When in the town centre, shopping always pop in for breakfast. Very efficient, food always good. Prices reasonable as well. Keep up the good service.

I feel this place has gone down hill so much and the quality of breakfast has so gone down hill so from going very regularly I will never go again. The mushrooms were swimming in Grease and sausage frozen sausage. Staff are friendly but the food isn’t nice anymore

My friend and I were visiting Corby (Northamptonshire) and we decided to go for a coffee and a snack. The place we usually go to was closed, so we tried the Café Royale Bistro. We were served promptly and our snacks & coffees were good. I noticed what other people were ordering and eating (for future reference!) and the meals looked very appetising. We'll definitely go back again.

The name contours up a high class impression however this simply gave me the impression of a better than average transport cafe. I dropped in for breakfast and enjoyed what I had. Staff were efficient, food was good but the big negative for me was a visit to the single unisex/disabled/baby change toilet. Having to wait in line in a narrow corridor, not ideal but it is as it is. Hand washing from a tap that delivered a dribble of cold water (maybe it would have heated if I had persevered waiting). No soap in the fixed dispenser although they had a shop supplied dispenser - not sure if it was antiseptic though. Hand drier not working but a search revealed some blue paper rolls lying on top of a shelf, so used one of these. A real disappointment. All in all, a fair little cafe which serves up basic food so I would use it again when in the area.

Old time want try this restaurant, nice and clean place, the stuff friendly, the waitress lady cute nice and smiling. Fast prepare the dish. I try the hunters chicken : chicken breast covered bacon, cheese and souce with French fries or chips. Very delicious. If you visit is a best choice and the price is good.

Visited on the spur of the moment as we were shopping in town. Menu has a vast choice but we just ordered toasties, tea and coffee. Toasties were done to perfection with wonderful mozzarella cheese oozing from the toast. Reasonably priced too. I would certainly visit again when in the town.

Came to Corby for a look around and stumbled on this place. Clean, welcoming and very friendly. We had double egg sandwiches, which came as an egg on each slice of bread, to let us decide whether to eat with hands or supplied knife and fork. Also had large tea and large cappuccino, which were lovely. All in all, came to less than £12, which was good value. Must just mention Deanna, our server, who was a breath of fresh air! Witty, funny and cheerful. Made my day. You'll know her if you get her, she likes to joke and is very talkative. Such an asset to the place.well done guys. X Pic is of my partner, Brian, enjoying his cappuccino.

So much potential, but sadly no where near reaching it. We visited with friends after a show at the Cube. The service is appallingly slow, lacking knowledge on the menu or availability. On two occasions the waitress had to come back to tell one of the party the food she’d chosen was not available, the first one wasn’t even stocked anymore but was still on the menu but no one told the service staff. Ordered drinks and it took the best part of 30 minutes for them to arrive. Ordered a large bottle of Proseccoto be told they only had small, then they found a large bottle, went to order a second one but they couldn’t find another one, they did still have it on the bill (was removed once requested). There is a good selection of food on the menu, all pretty much beige but we were expecting that. The food is basic, and was a bit overdone. There’s an interactive darts game, the lads added it to our bill but within minutes it stopped working. Apparently there was an interactive golf room there too which is now just used as a storage cupboard, again so much potential. If the team had a senior member of staff who takes pride in their work to improve standards and learn the hospitality trade from this place could do well. Hospitality is not easy but when done well, it can still thrive, especially in a prime location. Based on the service we had I’m not surprised there were very few people there at what should be the busiest time. I am usually a fairly generous tipper but we didn’t leave one at all, and that says a lot! We won’t be back which is a shame as we wanted to support an independent restaurant instead of Nando’s next door.
