Food used to be excellent, but ordered food a few weeks ago and chips were very overcooked and tasted burnt, or the oil needed changing, was really hoping it was a one off but ordered food today and the chips were worse than before, pretty much inedible I’m sorry to say, as this was the best chip shop around. Will not order/buy food from here again.

Brilliant chip shop, I've come here on and off for years and not once have they disappointed. I'd recommend their fish and chips, but be warned they do not skimp on the portions; the fish alone is a mighty beast! The fish is crispy and cooked to order, and I have always appreciated how you can cut it up with a knife and not have it crumble apart. The chips are nicely cooked, with a crispy outside and soft inside. Not once in all the times that I have been here have standards strayed, what you get is of good quality and priced fairly.

Very nice takeaway chip shop. Lots of food choices. The chips are gluten free, perfect as my wife is a Coeliac. Very tasty food, highly recommended. Thank you.

Ordered the Sims burger with bbq sauce but got burger relish so couldn’t eat it!

People, please. If you are NOT eating your burgers (chicken or cheese burgers) from Sims fish and chips "YOU ARE RIPPING YOURSELF OFF! LITERALLY!!! IN 50 YEARS ON THE PLANET I HAVE "NOTHING" TO EVEN COMPARE THEM TO........THEY'RE "INCREADABLE"! If you eat burgers, please, please try. Amazing food with amazing service from amazing people. everything was delicious as usual. I ordered gluten free nuggets as I've done many times and 2 of them had a different batter to the rest and didn't look the way they normally do so I threw them out just in case! . sorry:( everything else was perfect as usual though!

Wasn’t the delivery drivers fault or the workers as you could hear they were under stress. App is taking on too many orders for staff to carry them out. Food was late and wasn’t enough staff to get orders out efficiently. Had to ring store and they couldn’t find my order at first, could hear how busy store was over the phone. Felt sorry for staff and was stressed getting food on time due to work. But staff worked hard to get it out when I rang them.

I've never had a bad lot of food from here until tonight the steak and kidney pie was way to salty so couldn't eat it

well ive not received my order yet and its 15 mins late now so not so happy with it at moment

Only place locally that would do me a gluten free serving of fish and chips and curry sauce. Really nicely done. Everything cooked well and ended up having half of my meal stolen by the family when I got home and they all enjoyed it . Will be back again soon

Fish and chips stone cold. Burger I couldn’t eat. Bottom bun was completely wet and inedible. Could see white liquid at the bottom of the food container. Looked like milk. Not sure what was in the burger but didn’t look like onion, cheese and lettuce there was something else in it. Some sort of liquid. Disgusting. Have photos 👍

Chips were dry, batter wasn’t fresh. Some of the fish was a bit funky
