The Snug Bar & Kitchen in Wycombe

Cold venue and cocktails taste weak , pina colada was the worst I have had ..one bar tender who made my cocktail and it tasted terrible ..music was fab ..

We were visiting High Wycombe to go to th Swan theatre for a matinee performance of The King And I. I booked a table at The Snug for 12:00 expecting lunch and cocktails prior to the show. I paid a £15 deposit. We got to the door at 12 to find it locked and no one inside. It was tipping down with rain. We rang the bar and only got the voicemail. We waited for 15 minutes then went across to the Heidrun opposite. We watched several other people fail to get into the Snug. I eventually had a call from the duty manager who apologised and said that they don't do food and haven't done so for a couple of years. The website says otherwise. This needs updating. We won't be returning.

AMAZING! My self and unconventionally 29 others played a game of 'pub golf' on 07.01.23 and the bar staff working this night were amazing. The energy was incredible, and a huge shout out to the poor man and woman who had to make 29 Pornstar Martinis and two of your birthday shots. I had heard this bar to be one of the more expensive ones in Wycombe but they- kindly off their own back had given us a discounted rate which was a lovely surprise for all of those taking part. I would definitely recommend this bar as there was not one smile missing off of any of our faces. We all left raving about the experience we'd just been a part of. I am looking forward to going back! as it truly made mine and the birthday boys day a special one.

Went with a couple of friends and the service from Liam especially was amazing. great drinks, great conversation, and just great atmosphere and music. Thanks Liam for making it one of the best night highly recommend.

My daughter ended her hen night party at this venue and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Reserving a corner for us and giving us waiter bar service, decorating with balloons and giving the hen sparklers, party poppers and ‘headgear’!! They were friendly, attentive and catered well to dietary needs. The bouncers were friendly and helpful and I’m already planning my next visit! There was a large range of cocktails to fit all tastes.

We recently visited the Snug after hearing about massive improvements since our last visit and we werent let down! The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is just 10/10!! The bar’s been transformed into a fun and beautiful place to drink! Will definitely be recommending. Drinks 10/10 and managers not bad either

tonight we came to the snug for a first meet up in a while and the service was very interactive and we had a great time and very worth it for the money!!

I visited on a Saturday evening before going to Trilogy, I had such a good time!! Hands down the best cocktails in Wycombe. Not the cheapest place but the 2412£ offer was very reasonable. The staff were all lovely, very chatty and clued up about the drinks they were serving. Would highly recommend!

The drinks were nice but extremely expensive. We noticed that we were charged different prices each time we ordered and we inquired about this. Turns out the waiters were adding their own gratuity charge! Without asking us first! The lady at the door was like a drill Sargent. We were scared to go to the loo as we were told not to move from our table. No food available too.

One complaint, the prison warden who was Covid 19 duty when we arrived. Ushered to the edge of the room & virtually told not to move. Went through the rules as if we were 5 years old and being naughty. On leaving she was just very rude, couldn’t get us out the door quick enough, shan’t be going back there

We went to the Snug yesterday and had the best time! The cocktails were great and very moreish. The bartender serving us was great, he really went out of his way to make our visit special. Will definitely be coming back!

Loved the atmosphere of the bar and the service was excellent, we were served by Susanna whose customer service was friendly and welcoming, would definitely recommend her as a server. Menu had a wide range of cocktails and were really good and fantastic prices during happy hour!

The cocktails here are amazing and the 2-4-1 deal makes it great value. Our server Alice was attentive and friendly, definitely recommend a visit!

We have been here a few times . Cocktails are lovely and 2 4 1 at happy hour . friendly staff. Only negative was that it’s a bit cold and had to wear my coat.

Actually they do not do the food they used to but the drinks are really good. They take so much care with the cocktails with terrific finishing touches like passionfruit half set alight on the zombie etc. if you go before 9pm it is truly good value as it is 2 for 1. nice staff. although beware if one of them are on a break - we had to wait ages for our first drinks.

