with a view or environment or brand name.

First time there and won’t return. For a pint of beer waited 15 min. I don’t wanna try with anything else. Thank you, but no. Eventually barman came with the coffee instead. They weren’t even that busy..

Mixed. Cocktails were yummy. Muchano was so lovely, friendly & funny! However my partner ordered a pint of Korev, it was flat, asked for “a live one” got told by Ed it would be fizzy in his mouth 🤣🤣 He just wanted a fresh, clean glass. After 10mins was handed back the same, now warm pint…. Sooo we bought a bottle of beer & more cocktails.

Very disappointed with our two visits: the staff were busy chatting with friends, and took ages to produce a couple of simple drinks, seemingly considering customers to be a bit of an inconvenience. Their line manager needs to give them a quiet word in their ears about how useful customers are, otherwise they may end up with no customers to sell coffee to.

We have visited to four other restaurants/cafe in Wellington High street over years of eating out, I truly hope that this review will be helpful rather than just critical, so where to start. I'm not going to comment on the cake side of this business, because I didn't come to Blondie's to try the Cakes, which i'm sure are great, but i'm here for Breakfast. the restaurant is nice with comfortable seating, nice size tables, and the colours are nice, unfortunately the restaurant from the outside looks like a hair salon rather than a restaurant, on entering the restaurant we sat down and looked at the menu which was as expected, I ordered a pot of tea for one, I know how I like my cup of tea, but when it came it was in a mug already with milk and for my taste a little over milky, but no disaster, we then ordered a full English breakfast. we waited for just over an hour before our breakfast arrived. the breakfast itself was fine without being great but certainly ok. the problem is that free parking in wellington is 90 minutes, it took us 15 minutes to walk from the car park to Blondies restaurant, so would take us another 15 minutes to walk back to the car. so you can see that I was now concerned about parking fines. now I know that this isn't Blondies restaurant fault but an hour to cook a breakfast is too long, the price was a little expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. I would very much advise that you visit the other restaurants, Sofias is 50 meters walk away, and is full. Blondies is pretty much empty, which is a great shame. what would I change, I feel that Blondies needs an identity as a cakes Restaurant its failing because the decor doesn't lead itself to this kind of clientele, as a traditional restaurant/cafe the staff need to be more on the ball, better quality, more of it, lower drinks prices. I do hope you guys succeed but it really does need a re-think, and I hope this review might in some way help. Mart

Took my family there and was hopeful for some nice chicken. When you enter, there are plenty of tables. We found a table for 4 quickly. Noticed the table wasn’t clean and there was food on the seating. There are 6 ordering screens but only 3 were working, The ordering screen was easy to use and I elected to collect from the counter. We waited patiently (hungrily) for 30minutes then decided we need to see what’s happening, the staff member said our order would be with us shortly. 5 minutes later he arrived with a tray of food but no food for our kids, he said it would take 4 minutes. I asked why it took so long and what was the average wait, he said they were struggling due to having 2 large groups and usually orders took between 5-10 minutes. I was not impressed as there seemed to be plenty of staff. My wife ordered grilled chicken tenders and they were served in a cardboard box, when I lifted the box off the tray to pass it to her, a lot of liquid began literally pouring out of the corner. Needed quite a few napkins to mop it up. This liquid was oil (yuck). I ordered a ’Chicktopolis’ burger which was huge and to be fair was very nice. We all ordered skinny fries and there were plenty of them. They were adequate but no more. After 7-8 minutes the staff member arrived with the kids food ( grilled tenders again) and explained they were extremely hot. They were exactly that, they were far too hot to handle so we had to keep them away from the kids for a few minutes more. Once again they were practically swimming in oil and my kids were not impressed. I suspected microwavery as the chicken was very rubbery and chewy. We all ordered milkshakes with our meals and they were average at best, me and my son ordered chocolate but I found it challenging identifying any hint of chocolate. All in all a very underwhelming visit. Whilst we were there, roughly 55minutes, we saw no staff cleaning tables and the place began to look untidy very quickly. I had expected perhaps a different experience from the likes of KFC etc but this was so poor we will definitely not be returning. It was pretty disappointing that they made us wait so long, then they made us wait again for the kids food which was the same as my wife’s order. Why does it take sooo long for chicken And why the hell was the “grilled” chicken swimming in oil ?

