The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

An excellent value fish and chip shop. We had large cod and chips which we split as it was enormous and more than enough for two. Fish cooked to order. Nice light batter. Chips were excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

I have come here as I NEED to tell others how good their cakes are. They’re by far and large, the best cakes and brownies I’ve had in Cwmbran. I’ve lived in Cwmbran all my life and this has easily been the best cakes and puddings I’ve had from a coffee shop. There’s a nice simple elegance to their cakes without being gluttonous and piling on too much. I implore people come here and try their homely abode!!!

Once again A super Sunday Dinner! Cannot fault this place. Even let me have a snooze after! Service was fantastic. Can't wait to return

What a hidden gem - if you like fish it is a must visit spot! Staff lovely and friendly, could not do enough. Food five star taste, quality and portion size generous. Good value, lovely views. Clean and tidy and right next to the car park! Tables inside and out. Would highly recommend.

Why did you close down in cwmrhydyceriw Morriston Swansea because me and my mum loved the food now we have to wait until 5pm which is to late

i am surprised that this place is mentioned, since the place has disappeared long ago, or is it hiding? it was a nice series, friendly service, nice food, nice choice, nice fish finger rolls, yes seriously, nice beans on toast, nice well everything. The server, Victoria, or ''Sticky Vickie'' for some reason by some of the locals, was lovely, pity the place closed

Super restaurant style takeaway fish & chips. Perfectly cooked loin of cod was coated in a very light batter and tasted delicious. The triple cooked chips were a treat particularly dipped in the homemade tartare sauce.

Fantastic value for money. Group order every week sometimes more. Service with a smile and a laugh and great tasting food. Well done Al and Debs

I've been dragging my friend on a burger tour of Cardiff for a few months now. We've gone to some of the most recommended spots in town. I can honestly say, without exaggeration or hyperbole, that this was not only the best burger I've ever eaten, but one of the best meals I've had in my life - and that includes my grandmother's cooking. I knew the reviews were good. I knew that the restaurant owners owned the butcher's and the farm too, so I was prepared to enjoy myself. I was genuinely unprepared for just how good the food tasted. I could use phrases like "melt-in-the-mouth", "bursting with flavour", or "perfectly balanced", but I wouldn't be doing it justice. You have to experience it for yourself. The only burger I've had that came close was a lamb burger served on the farm where the animal had been slaughtered that morning. The freshness and quality of the ingredients here, from the homemade buns to the inspired toppings to the tender, juicy meat itself, are immediately apparent. I was both completely satisfied and could not get enough. I'm going to be dragging my friends and family here every chance I get - this place must stay open, it is a genuine Cardiff institution and Welsh national treasure. Again, I'm not exaggerating. P.S. Great service, friendly staffs and delicious food. What more could you ask for! We went on a sat morning. Lovely cute vintage decor and great selection of food on the menu. It won’t be long before we come back ：）they also do pudding club and wedding orders.

went a few weeks ago and going again soon. absolutely delicious food, typical friendly Turkish welcome. Good choice of wine. Not overly expensive either. There is so much that I want to try
