Nice little tea and cake shop but as soon as I walked in there, there was that many wasps just landing on the food, food not having any lids on top of them to insure flys and wasps don’t land on them would go back because they are tasty but definitely recommend they put something’s over the sweet surgery cakes as it does attract wasps to them not nice knowing flys have landed on them and then it’s going in our mouths

Nice bread, great cakes! Proper old fashioned bakery like they used to be. The Raspberry Buns are a big favourite. Get there early - things sell out fast. Excellent value too.

Me and Hubby purchased a snack from here on a recent Wednesday. The bakery was founded by Mr. Henry Skillicorn in the late 1800's. The metal Hovis sign on the wall outside was installed in the early 1900's. Three of Henry's sons were killed in the 2nd World War. Their names are engraved on the War Memorial on the opposite side of the road. The Griffiths family took over the business in the early 1970's. I believe they still use Hovis flour and bake their products in a 100 year old oven. They sell breads, pies, cakes and fancies. We bought a couple of small custard tarts which cost £1.90 which tasted OK but we thought they were a tad over-priced.

On our travels again in my homeland. I will only eat Welsh cakes in Wales. Not had a Welsh cake for 8 months, so disappointed still no Welsh cake in my tummy. Bought a loaf of bread which was okay and two Eccles cakes which were tasty. Clean shop and friendly staff.

Excellent range of pastries and cakes, all freshly baked. Particularly recommend the bacon roll, nice soft bread, plenty of bacon and piping hot. Also the complete breakfast bap is good too. Lovely iced custard slices. Usually able to park right outside.

We loved this place, great substantial cob loaves, we always ended up with the assistants laughing at us because we struggled to decide what we wanted. Made sure we stopped here on our trip home to buy supplies for our journey, chicken tikka slice was great, thumbs up too for the sponges, really light and jam squares, super crumbly. Can't wait to find ourselves near by to stock up....

On a recent chilly Tuesday, Hubby and I decided to have a walk around this town. We parked up on a FREE car park by the riverside. On our way back, as we were walking along the A548, we noticed this small bakery and decided to treat ourselves (they served both hot and cold food). There was a queue of customers (which is always a good sign). The female staff member was very pleasant. We bought 2 small apple pies which cost £1.60. They tasted delicious and fresh with a generous apple filling.

My daughters and I, stayed in a house on Denbigh for a weeks holiday, very close to this Bakery. It's very popular with the Locals, upon visiting we understand why. It opened at 9.00 am I think we were one, of their first customers of the day.

Such a choice in pies and cakes. All of the pastry goods tasted home made. Do not leave without trying the donuts. They actually taste deep fried. Best bread in the area. Double check if you want meat free though as they are inclined to add lamb gravy to the vegetable pies to add a bit of flavour.

Difficult review to write. Food is always amazing, and well worth a visit at lunch time. I ordered a wedding cake(s) and phoned months in advance to do this. At first they quoted me £60, I phoned a month or so later and tried to pay over the phone, they wouldn't allow me to pay in advance and the price had gone up to £80. Phoned a week before the wedding the price had gone to £100 and still would not let me pay in advance, had to pay on the day. So the big day comes, They now want £130 pound. The best part was they don't provide boxes for the cakes! Had to run to the supermarket and beg for some spare cardboard boxes! they did not tell me this at any point (to bring our own boxes), and they were the WRONG CAKES to which i had ordered?! I told them on the phone we needed them for 10am, and they were not ready for this time! Complete nightmare and put major unnecessary stress on on big day. Cheers guys! Lovely food, just don't trust them with any order that is remotely important!

Only a small shop inside but a great range of breads, cakes and pastries. Their almond rings are to die for, but having said that I'd prefer you not to buy them all on a Saturday as that will mean that there will be none left for my partners weekly treat.Would recommend their pies and pasties (especially the minted lamb), these make a great snack at lunchtime. If you are in the area when the weather is cooler try one of their "home made" soups, it's well worth it.Staff are also very friendly, all in all I'd recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We always get our bread from Scilicorns and it is always excellent quality. We also get filled rolls and soup when the weather is a bit cooler. Everything is fresh on the day and is always of the highest quality. All of the staff are very helpful and you are always made welcome in the shop. It must be one of the busiest shops in Llanrws! Cosy cafe. Not many tables and can get quite busy. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice bit of music in the background. Breakfast was nice but would have been good to have the option of a poached egg. Only option was fried. Enjoyed my milkshake and my partner enjoyed his coffee. Fair value for money given the tourist area. No parking directly outside but carparks closeby and road parking a way up the road.

Tried to charge for a squeeze of Costco ketchup on my son’s chips after I spent £15 on drinks and chips. It’s easy to spend my hard earned money ANYWHERE else. Usually really like going out of my way to support local independent business that go the extra mile to attract more tourists to the area…. Won’t be coming back here unfortunately. Shame as the location is great. Perhaps this is a little petty, but I thought it just plain mean.

This is just the most wonderful place..! Afternoon tea today - their own-blend leaf tea was to die for. Best "cuppa" we've had in a long time. The fixed-price afternoon tea came with our choice of sandwich from the main menu, a choice of home-made cake, and an extremely generous portion of bara brith. scones & Welsh cakes. Do this at least once in your life. The quality is exceptional as is the customer-service - real nice people working here. Vert traditional tea-room setting - about 20 covers inside? Seating also available outside and their are quite extensive trails up & behind the property to walk off some of the carbs ;) If you're visiting the Conwy Valley this needs to be on your list.
