The best restaurants in Wales

The Sultan is a lovely place to eat with genuine great food. Some negativity on this site but from our experience, and we have been quite a few times, with family or individually, the food has been excellent and the dishes we have had are really flavoursome. Raj and Neha make you welcome and I would thoroughly recommend going there to experience their lovely cuisine. Let’s support them

Nice little tea and cake shop but as soon as I walked in there, there was that many wasps just landing on the food, food not having any lids on top of them to insure flys and wasps don’t land on them would go back because they are tasty but definitely recommend they put something’s over the sweet surgery cakes as it does attract wasps to them not nice knowing flys have landed on them and then it’s going in our mouths

We use this take away for a weekend curry regularly. They produce the best Chicken Jalfrezi I’ve had anywhere among 30+ countries. Very friendly people and excellent service. I cannot recommend them too highly.

Me and my ''WHOLE'' Family enjoyed a nice and relaxing Indian at Momtaj, First of is that somehow they had enough Space to fit all 24 of us in whilst not being squashed, My starter was sooo good that I had to order seconds!, The meal that I had was delicious it was the ''Railway lamb curry'', ''The whole meal was to a breathtaking experience.'' Really tasty Sunday lunch to be eaten here, mashed potato too which is rare around these parts. A roaring real fire in the bar to warm you. Comfortable too. Parking at rear of the pub. Would return again certainly.

So pleased we found this little bakers while on a visit to Monmouth. The Cornish pasties are excellent, plenty of filling and just the right amount of seasoning. Were able to sit outside, with our dog, and chat to the friendly locals at the next table. The staff were great to :) Would definitely visit again if in the area!

We stayed nearby and stopped in on our last night. The owner was charming and helpful in getting a football game on TV for us. New ownership has been working to improve the place since January and his plans seem like it will be well worth a visit the next time we pas/ through!

I always find myself coming back here with my partner. It's one of my favourite places to eat in Roath, and I always have the moussaka everytime without fail. (Highly recommend) Food is delicious, and staff are always welcoming. Never had any issues and will keep coming back.

Absolutely cracking food, would definitely be coming here a lot more, this place is truly a hidden gem! The two lovely ladies who were working today were amazing, lovely, kind and super friendly, Paige and Alison I think their names were. 10/10 would highly recommend!!

Had a lovely day at the museum and decided to end the day with a coffee at ‘The Hatch.’ Had many delicious lunches here in the past. The cafe was surprisingly empty. We ordered two coffees and sat out in the garden. Every table was dirty. I cleaned one myself with wet wipes before the coffee arrived. We waited for 15 minutes. How long does it take to make two coffees? We went inside to find out what was going on. The waitresses had completely forgotten about our order! They were obviously too busy chatting to their friends to take orders or clean tables. No wonder we were the only customers. We told them so and walk out in disgust.

SUPERB COFFEE! Fabulous Colombian owner who imports her own coffee! She is so friendly and kind and very pleased to chat if you want to. Decent, basic food always hot and tasty. We know it will be a pleasant experience when we go there.

We’ve visited nearby Llangorse for the last 5 years and always come for a meal at this pub. Very friendly welcoming landlord and good food reasonably priced. The real ale is excellent too! Highly recommended.

What a find, such a quaint but brilliant vibe. Do not walk by stop and enter. The food is amazing, we had fresh wild bass caught today and fresh mussels, the menu caters for all but if there is fish or seafood and we are in. Nauticos is not large but is big in character and service. We are already coming back in a few days and I suspect in time you will have to book to get in.

Not been for a while, ive only just come on here, but it was beautiful, the staff are friendly, the prices are good, the food is nice and they have amazing suveniers, then near it is a beautiful view, love it