We became a bit concerned when we arrived at this restaurant above the Horse Shoe Pub in Chipping sodbury High Street and there was no one there. It was empty. Down stairs the pub was rammed with revellers enjoying the live music. Trying to fins the restaurant was a bit complicated as it didn't seem to be clear where we had to go and we wandered around the pub for a while trying to get our bearings. Eventually we found a door that led to some steep steps which would make this a difficult venue for anyone disabled or in a chair. The stairs were steep and at the top was a sign telling us to wait here to be seated. We rang a small bell and a lady came and showed us to our table in a completely empty dining room. This sounded the alarm bells. why was there no one else dining? It was a reasonably attractive room but very cold as the window was open and several of the seats had rips in the cushions? The sound of the band from down below was extremely loud and made talking a bit difficult. We were given menus and immediately told some of the dishes were off. Ratatouille, Fillet, T bone and Rib Eye were all unavailable. Undeterred we ordered 2 Monk Fish, one Sea Bass and one Pork medallion. The server came back to tell us the Monk Fish was also off. So we ordered another Pork and a Sirloin steak with Bourbon BBQ Sauce? Then we waited. for over an hour actually. Our server brought us a bowl of Crisps to keep us going. Eventually when the food arrived it was very disappointing. The Sea Bass was actually so small it would have made a good starter or a Tapas dish but it went nowhere near a main course. They delivered the 8oz Rump and not the 14oz Sirloin. There were no sides, no additional dishes to compliment the mains and the Portions were very small. The Pork was over cooked and dry and the Asparagus was stone cold. There was enough Hollandaise Sauce to feed a dozen people and none of us even tried it. When asked by our server if our meal was OK we did tell her it was cold and that the wait had been far too long. She said they had staff problems and there was only one chef on duty. However, she did agree not to charge for the wine as a good will gesture. This wasn't the '5 star dining experience' we were promised and there were mistakes at every level. I do hope they can resolve these issues or their new venture will be short lived. I think they are trying to do too much, Pub, Music, Wine bar, BBQ food , fine dining. They need to decide what they want to deliver and stick to that. The Hill Top Restaurant was I'm afraid a step too far.

Great place for food, drink and music in the heart of Rotherham town. Relaxing place to spend a evening or for breakfast and lunch.

Had seen this open in the tea rooms on Kinver high street, and as a southern fried chicken lover couldn’t wait to go. Starters were lovely and very big portions, complimentary corn bread was great too. We both went for the classic southern fried chicken, a leg, thigh and breast with mash and greens. The breast fillet strip was cooked perfectly, unfortunately the leg and thigh were pink and warm as you got into it. We didn’t want to make a scene as it’s a very intimate place (12 people max) so whispered to the wonderful waitress and sent it away. I was shocked when she returned and the chef tried to defend it saying it is pink on the bone because of the veins in the chicken 🤷♂️ A table nearby did the same, not because we did, but chicken and pink simply are a no no. Lovely little place, wonderful waitresses, great cocktail list….but need to take more care with their signature dish! Paid full price, wasn’t about that, but disappointed not to be offered any form of discount or a free drink given we sent 50% of the main course back! Sadly won’t be returning which is a real shame 😢

I have been to about 3 Wildwoods and the South Woodford one is just as good for food and the £10 lunch menu is great value however this branch has a kids room and although there were loads of kids sitting with their parents enjoying great food those in the kids play room ran riot whilst their caring mums drank wine and were oblivious to the noise. For some the kids play room is the reason to go here but for those who could not get out quick enough from the noise of screaming kids throwing chairs at each other it is a reason to avoid the place like the plague. For me and my daughter we will not return as the noise is just too much.

Where do I start. We were a party of 8 adults and 5 kids and most of the party had a decent meal of burgers but I didn’t and I’m the one leaving a review. I ordered a fillet steak which, at nearly 40 quid alone I was expecting to be pretty damn good. Add on chips at 5 quid and peppercorn sauce at 4 quid and you’re talking fifty quid for a steak and chips. It ought to be great. When it came out it looked miniscule, and when I cut it open it was well overcooked, so I told the waitress and she took it back and said she’d get another. I was then left with a pot of chips and my sauce going cold. 10 minutes later my same steak reappeared after having been put back on the grill to be cooked to oblivion. Not sure why my message got interpreted wrongly but you obviously cannot uncook a steak so they just cooked it more..?! I then spoke to the waitress again and explained what I wanted as simply as I could and she then took my plate away again. 10 minutes later a manager appeared and I explained what had gone wrong and she said she’d get me another steak, I reiterated medium rare. I told her my chips and sauce were also now cold & she said she’d sort them too. About 15 minutes later when my fillet steak reappeared it had been butterflied like a chicken breast and looked like a pair of attached beef burger castanets. It was cooked on the outside and also cut and opened and grilled so it was cooked on the inside too. It was as thin as a minute steak and again, well overcooked. Never seen anything like it. To make matters worse. About 35 minutes had elapsed since everyone else’s food had arrived so I basically would have eaten alone. Really disappointed.
