Uncle Sams American Diner in Redcar and Cleveland

I live in Redcar but first time in this little cafe. A simple menu, but all well made. Very clean environment. Very, very friendly staff. Good prices for decent food. Plus if you play the 2p machines you can use the tickets to pay for the good here. No complaints at all.

Just spent an hour in the amusements on the 2p machines. We were told that we could use the tickets we got for a regular breakfast. Wow... What a beautiful breakfast it was. Fresh ingredients beautiful coffee and served by Beth who was so nice and friendly. Would highly recommend!

Had a quick family lunch. I had pie, chips & peas 6.45 pounds. Awful. The pie was one of those absolute low budget frozen ones with 5% filling. Truely horrible. No wonder it was empty.

We stumbled on this little gem during the Redcar half marathon. Due to the cafes on the front being too full and having a pram, we were about to give up and go back into the town centre when we found Uncle Sam’s. What a pleasant surprise to find an American style dinner that served in my opinion a great value for money breakfast.. staff were very friendly. The only thing I would comment on is the decor looking a bit cheap and possibly the introduction of booth’s would go a long way. If you are looking for a great belly satisfying breakfast for less than a fiver then go to Sam’s.

Went in to try the super shakes, they looked amazing! Tried the donut delight, the donut, cream and sweets were very nice, the actual milkshake however wasn’t too great. It was just normal milkshake, I was expecting a thick milkshake made of ice cream.

This is a great place, exceptionally clean & the staff are very helpful & patient. The food was lush & cooked to order, which was really good. The downside is that they share toilet facilities with the amusement arcade. Finding these in a disgusting state, used nappy in the hand basin, wet floors where people had “missed”, very little or no toilet tissue. This would get no points from me. It’s a shame as the diner could be really great (it is as long as you do not need to visit the facilities). Note to self, do not drink too much whilst eating the delicious food so that you can wait until you get home.

Went for a snack and saw pulled pork nachos on the specials board. Would 100% recommend very nice. Staff are very friendly and prices are good, they also have a good variety of food will deffo return 😊😊

I visit this diner regularly with friends, overall it's always been a positive experience. The food is always cooked right and it is always lovely. I would recommend the sweet potato fries as they are just heaven. The service is good, with them always trying to make sure your food is great and they solve any problems you may have promptly. To improve I feel that they need a clear opening times schedule that the stick to, due to me going the other day to find it closed when it should have been open for another 2 hours!

I love this cafe they do excellent burgers beautiful even though I am not too keen on burgers, They are the best I have ever tasted apart for Morrisons 4 in a packet different,

An exceptionally clean dining area tables promptly cleaned after diners have left. Well maintained seating areas. Great friendly service. American themed diner offering great cooked value for money food.
