Blossom Cafe in Cardiff

A first time visit to Blossoms - Just had afternoon tea with my wife - was superb - fantastic food and very friendly staff - lovely surroundings and decor - would recommend Blossoms fully.

Blossom es un pequeño café independiente fabuloso en Wellfield Road, Roath. El personal es tan acogedor y amable y la comida encantadora. Hemos visitado muchas veces, para solo un café con un delicioso pastel, brunch, almuerzo con amigos y para un maravilloso té de la tarde de cumpleaños (incluyendo una selección sin gluten de sándwiches, bollos y pasteles para amigos celíacos). La cafetería sirve comida vegetariana, incluidos muchos platos turcos (comparte platos de Menemen y Shakshuka para el brunch) y también es un gran lugar para opciones sin gluten. Un café maravilloso. Siéntate en las sillas colgantes si eres valiente.

Realmente increíble lugar. Tres de nosotros visitamos para celebrar un cumpleaños con el té de la tarde. Fue increíble de principio a fin. Reservar era fácil - y muy amable. La comida era preciosa, así como la decoración. Está muy bien limpio y el personal era muy amable y servicial, no podían hacer lo suficiente para nosotros, con café y té reabastecido lotes. Había rellenos vegetarianos muy sabrosos en pequeños rollos recién horneados y un montón de pequeños pasteles y postres con un precioso bollo recién horneado. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente, un gran lugar para una ocasión especial o un café y algo de comida. El lugar estaba muy ocupado en una tarde de enero extremadamente frío que habla por sí mismo.

Visité hoy por primera vez y disfrutamos de una gran visita. Mi esposa tenía el aguacate triturado en tostadas y yo tenía el sándwich de halloumi y chile dulce con pan casero. Ambos estaban deliciosos. El personal era excelente y el restaurante estaba impecable. Muy impresionado.

Gran comida y un ambiente agradable. El propietario y el personal se enorgullecen de servir comida de alta calidad. Visitamos un par de veces al mes para el almuerzo, o pasteles. La visita de hoy fue el té de la tarde para el cumpleaños de mi madre. Buena comida y buen servicio. También se aprecia que Blossoms es compatible con perros. Un encantador café que supera con creces la comparación con los muchos otros puntos de venta de alimentos en Wellfield Road y alrededores.

Siempre me encuentro volviendo aquí con mi pareja. Es uno de mis sitios favoritos para comer en Roath, y siempre tengo la moussaka sin falta. (Muy recomendable) La comida es deliciosa, y el personal siempre es acogedor. Nunca tuve ningún problema y seguiré volviendo.

La comida aquí es muy sabrosa, especialmente la moussaka y el Shakshuka, que son mi comida para llevar cada vez que visito con mi pareja. El ambiente aquí es genial! Todo el mundo es amable, especialmente el propietario y el personal, siempre sirviendo con una sonrisa y siempre participa en una conversación. No volvería después de que mi experiencia encontrara lo que parecía moho en mi comida y el gerente no quería saberlo. Muy caro para la comida con moho. También informaré a los estándares de trading, ya que esto es muy desagradable. 🤮

Lovely eating experience, that I was really unexpected. The boss fancied a late brunch. She had heard good things about Blossom, a Turkish restaurant,from a couple of her friends. I must admit that I was a little apprehensive, but it was surprisingly good. We both had Shakshuka. I've eaten this many times in the middle east. The Cardiff one was better than most of them. Lovely Turkish coffee, with a complementary piece of homemade Turkish Delight concluded this lovely meal. The service was exemplary. I took home some of their home made baklava. It is delicious. I will certainly come again.

We visited Cardiff for my best friends surprise 50th! I’d done my research being afternoon/cream tea lovers and stumbled across this little gem! I contacted Selma via instagram and she was so lovely and always got back to me, even when I was asking her questions about how to get there, as it’s about a 20 minute walk from National History museum! (Thanks to google maps- walk function with lady telling you exactly where to go 🤣) we arrived and the place is gorgeous! A flower wall with swinging chairs, so lovely photo opportunities, plush comfy beautiful coloured big seats to sit on and bone china cups and plates. Selma greeted us so warmly and was so attentive and super lovely. I think it is a family run business as that was the vibe and I think mum was also helping who was equally lovely! I can honestly say genuinely this was without a doubt THE BEST AFTERNOON/CREAM TEA we have ever tasted! And we have eaten LOTS of cream teas around the country! From the sandwiches to cakes and scones we were in heaven! The food was sooooo good, the humus was the best I’d ever tasted, sandwiches original, scones crunchy of the outside and soft in the middle and the selection of cakes was colourful, enticing and absolutely DELICIOUS! Everything tasted homemade and we couldn’t stop smiling. Selma was super attentive, refilled our tea and just made us feel so special and relaxed. The walk was worth the trek! I urge anyone coming to Cardiff looking for a afternoon/cream tea to put this on your list, don’t be put off it’s a little far out from city centre it is 100% worth it! We couldn’t finish it so took a doggy bag away with us! If only this place was in Bournemouth as we’d be regulars as ALL the food and cakes that came out around us looked fabulous! Visited for afternoon tea with family. Great food, fantatsic and friendly service. Nothing was too much. Lovely environment.

We had the Turkish brunch for two and it was very tasty! Only thing neither of us liked was the cold potato dish but everything else was excellent! Caters for gluten free- my wife had gluten free roast instead of the Turkish pastries and bread. Not sure the pastries could have been made gluten free so she was happy enough with toast. The cafe was lively and decor is quirky and fun. Would visit again for sure :)

Sadly I will probably not return after being charged £3.50 for one piece of shop standard toast. It's such a shame as the tea was very good quality and the staff are polite...I just don't like being ripped off. The pantry just a ten minute walk away gives 2 doorstep slices of artisan toast and jam for £2.50!!

Nice and cheerful setting compared to some of the other cafes in the vicinity. The service was excellent and there was plenty of choice of cakes and food.

Visited this cafe with my mum and toddler for lunch and coffee/tea and it was all so fresh and tasty! It is spotless in there and the decor is really pretty and the atmosphere is relaxing with gentle background music but most of all the staff were so helpful, friendly and lovely. Will definitely be returning!

A comfortable place to sit with the newspaper. Great service, the lady who runs it is always smiling, and they serve the tastiest soup in town!

Quaint little cafe punching weigh above its weight in the array of vegetarian options it provides. We regularly visit and have found all dishes prepared with quality ingredients, freshly made to order vegetarian breakfasts and lunches, warm homemade breads, always presented with care and attention to detail. Look out to be surprised with finishing little touches. Family run, warm hospitality. Even our 6 year old loves it here. Couldn’t praise this little restaurant higher. Unique blend of Turkish Mediterranean fusion food. You would be hard pressed to find anything else like it.

Fantastic afternoon tea, we had two vegan and two non vegan cream teas and they were superb. The staff were really friendly and attentive.

The name "Blossom" says it all. Beautifully decorated cafe, the best in Roath. I sat outside in the back courtyard on a sunny afternoon, what a treat eating carrot cake & milkshake with a beautiful wall mural backdrop. The place is spotlessly clean as well....
