The best restaurants in Wales

This place is really special. The host is welcoming and really knows his stuff about rum. The vibe is great. A lot of locals seem to enjoy the place which is always a good sign. Unfortunately we could only stay for one drink but whenever we visit Aberystwyth we will pop in for a drink or two in the future.

Decided to come on a Thursday night when they have a special offer on of a Burger and a drink for £10. We were surprised when it came with chips too, which were hand cut and reminded me of home cooked chips from my childhood! The burger was amazing, juicy and full of flavour. Shawn (chef) made us feel welcome and made an effort to come and talk to us and make sure everything was okay. We would recommend a visit!

Me and my friend visit the Healthy Hangout regularly for lunch, the staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and clean, and the food is always great. Very generous portions and you can tell it’s all been made in house. I really like having somewhere near the office that sells healthy balanced meals! I’ve attached some photos of previous lunches as I love the variety of the weekly menu :)

So pleased that The Greyhound is what you want from a pub. Friendly, good selection of ales etc. but more importantly you feel welcomed. Going to book Sunday lunch too.

Yummiest cake evaaaaaaa and lavender milk what is this taste of heaven?!!! Staff are lovely, attentive, warm and friendly. Lush vibe, very chilled. Great outdoor area too. Decent menu, very tasty, healthy bowls of colourful goodness. Breads fresh and gorgeous too. Great portions. Thank you ladies 🥰

Hello - We live 32 miles away and this was our first visit to Millefoglie. We called in after reading previous reviews online. We were very pleased with our flat whites and the 2 cakes we shared. Both were delicious: the praline was unusual with a pleasantly strong flavour. The passion fruit cheesecake was the best we have ever tasted, absolutely amazing. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area. Just one thing to add - although the food and drinks were delicious and really could not be bettered, the ambience was rather cool and severe. The seating area would benefit from a makeover to make it a nicer place to spend time in.

Such a cute little cafe, beautiful paintings on the walls and the light decor is so lovely. The breakfast was amazing! So fresh and delicious, coffee was also very nice, staff were very friendly, will definitely be back

I'm Coeliac and don't eat out often, and the area I currently live in is pretty much non existent for takeaway options. I decided to take a gamble and order the pizza with my non gluten free partner. First and foremost, I have never been ill from cross contamination from this restaurant, amd we have ordered from here several times since. Given the type of restaurant and the sheer volume of allergens present, this is a testimony to the level of care the chefs show to allergies here. Whilst I've never eaten in the restaurant, I can imagine the food is even nicer freshly delivered in person vs sitting on my counter for an hour. The staff is always friendly when we've called, the delivery is ridiculously quick, and the price is more than reasonable given the portion sizing. It's the first time in a decade of eating gluten free I've compared the size of my gluten free pizza to someone's regular one and not felt overcharged. The crust tastes nice, it's thin, crispy, and you can even fold it which makes the pizza taste better. (this is my hill, thank you). Anyway, to any Coeliac or gluten intolerant person in the area, give this place a try. Their number is programmed in my phone.

This is a diamond of an eating place. It's located just off the main through road and has excellent parking opposite. I had a salad from at least 21 freshly displayed items and it was one of the best I've ever had; and I'm a foodie! The owner is putting her heart and soul into this place and local businesses are collecting her magnificent baguettes to keep their staff happy. If you are anywhere near Llandeilo then go to Mrs Brown's. You will not be disappointed.

No cakes in sight. Staff un helpful and rude. We should have realised by lack of customers it wasnt great. Coffees served with no spoons or offer of sugar. Coke was brought to the table without a glass. Toilets were upstairs not safe and not clean. Trip advisor had recommended this place. Wont return there.

We came across this gorgeous place whilst visiting Turtle. We only had tea and cake but it was lovely. There was a little wait but so what, we’re on holiday so a good time to chill. Would definitely recommend

So glad I found this shop, I've been a repeat customer for several years now (both online and I've been known to travel almost an hour just to have a look/sniff to decide on new teas..) Sian has endless knowledge and a fascinating, understated passion for tea (ask her about her experiences in tea farming!) The prices are just right, the products are wonderful (I have had some seriously special and rare tea from here, eg. Gyokuro, and some white teas that even friends in Japan/Taiwan were impressed at me being able to source). I really can't praise this shop enough, online orders arrive very fast and well packed, and the drinks to take away are just divine. The only thing I'm missing out on is joining one of the tea tasting evenings, but I live in hope! To summarise; much, much more than "just" a coffee or tea shop- it's a curated experience of lots of unusual teas plus every other tea you could possibly enjoy (and coffees, but I haven't forayed into those) Oh and one last note- I am sceptical of herbal or fruity teas.. They are always disappointingly dusty, smell good but no flavour-BUT here, their house blends (such as "sleepy time") are so decent too. Proper fresh high quality ingredients blended with a real eye for results and flavour. Just, all round, the best shop!