Great local venue for 2-4-1 cocktails with the girls for my birthday.Staff friendly and attentive - good drink selection and value for money.The venue wasn't overly busy but we didn't mind that at all - didn't stop us getting up and having a dance (the DJ was playing some brilliant old skool tunes) and it meant we got our drinks quicker. Great place to start the night off.

The Snug in High Wycombe used to be the Glass House. There were large group of friends meeting here and that's all I'm glad about. We stayed for the 2-4-1 cocktail and left. There were no ales on offer here only beers, if that is your preferred drinks, you're be fine.However, the cocktails we're so popular that everyone was ordering them. Which slowed down services behind the bar. It took more than half an hour to get served! A couple of us went to Noodle Nation next door to eat, came back and a friend was still waiting to be served. We vacated elsewhere.Being a Saturday night, there was a DJ which was fine but standing around waiting to be served is not our ideal night out .

Decided to come here after work on a Friday to take advantage of the cocktail offer as well as some food. Great service, very friendly and chatty staff as well as lovely food! would come again just for the cocktails!

The fairy lights outaide only 3 of them work, decking needs a good clean and the heaters have been broken for months.241s seem to get more and more limited time wise and its certainly got more lenient on who is allowed in. Such a shame, this is a great place to go for a night out for some drinks if you dont want the rowdy crowds, the queueing etc, just some nice drinks, maybe some food and somewhere to go out in high wycombe, it was a perfect bar for 25 to 35 year olds! Now... there are kids who certainly look underage falling about everywhere and blokes generally making a fool of themselves, cleaemy far too drunk to be being served? I know arguably, this is not the bars fault but, why are they still serving and not getting the secyrity to do anything? Despite this as perhaps it was an unlucky coincidence the last 2 or 3 times ive been in there... it doesnt have the same atmosphere or service anymore, its called the "snug" i imagine because its cosy and intimate and welcoming... not so much anymore. Sadly, it was such a great place once. Bar staff need to polish off their customer service skills as the cocktails are impeccable and a fab, different menu

We visited The Snug Bar on Saturday 6th April (5pm - 8pm). They had a happy hour from 4pm - 9pm where all the cocktails were 2 for 1. There were so many to choose from. As I was the designated driver I had a few mocktails. I didn't fancy any of the ones on the menu. I asked the bartender if I could have a frozen strawberry daquiri but without the alcohol. This was no problem. We watched the bartender make the cocktails - so colourful and interesting to see them being made. The cocktails & mocktails werw delicious. We were also given recommendations of which ones to try depending on what kind of flavours we liked. The staff really made you feel welcome. When we arrived it was quiet, by the time we left it was very busy. There was music playing but it wasn't too intrusive. It was mostly tunes from the 90s & early 00s. A really nice place to go. Will definitely return.

The IPA is rank. Bar man wouldn’t swap for a lager. Obviously he’s trying to prove a big point about their quality beer....😣

The snug was one of the bars we went in It's a nice looking bar with friendly staff. A well stocked bar but not cheap. So if your drinking cocktails prepare yourself to pay for them. but font let that put you off

I would like to say that our choice for place to catch up is always Snug. Always consistent and they have got great choice of cocktails . Drinks are updated almost all the time and you will always find something new and special. We had a great night last night thanks to team ( especially Bart fantastic cocktail maker )who was looking after us.Well recommended

This was our final stop in our night out in Wycombe and while the building was nice and the staff were great, the drinks were very overpriced.

Why is the snug not a snug place? I imagined lots of candles, blankets and faux fur thrown over comfy chairs. I imagined this would be an escape from the world, something special, but it's far too mainstream.

Called in while waiting to see a local band, Sleeper UK, at The Antelope in High Wycombe. Six of us experimenting with 2-4-1 cocktails. Friendly service. Friendly atmosphere. Great,.

Was pleasantly surprised as have always swerved in the past but 2 4 1 cocktails and super friendly staff mean I will be back again!

