We booked this restaurant just before we set off on holiday, and were glad we did. After a long journey we arrived and were greeted by the friendly owner. The food was delicious, I started with the bisque which was outstanding, thank you. Main course was a selection of three different fish, also delicious and compliments to the chef. It's probably the end of the season now, but this place is well worth visiting if you enjoy seafood and friendly atmosphere.
Popped in here for lunch on a Wednesday, which is one of the Market days in Mold. We were promptly and warmly welcomed and shown to a table.
We both opted for a sandwich on bloomer bread with salad - everything was fresh, tasty and clearly good quality ingredients. Portion size was very good.
The waiting staff were attentive, but not overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and refreshingly unpretentious. The environment was clean, as was the toilet.
Highly recommended, and we will definitely return!
Great food, generous fillings in the sandwiches we had. Reasonable prices. Helpful friendly staff. Well worth a visit, it's quiet and remote, lovely drive here. Welsh speaking staff, as well as English speaking. Large car park nearby as well as the cafe's own car park

Breakfast is probably the best in cwmbran reasonable prices and staff are nice and friendly and if you want something that's not on the menu they r more than happy to cook it 4 u, I would go as far to say that it's the best cafe in wales
Lovely experience, great service and dog friendly indoors and out.
We had the pan fried mackerel special which came with a lovely salad, and a cheese, leek and caramelised onion tart with some sour dough bread. Everything was really tasty and fresh. As an aside, I had one of the best cappuccinos ever, that I can't stop thinking about (no idea why it was so good!)
I really recommend a visit to Tides!
One note from when we visited, although they were open until 3pm at lunchtime, understandably the kitchen closed about 30 mins earlier to accommodate for that.
I've been coming to this café for years. I usually sit outside with my old dogs. It's a perfect quiet location with a view of St Giles. The staff are the loveliest. It's like visiting your favourite auntie. If I was more generous I'd recommend the orange cake which is the zestiest freshest cake in Wrecsam. But I won't in case there's none next time I go. 😁
