The best restaurants in West Wales

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were warmly welcomed to the pub. It was very quiet when we arrived but soon filled up and was bustling. Excellent food and excellent service.

I surprisingly havent been here before, even though it’s in my home town but I stopped off recently and had a great experience. Staff were lovely. Will definitely visit again soon.

We know our crab sandwiches - and these are amongst the best. Amazing fresh crab and a seaweed butter. Also great coffee. Highly recommend ordering because there's a high risk of disappointment otherwise - and you really will have missed out. Shop has their gin to taste with some great local botanicals. Beach is stunning to take your sandwiches, and suck in the sea air.

Called here in the past and had poached eggs on toast, it was excellent and great value, called again this morning as in the area , tried their steak and eggs , OMG it was fantastic!! Please keep up the good work, can’t wait to visit again. Thanks so much for a refreshing change.

Very friendly welcome for myself and four-legged companion. Limited opening hours when we visited owing to owner being on holiday. No longer doing food but the beer was spot on. Will visit again during our stay at St. David's CCC site.

Had a wonderful roast dinner reasonable price and lovely atmosphere and friendly staff .highly recommend will be going there again .

I enjoyed the local Celtic steak ( surf n turf ) which was unusually tender and tasty . the wine was inexpensive and good ( although not much selection ) but the stand out element of toy dinner was the friendliness of the owner/chef ,...

Clean pub . Cheap beer. Sky sports. Toilets clean. Only criticism is the hand drier in the gents could be more powerful. Apart from that spot on 👍

Please note this is now run by Lolfa and is no longer called The Hangout. We stopped off for brunch on our way to Pembrokeshire and were delighted to find such a friendly cafe with excellent food, plenty of veggie options and great coffee. Highly recommended stop off!

It brought back memories of a home cooked meal on a Sunday as a child at my nans. Fresh veg and amazing beef, lovely jug of gravy followed by a stunning trifle and great value. The team work hard and recommend it highly .

Food was awful, rubber chicken and gristly pork served with dry noodles and reheated chips. Miserable woman served us, could hardly talk to us. I wouldn't want her as the face of my business, but to be fair the service mimicked the food. Won't be back.

Lovely local pub. Staff and the regulars re warm and friendly. Excellent service, good beer and good pub food at very reasonable prices.

We recently booked and visited this establishment for a Sunday roast / 93rd birthday party, (not me by the way!) as we were staying locally for the weekend. Well what can I say!!, as soon as I arrived, the outside looked like someone’s house in this tiny, yet beautiful village, however once over the threshold it became apparent how large and beautiful the inside of this pub was, even Doctor Who would’ve been impressed with this tardis! I and another family member were greeted by a warm and friendly faced landlady, and she was a lady! Asked where we were from and made us feel incredibly welcome, then she let herself down by undercharging us for our pints £4.50 each!! At home in Wiltshire I pay £6.50 for the very same pint. We were shown to our own large table (11 people), set on our own. This restaurant was impeccable. The food was perfect with some difficult family members dietary requirements, even the chef came to the table which turned out to be the landlord, what a nice guy he was too. This place was so good, I felt only obliged to buy the landlord and landlady a drink to say thank you for looking after us. After giving the 93-year-old the bumps to celebrate, we left happy and fulfilled. Thank you guys!

Friendly staff. However despite their being lots of information about allergies on posters and signs unfortunately the chef was not available that day to manage food for anyone with an allergy and so our friend had to leave and eat somewhere else . The food we had was okay. Better that they were honest rather than risk an allergic reaction.

Absolutely Fabulous meal. Everyone in the group enjoyed the meal. There was a good choice of meals on the menu, good portion size, very tasty food and would highly recommend. Great hosts, Darren and Amanda, thank you.