This place is alright, i would recommend the cocktails, but only on a two for one as they are expensive charging London prices for a small Wycombe bar. Shots ( of tequila) are , in my view, very expensive and not worth the pennies. However the Staff are always lovely, and love to gossip and gripe about the place to the customers, giving an overall friendly, if not low moral vibe. The food I've had here ( nachos) was not great and seemed overpriced. However the atmosphere often ( not always) makes up for what the place might lack in good food and well priced drinks. I would recommend a visit only in happy hour, though you have to get two of the same cocktails for the price of one, it's still a good deal. Not my favorite place in Wycombe, but it's good for larger parties and after work drinks.

Not enough seating in this bar. I can understand them not wanting to overcrowd it with seating but there’s nowhere to stand comfortably either. It wasn’t extremely busy but we had to stand huddled round a small table near the busy bar because there was nowhere else to stand with our drinks and all the tables and seats were taken. The cocktails were tasty though, reasonably priced (2 for 1 at a certain time) and freshly made in front of you. Good choice of cocktails using different spirits with easy to read menu and descriptions of drinks. Nice bar with a nice atmosphere but not enough seating.

Nice choice of cocktails to choose from . What really made our visit was the friendly staff behind the bar. Chatty and making jokes with customers.

Drinks & Bar Staff: Plenty of range and the bar staff are quick and friendly.

We called in here as The Hedriun was full and although the decor looked a bit tired we decided to stay. Drinks were a bit expensive and we ordered the Nachos which for £9.95 (as a large plate to share) was woefully inadequate so much so that I asked the manager if he considered the quality and potion size acceptable for the money. He agreed it was rather small and said he'd replace it. Although larger, more nachos and a bit more cheese there was no sour cream and came with a green substance that was supposed to contain avocado. We won't be returning and with other establishments opening in town they need to really up their game if they're going to continue trading.

Had a fantastic night here last week on Friday, we came here for a pre-drink before seeing a show at the Swan round the corner. Barmen & Barlady were lovely & friendly. Can't go wrong with 2 for 1 cocktails, it's a shame it finishes at 9pm. Came back here after the show too which was a little busier but the atmosphere was great. Music playing and everyone seemed very happy. Would recommend for a night out.

The happy hour cocktails are always presented well and taste amazing. Food also great - I had a burger and my friend had a vegetarian dish. very nice and good and friendly service :)

The word Snug conjures the idea of warmth and cosiness. This place is anything but.!!!

Tiene una zona de estar exterior. peculiar Lo recomiendo encarecidamente! Sirven 2 por el precio de 1 cócteles más días si 3 - 9 pm! Es mi nuevo bar!

Had a few drinks and food here with some friends. The atmosphere is nice and the selection of wines / cocktails is good. Food was good and everyone enjoyed it.

Me, My other half and friends go here loads. The staff are really friendly and helpful Cocktails are amazing Happy hour every day - love this and on a Sunday all day 100% somewhere to go for a few drinks

Fuimos al bar este fin de semana 21 - 22 y lo pasamos muy bien. El portero era muy educado y servicial. Ayudandome con sitios a los que ir y lad en general, muy agradable. Entonces, el personal del bar era muy amable e incluso se acordaban de mi copa favorita mientras. Es tarde en la noche. Una feria que no pedir unas 6 veces jajaja. Bar los clientes agradables y tranquilas y decente agradable y amable. Duda recomiendo este bar como portero y el personal del bar es muy acogedor, lo cual es raro hoy en día. Tops chicos.

Visitamos una vez antes para algunos cócteles genial en una noche con los amigos y más tarde decidimos probar la comida con mi pareja. No me decepcionó. Recomiendo encarecidamente hummus, ensalada Caesar y patatas fritas de camote. No sólo hay un único ambiente muy relajado...

Swung-by the Snug (first visit) after a meal out with friends - nice place. Quirky but attractive decor with no two sections having the same set if lampshades (love the hats shades, btw ...). Impressive-looking Cocktail menu, which we will go back to sample. Highly recommended.

