Gillian's Kitchen in Conwy

Tried to order over 6 times on the app got there and order not gone thru which was bad enough but I was spoken to like an idiot and I was charged extra as they put order in to eat in instead of take away 😡

Called for breakfast, all very nice and reasonably priced, not the place to relax, plates etc cleared straight away, its eat and go.

We eat here every few weeks and are always very impressed. We have had a range of meals, breakfasts, brunch, panni's, roasts, pie etc and the food is always perfectly cooked and the service friendly and professional. The prices are very reasonable and there is a loyalty scheme too. I can't recommend enough!

Excellent value had roast lamb plenty of veg / mint sauce. Prompt service attentive & the apple pie & custard delicious. Bus stop outside. Place is basic other than that no complaints. 😊

Gillian’s Kitchen is a wonderful little restaurant for breakfast and lunch, or even just a midday snack. The people are such hard workers and make delicious, high quality food. Their waffles are good and milkshakes delicious. I would highly recommend anyone to stop by and try the food for themselves. Will definitely be returning!

This place has become a favourite of ours. Whether it be a full breakfast hangover cure, a family roast or a quick sandwich on the go this place has it all!! The food is homemade, hot & scrumptious. However, be warned if you want a table for Sunday lunch you'll need to pre book. Definitely worth taking the 5mins to find a parking spot.

Gillian's kitchen represents extraordinary value for money. There is a wide variety of food options available on the menu and the food itself is prepared to a high standard using quality ingredients. I would recommend Gillian's kitchen without hesitation. The staff are friendly, courteous and deliver a quality service. Top marks.

A little gem! Travelled from Towyn, where we are holidaying to find somewhere nice for my vegan family to eat. The choices for vegetarians and vegans are extensive, and the portion sizes are actually boardering on too big! Exceptional value for money. 2 roast dinners for the kids, 1 roast for my wife, a burger and chips for me, an ice cream, milkshake and 2 cokes - £31! The entire family loved it and will be returning with more family next time. It's great to find a place that caters to all. I can't rate it highly enough!

Very convenient for excellent Sunday lunch. Not much else open. Roast lamb and lots of different vegetables followed by Cherry Pie and loads of custard.

Superb Birthday Brekkie with my little family! BEST value for money, quality, ingredients, & taste in the whole area for an actual cooked breakfast! (Conwy, Junction, Landudno, Colwyn Bay & Rhos on Sea) Love the place - if you can get a seat, you won't be disappointed!

This place is amazing I ordered chicken and chips it only took 10 minutes the were crispy and hot so was the chicken the staff are lovely and the price was amazing.

Quite simply the BEST Sunday Roast on the PLANET ! I used to work in the village and used the cafe regularly, great portions, friendly staff and GREAT value. But if that's not enough to convince you all I can say is that I no longer work in the village but will gladly make a 20 mile round trip for their Sunday Roast. Absolutely delicious, put their Roast Dinner on your bucket list, it's out of this world !

Why have I never noticed this place before. I had a roast dinner and it was amazing I never ate anything until the next day after eating it. Next time I'm gonna try the breakfast 😊

Called i n Wednesday 21 st September,,,Both of us had a roast, dinner,,good portions,very hot,good home cooked food at a very reasonable price. The young man who served us coulDn't have done more and was so nice. This wasn't our first visit and again very impressed

Had a lamb roast dinner & sticky toffee pudding delivered today, was spot on time. Ordered at 10pm last night. Food was superb, plenty of meat & veg, and the pud was delicious. Cracking value, Would highly recommend

Food turned up two hours after ordering, tried ringing the cafe an hour after ordering and they had their number on divert until it arrived. On arrival the delivery driver was rude and didn’t offer any sort of refund or apologies. Definitely don’t recommend.

It's a bit overrated. The term 'home-cooked' is a broad one and can include the use of frozen vegetables and instant gravy. Great table service and prices but be aware that this is no more than good cafe grade food.

What a great place, clean newly decorated in a modern style. We had two roast beef dinners and a full breakfast with coffees and three milkshakes on the Eat Out to Help out it was £13.35!!!The food was hot, tasty and plentiful we will recommend and be back soon.

Been here a few times now since lockdown and they have definitely been busy during the lockdown period, the place has a modern new look. The food is amazing value for money and is delicious. The roast dinners are very tasty and I can not believe they only charge £5.50. The staff are welcoming and friendly, if you are in the Old Colwyn area you must go and check it out, you will not be disappointed.

Had the daily special of Roast pork with 3 vegs, stuffing and roast potatoes, for £4.00 you cant beat it. Just good honest homely food.

Came here with my mate on a Sunday looking for a hangover cure. Obviously went for a brekkie. Wow. I think we left rougher than when we arrived. The sausages were the white skinless type you put in a casserole and the rest of the plate was as if it had all been poached rather that fried. Super wet and sloppy. Just felt sorry for the two people ordering sausage butties as we were leaving...

Visited the cafe for Sunday Lunch, received a warm welcome and the dining area was clean and tidy. Plenty of choice on the menu, settled for the Sunday lunch which were very generous and could tell they were freshly prepared. Would definitely visit again if in the area, especially for the tasty chicken!

I have visited the cafe twice....on the occasions that my local cafe across the road has been closed.On the first occasion I was disappointed...I can honestly say the worst breakfast I have tasted.....beans and tomatoes flooding into each other..The fried eggs are prepared in oil/fat which leaves an awful taste in your mouth throughout the day.I gave them the benefit of the doubt and recently had another breakfast....no improvement....a shame.

Good nosh, friendly owners, affordable, clean cafe with a nice atmosphere. Fried eggs are cooked perfectly here and the full English is lighter, but just as tasty. Thanks Alan and Rob for the delicious breakfast to send us on our journey!

A good choice in the menu, and the food was good when it came. Everyone seemd very satisfied with their food, and both staff and customers seemed very friendly and welcoming!

You can't go wrong eating at Gillian's kitchen, Sunday lunch is very filling and plent of it warm cozy atmosphere and not rushed, ie top gof you are looking for good old comfort food this is the place to go, you would get a wheelchair in parking in near by street or round the corner.

Pero es genial y los dueños siempre hablador con la comida a un precio que no puedes equivocarte y encima es cosas sabrosas. Sí, no es un luminoso y brillante algunas de las mesas. Pero esta es una pequeña joya si su exigente y quieres comer en algún lugar caro no vayas aquí. Si tienes un presupuesto y quieres un lugar amable de la tierra, entonces este es para ti.

Being realistic 3 stars is what this cafe deserves nothing major wrong with it just basic food at decent prices service ok although waited about 20 mins for a bap which in my opinion is crazy. But overall I will and do return occasionally.
