Flame Grillhouse in Cardiff

Bought some kebabs, when I got home I found a string of hair inside the kebabs, also some lamb chops were not cooked properly. I also found out this business was shut down by local authorities before for food safety violations and the owner got convicted for it. I do not recommend this place. One word; AVOID.

Me and my friends ordered some kebabs; two lamb Shishs and one doner kebab for take away. Once we got home we noticed some of the lambs shishs were not cooked properly and tasted a bit like left over meat. We also noticed one long single string of hair in the Doner kebab. We threw most of it in the bin, we felt very let down. We had to order Indian food instead for the night.

Avoid like the plague. Thank me later. Awful hygiene, This place was shut down for food safety concerns by local authorities in the past. You can check it on Google. You will be surprised ! Also in busy times, they bring out frozen kebabs from the freezer and add some marinade to make them look fresh, then place them on the grill and then serve them to the unaware customers. I personally saw the owner dropped the kebab on the floor while taking it off the skewer, he then picked it up from the floor, rubbed it off his apron and placed it on the plate and then served it to the unaware customer. They did this in my view, imagine what they do out of the view!! Run to the forest, Run! Thank me later

Use to be good now not GREAT when the owner is there u can get a nice meal other wise AVOID his staff are rude!

Complained about cold food staff began getting rude and denying my claims instead touching my food with their bare hands saying it’s not cold. Felt violated surprised they got 4.5 stars :/

100% best grill in Cardiff, I went for the chicken shish large in a naan bread cooked fresh to order. Where do I start lol chicken 10/10 the marination was incredible and cooked to perfection so succulent and flavoursome. The naan 10/10 banging flavour from the tandoori oven and light and puffy, I got chatting to the chefs and was talking about the chicken shawarma said it looked lovely and they were kind enough to put some in my wrap to taste again did not disappoint, sauces went for chilli and garlic mint banging especially when soaked into the fresh naan😍😍 the pickled pepper insane so juicy🤤🤤 I also got wings but I was so full from the wrap I’ve put them in the fridge for lunch tomorrow also looks amazing can’t wait to eat them will definitely be taking friends back there it is the new and improved sen bbq😂

Really friendly owner and staff, excellent kebabs

Ordere a 1/2lb Double Cheese Burger was tasty and flame grilled. Reasonably priced with chips and a can of coke. Friendly staff and seating inside. Toilets were clean. Overall a good place for a burger.

Very tidy and clean for a kebab house

Today I have experienced the most disrespectful encounter in this shop with my mum who has been a regular customer here for 11 years. I desperately wanted to go to the toilet to wash my hands before eating after having helped a man that had fallen down on the street earlier. When I came back we wanted to politely order some food but this woman was came across as very impatient and was hurrying us to order something. I felt very uninvited and uncomfortable by her attitude towards us. Initially, we tried to be patient but after a while we didn't like the bad customer service and bad attitude and we decided to leave. This woman suddenly became angry and started shouting at us that we have to pay a pound for the toilet. I told her that she should have told us that before I went to wash my hands and that we were willing to buy food but that we didn't like how her customer service was. She suddenly shouted that we had to get out of her shop and she walked towards us in a very threatening way as if she was going to do something to us. This was a very frightening experience. She then threatened to call the police and she said that she was the shop owner and that we had to get out. Then she claimed that her attitude in the beginning was like her making a joke with us and she asked a fellow customer to confirm it. Let me tell you that I do not find this kind of treatment a joke but rather disgusting. This was absolutely outrageous and infuriating and I advice everyone to never come to this extremely rude store.

Every time I'm down Clare Road passing by this place I want to order something... even when I'm not hungry! That's the sign of great food. As others have said before, these guys know how to cook proper grilled meat!

Stunning food, fairly priced, lovely staff, what's not to like? 10/10, I will be back. I have picked up a menu in store so that I can ring and collect next time too so if you live nearby, consider this as it saves a lot of time 🙂

The food is a must here, lamb with rice is just perfect everytime, my kids always go for burgers and donner meat and they are always happy, everytime it's always fresh including salad, sometimes I give up with other places because of prices and portion size!!! But trust me you won't be disappointed, definitely recommend so please don't hesitate wish I found this gem sooner!! Oh the plus side it's not too expensive...parking sometimes a mission but I always go late so theres plenty of space opposite.

Omg the platter for 2 is freshly cooked and enough for 4 people. You can also eat in here although there is no alcohol licence so you can purchase it from Tesco opposite with no bottle charge by Flames. The best kebab house on clare rd by far

Love the place. Amazing kebabs, my No1 is mixed Donner Large with plenty of chili and garlic sauce. Yummy! And staff members are very friendly as well

Have to say that we love going here after a night out. The guys are always fab and the food is amazing! The platter is enough to feed us all and (4 friends) take some home for the morning hangover !!

This place does not advertise it but it caters for Vegans. Has a good range of dishes that are delicious!!! The Falafel Kebab is incredible!!!! They make their own hummus! And its Divine! The staff are so cool and friendly. Love this place!!! Im addicted!

Really tasty food , authentic and great value for money.

Cardiff has many Middle Eastern restaurants and they are all of a good standard. But this one stands out for it's consistency and value. Always good food, freshly cooked right in front of you. Good prices for the quality. The naan bread is a highlight, as is the lamb kufta.