Went out there for a friend birthday, they had 2for1, would have given it 5 stars if it didn't finish at 9 pm! Would be good if they can extend the offer a bit later than this but overall good place

If it's cocktails you're after then The Snug is the place to go to. It's good value and, on a Friday night, the atmosphere is buzzing and the service is great - the waiting staff come around the seated area collecting orders and then returning with your drinks. However, I've only given it a four because the food doesn't match the drinks. Shame.

I like coming to the snug to have well made cocktails and to talk with friends. Most staff are brilliant and very attentive. It does spoil it a little with the dj on weekends now so loud you can't talk.

Good place for a festive catch up with friends, with a reasonably priced Christmas specials menu. The flat iron steak and the Christmas burger pretty tasty. The 2 for one cocktails, served till 9pm meant it didn't break the budget.A great choice of cocktails to suit every taste....

We were working in High Wycombe and needed a place to eat in between our rehearsal and concert when we found the Snug Bar. Although the menu had fairly limited choice my fish and chips were first rate . The fish, which was in beer batter, was particularly good. As we were working I only had a soft drink, but this was refillable so very good value. Being a Saturday early evening the bar was busy, but the service from our waitress was attentive and friendly. All round it was a very enjoyable meal.

Attentive service from waitress opened tab and came to take food (unusual) and drinks orders which was nice to see. Burger was nice, serving block is quite small so not much room to manoeuvre! Nice friendly vibe too, prices fine.

I haven't been here for a while. Although having been I think it will be a regular visit. Good value cocktails and music setting a chilled but upbeat mood.

Lovely place. Prices was ok.. but staff not very friend rude in fact. They guy serving behind the bar was extremely rude. And it could do with a good clean and a paint.

I absolutely love it here! All the staff are amazing...friendly, accommodating, patient, and actually good at their jobs (Harry, Adele, James, and Joe to name a few of my favorites)! I may have a new addiction to the 2-4-1 cocktails (always made well) which covers several hours of the afternoon/evening (3-9pm). The drinks menu is well varied so will cater for all; the food, what little I've tried so far, has been up to scratch and very reasonably priced.I have recommended The Snug many times over to those I cross paths with, and I will be continuing to do so. However, one thing I do feel is that that the venue could use a re-style/redecoration ...there's nothing grubby or off-putting about it, it just deserves a bit of a spruce up.

Happy hour at The Snug is always a pleasure, especially when you have a server as attentive as Adele! She was fantastic, appearing at just the right time for another round of drinks...and great chat too!

Just want to say a huge thank you to Paddy and the team who worked though the Bucks Uni graduation week. My colleagues and I were fortunate to have our graduation day fall on the Friday; a perfect end to the week. Thanks to Paddy for allowing us to make use of The Snug's large screen TV in the conservatory area. We filled this area with graduates; their friends and families, and showed a specially made video for the occasion. It most definitely was a graduation to remember and a great atmosphere all round!Thanks, Paddy and your team for making it unforgettable for us all!Recommend this place for celebrations. The team are very accommodating!

I've been here once for a few drinks and found it very nice! Slightly over priced and abit too small (found myself standing most of the night) but I would love to try the food and it looks delicious!

Go here for drinks and they have good offers, reasonably priced, maybe a bit on the expensive side. But very nice place to have a drink

So I used to attend the local uni and was in the town to visit friends. Never been to the snug before but they had..both the inside and out was great looking and i was impressed not high end but nice and cosy. I had a milkshake, I have had better but can't really complain about it..it was also happy hour so I had to have a drink same with the drink although I have had better won't complain...the service was on point with friendly staff. The ladies was clean and the other visitors friendly...I would go back there again if ever I visit high Wycombe.

The service is willing enough, but the food is second-rate pub fodder. My chicken Caesar salad had no sign of any anchovies in it, while my wife reckoned that the sour cream in her dish (was it a Mexican burger?) had gone beyond sour and was past its sell-by date. I'd guess they are better at drinks, but unfortunately, I was driving, so I stuck with water. It has to be admitted that Central High Wycombe is desperately short of decent options, but I'd probably opt for Zizzi's in the Eden Centre instead.

