My favourite eating place in Manchester.

I visit this branch every so often and it’s always good. We went with friends on a busy Saturday evening where we met up in the separate bar which is great for a pre meal drink and they serve Neck Oil beer which was a bonus. I told the Maitre D where we were and he was quite happy for us to finish our drink and come over to get our table when ready. All nice and relaxed being a great start to our evening. Once at our table the waitress Emma was great (and patient ) whilst getting our food and drinks order together, her knowledge of the food and how it’s all prepared was excellent. My starter was great, I had the prawn cocktail with good quality prawns not loads but just enough, most enjoyable. For main I shared the chateaubriand which I’ve had before and it was excellent. Miller and Carters aren’t cheap but they aren’t mega expensive either, good value for money. The service made the evening with Emma our waitress being very professional and I couldn’t help noticing the Maitre D mucking in to help out on what was a very busy night. Top marks M&C, we will return.

Fantastic place for dinner and cocktails. Food was delicious, the drinks were excellent and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout.

Hosted my birthday party in the private room upstairs and I can't tell you how accommodating the staff were. They really went out of their way to resolve an issue when we were missing part of our music set up. The space is fantastic, and open until 3 which is really rare for a pub - everyone was saying what a great venue it was. Highly recommend booking for a private party!

Went for breakfast and we had the pancakes. Absolutely delicious, huge portion and plenty of maple syrup and crispy bacon 😋 yum. Lovely waitress and bottomless coffee

Came here really late on Friday after watching Moulin Rouge at the theatre next door. Greeted and served by Michael the owner who was brilliant and a great host. The food was amazing. I had the Mac Daddy and Shorty Tots. I swear the pulled beef was so tender it just melted in my mouth. The Mac Daddy was amazing and with the perfect Mac and cheese too. The Mrs had chicken and waffles and corn ribs and loved everything. Can't wait for another trip down to London and another meal here.

2017 Very poor. An hour in and still no food. Staff waltz around but don't seem to actually do anything. 2019. the staff were better at attending you, the food was ok, nothing overly special, but overcharged on the receipt. corrected immediately but shouldn't have happened. whilst waiting, i was told to always check my bill as they often add drinks that you have not had by another customer. this may be a genuine error in the bar/waiting staff but seems off that i was warned as it happened to me. 2024. Cracking Sunday dinner

One of the dishes, loaded potatoes skins, was very bland but everything else really good. Service was exceptional from arrival to departure.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with superb views. Service was fantastic, nothing to much trouble The food is top quality and presented beautifully.

The food as always was good. However our server was Tom, on his second only shift! He made the experience and the dinner great and couldn't do enough to help. With 12 of us there a large party is always a challenge but he handled it very well especially with the smaller children being occasional trip hazards. Pity you can't ask for a specific server because if we could, we would.
