The Waiting Room in Cardiff

Perfect place for a pre-drink or dinner before a gig or a movie at The Tramshed. The huge garden is also a real sun trap in the summer months. Large range of drinks available and staff are super friendly!

Go here often, food is great, staff are always assertive and friendly. Bar has an excellent selection of drinks for adults and kids too. Also been on a few gigs here too and have always had a super night. There are also lots of good gigs coming up and will definitely be attend a few on the run up too Christmas. All in all an awesome venue, great food, great selection of beer, and really good staff 5 star all the way Mike B

Visited The Waiting Room on a Saturday afternoon in October. Lovely selection of dishes and a great vegetarian and vegan section. Small and friendly, can imagine it gets quite busy on an event night! We were served by a young man who was very friendly - I had the cranberry & brie melt and my partner had a burger. My dish was lovely - nice soft bread and the fries were delicious. My partner had nothing but praise for the burger, he said you could tell it was a good quality product and not a frozen one from the cash and carry! Good value for money too - we'll definitely be back!

Waited almost an hour for dry overcooked burger, undercooked chips and hard fish fingers. There was an event on so only burgers available.. how could it be so difficukt

We ate here in the evening before a concert at the adjacent Tramshed concert venue. There is outdoor seating, but if you are there on a rainy concert night it will be very crowded indoors. Staff is friendly but seemed overwhelmed by the crowd and perhaps lacking in training. The food was good. There is almost nowhere else to drink or dine in this dreary neighbourhood.