We met at The Snug at the start of our night out, due to the 2 for 1 cocktail offer. There was a good atmosphere from the start and the range of cocktails was excellent. Although we only stayed for about an hour and a half, I would recommend it for the start of any evening out.

I visited here last month with a friend and recieved a lovely welcome from Harry behind the bar. The drinks were delish and quite cheap for 241 and the smoking area outside was comfortable. Recommend as a nice place to eat and drink when staying in High Wycombe.

Probably the worst bar in High Wycombe. Over priced beer and bar staff who seem more interested in chatting to their mates than serving customers.

There only seemed to be 1 person at the bar and 1 waitress, which made the service very slow, however the food was lovely. No J20's and the children ate off of the main menu as the kids menu was quite boring.

Love this place! Most of the staff are really lovely, quick, efficient, and incredibly friendly. The foods really nice, although maybe a little pricey in comparison to nearby pubs. Their deals are always worth it on a night out too! Great for non-drinkers or those driving, as they have non-alcoholic cocktails as well as free refills on Pepsi etc

So I came out to the Snug to meet some friends and sample the Mac and Cheese which they always tell me is the best in Wycombe. I'm a lover of cheese and macaroni so I thought.. Why not? I was served by Jacob at the bar and he took my food order and prepared my drink. He was lovely. 10 minutes later my food arrived. I didn't know anything that tasted better in my life. For something so simple as macaroni and cheese this was to die for!

We booked our staff Christmas party here after seeing it on the internet. It blew our expectations away! We chose the lower seating area surrounded by windows which was comfy and spacious. The staff were all outstanding and looked after our every need with big smiles. The food was lovely and they have a great range of cocktails!!! I would definitely recommend this lovely place....and we will be booking for next year!!! Thanks guys for a great evening!!!

Looking forward to another Christmas treat here after last year when I had a Christmas celebration meal with friends. The Christmas menu choice was quite different from many restaurants. The meat platter was delicious almost leaving no room for the main. Great cosy atmosphere too.

We'd booked last minute tickets for Dawn French at the Swan and found the restaurant fully booked but the waitress suggested the Snug a few mins walk away - I'm glad she did!Had one of the tastiest burgers ever and bloomin' good coffee. The knowledgeable guy behind the guy explained how the group chose their coffee to ensure its top quality - and it was!We then read through the cocktail list - I truly believe its one of the most comprehensive I've seen (move over American bar at the Savoy..!!) My other half had the 'hot woo-woo' and loved it - like another reviewer - we can't wait to work our way through the incredible selection.Well done to the staff and the Snug group for pulling off a different style and concept so well

I had my daughters 21st Birthday Party at the Snug, it was amazing, the staff where so professional, organized & thoughtful, they put up all the party decorations for me, put the cake in the cellar so it stayed cool, we had a DJ & a photographer, the atmosphere was perfect, everyone enjoyed themselves, the food was fabulous,the bar staff where very attentive to all the guests, I couldn't have asked for a better venue, thank you Paddy for making my Daughters 21st birthday so special.I can recommend The Snug for any party venue, just perfect. A BIG thank you to all the staff.

Went here after going to the Wycombe Swan, I had a sharing veggie platter OMG it was sooooo tasty everything fresh and hot and there was more than enough for 2 people, cocktails moorish such a great relaxed, friendly and sociable place. Will defo come back with all my friends. Made our day even better than it had been. So pleased i live locally. Thank you :-) :-)

An extensive cocktail menu with a chilled atmosphere. Fantastic espresso martini. Friendly bar staff, prompt service, maybe a little overpriced for the location? Excited to try more from the menu....

Stopped off for a quick meal and was not disappointed. Had a New Yorker Burger-left bun as GF with Chunky Seasoned fries and my daughter had a Pig dog. Would have liked little more salad but the meal was very tasty, fast and fresh. The mocktails were sensational and I had a nice surprise when I found my choice was 2for1. Will definitely be going again. Good atmosphere, nice range of ages and super staff.

Popped in for a quick lunch with a work colleague - have never been in before and will definitely be going back. Staff were very friendly, service was quick, no problem finding a seat. Lovely décor with some quirky bits. I had the fish and chips and there were divine. Will be back!

Not actually eaten here yet but keep meaning to. I have however been here in the evenings for drinks with friends many times. I've been on busy weekends when the bar is buzzing with people, and been on a quiet, relaxed night too.The cocktails are amazing and SO much choice. They are pricey but in my opinion this makes the people that come here a lot nicer than say the likes of ceratin younger generation bars-I'm way past THAT sort of atmosphere now and The Snug is just great. No trouble The staff are also very friendly and efficient. I remember this place from when it was The Glass House and I love what they have done with it

Booked a table for 3 on the strength of other good reviews on Trip Advisor, but ended wondering if we had come to the same place...?The food was very plain, a small burger served in a cold bun with a scrap of limp salad and ordinary chips, I ordered one topped with Blue Cheese, but there wasn't a hint of Cheese on it, also had to wait over 45 minutes for it, just not on...?If this was one of the best rated places to eat in High Wycombe, I'd hate to think what the worst are like.They ought to stick to being a cocktail bar and not try to serve food, they clearly didn't give it the attention to detail that was required.

This could be an average little place.....But it's not, because the staff are the best I think I've ever encounteredThey can't do enough for you, and it makes all the difference. We organised a baby shower recently, and every query was met with an accommodating 'of course you can'From putting up balloons and banners (which they did for us before we arrived)to having little ones comes along, to having a cake table.....they even brought out little boards for us to pop the cakes on without us asking. Their eye is very much on the detail. Special shout out to paddy, lovely guy with plenty of banter who arrives to take your order as you take your last sip. Worth his weight in gold that oneAs previous reviewers have said, the cocktails are pricey on their own, but are 2-4-1 til 9pm and that's great value, they are very tasty. The food is also very nice, we all ate and there were no complaintsWell worth a visit, and well done to Tash and the team for being such attentive hosts :)

Came here with a recommendation - didn't have food, only drinks - they are a bit pricey for what you get, but make the most of the 2 for 1 and you're laughing. Service was good, if maybe a bit slow, but they are making cocktails from scratch, so you have to cut them some slack. although a large glass of red wine was over £7 and a cuba libre was £4.30 so not sure why the difference in price, as the wine was not a posh one! Still, it's what we got and it was busy. We went outside as it was warm, and there is some seating, but not enough for everyone - but this is by design, the outside is where the smokers go and there are a lot of them, so they have made the most of the space, including placing a wheelchair ramp on the side. so you can't really criticise them for doing that. All in all, a good place, but not somewhere I think you can find a spot and park yourself there for the evening, it's more of a place to go to before you go on somewhere.

Thought the night I received exceptional service from both Ben and Paddy. The food was top quality and at a reasonable price. The cocktails are by far the best of any bar in the local. However booking a table is highly recommended as it does get full very quickly. Thank you Snug team and I will be back next month for a cocktail party for my Birthday.

A few of my friends moved to high Wycombe recently and whenever they come home they rave about this place. So when it was my turn to visit them, the obvious choice for dinner was the snug and I was not disappointed.The food was absolutely delicious! There was a true range of choices to suit all sorts of dining preferences, and unlike most bars of this nature, the portion sizes were plentiful. The dessert was perhaps one of the best I've had - high praise coming from someone with a sweet tooth like mine. Perhaps the best thing The Snug has going for it are the cocktails. You end up spending ages looking through the menu because there is such an abundance of choice, and better still they use good quality brands rather than the cheaper booze which one might expect with cocktail bars. The staff behind the bar are more than happy to help you chose and answer your questions, which certainly helps with chronic indecisiveness like mine. I was actually really surprised with how personal the service was, the staff were so attentive, one lad even moved 5 chairs across the restaurant for us so we could sit where we wanted. I'm already looking forward to going back with my friends.

Great choice for hubby's 50th little bash. Pushed the boat out... Food and cocktails till 1pm. Paddy looked after us all night...what a star!! Would not hesitate to book a party again...expect to pay more for alcohol but so worth it!! Even had an area allocated for us and birthday banners etc put up for hubby. 12 of us went to The Snug for cocktails and nibbles before going to see Fifty Shades Of Grey at the cinema ,Food was lovely we had sharing platters .nachos and chips and if you have a student card you get 25% off food ,cocktails fantastic and 2-4-1 deal is fantastic ,we were served by Paddy and he was great very attentive and looked after us well .a great start to a brilliant night ,we will definitely go back 5 stars

Went to lunch with my bestie and her 6 month old baby boy, decor is very loungey and warm. Quiet Weekday so there was only one person at the bar but he was pleasant, quick and efficient. Food was lovely - I had the mac and cheese which was textured with mushrooms and had a flavoursome parmesan breadcrumb topping - it looked tiny but I could barely finish it! My friend had the chicken sandwich - which I've never seen in a brioche before - yum! Will have to try that at home. All in all a pleasant, affordable lunch. Only tried the mocktails, but I'm certain (from other reviews) that the cocktails are lovely, after all, the variety is huge!

I call Snug last Saturday to ask for table for 4. There was no problem and we get one of the best tables in bar. Waiter was quick and very nice. Thanks!!!

My friends and I went on a long weekend to High Wycombe, and The Snug was without a doubt the highlight of the holiday. The food was delicious and you could tell the ingredients used were of the highest quality and the chefs were very well trained. The cocktails were delicious, and made perfectly each time. The staff were super accommodating, and we're starting to plan our next holiday to High Wycombe already, if only for another Pornstar Martini (pardon the pun)! Whenever I come to High Wycombe I always make sure to pay a visit to The Snug. The extensive (and delicious) cocktail menu keeps every trip interesting and the food is consistently good quality. I always find the staff particularly attentive and very welcoming indeed...I would definitely recommend The Snug to a friend.

Had a lovely evening, sharing platter good with plenty of choice, very tasty. Cocktails expensive but the two for on until 9pm is a good deal. The waiter last night was so efficient, helpful and friendly even organising a desert for us after the kitchen had closed. In fact every time we've been all the staff have been friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for an evening out.

We went to the Snug for a Christmas get-together as a group of about 12 on a Wednesday night. Nice grown-up atmosphere inside, and cosy on a cold night. We had the Christmas menu which was £23 for two courses and a choice of cocktail. Sharing platters for starters were the stand-out dishes of the evening with a fabulous choice of items that I will go and copy for parties at home. Really excellent with my Mojito. We had a platter between two people, but it could easily have been shared by 4 women as a starter. We couldn't finish everything. Burger mains were okay. Ribs with freshly made onion rings were very good. Ribe eye steaks looked good. A few people had puddings which were home made and good, but not amazing. However thumbs up for making them in-house. Soft drink refills were free, which is a nice touch for drivers, however red wine was £7 for a large glass, which stung a bit. I would go back again for the starters and ribs my other half. This was a good experience, and the Snug is and an asset to High Wycombe. Use it people!

Love the decor, foods good also and they have a great coctail menu.Whilst not too bad for cocktails, unless you go on by one get on free night, then a night on the cocktails is going to seriously hurt your wallet

I'm from Brighton originally and I've been stuck for a decent bar in wycombe. Most places are old man pub style (which is good for the right occasion) but when you want to go out the choices are limited.Until I was taken to the snug the other day. It reminds me of the Brighton lanes bars which are my kind of place, good cocktails and great spirit selection. Can't wait to go again.Worth paying for.

We went here for a quick lunch before my daughters graduation. Our server, Jordan, was brilliant. Attentive, knew the beers and the menu, relaxed and just nice. Our food was good, I do love a good fish finger sandwich, and I certainly got one here. The food is a bit pricey as are the drinks but worth it. Nice outside area as well.
