This is truck stop type food, large portions poorly presented my poached eggs on avocado was presented on two thick slices of bread, not toast. Finished up with a soggy mess on the plate Eggs were underdone Just a mess from start to finish. They say they are dog friendly but this means you cannot enter the cafe and have to eat outside under cover, not great in November.

This Garden Centre was recommended to us by locals so as we were in the area we thought we’d give it a try. Small, well stocked and a fabulous choice of plants and ‘accessories’. Will definitely be back. The only reason I haven’t given it a 5 is because of the arrangements for paying. There was a notice saying that we needed to go and ask in the cafe to get someone to come and serve us, which we did. It took a while, but the person who came was very pleasant and helpful, so it was all good. We also made a stop for tea - we were going out to dinner, so didn’t indulge in the beautiful cakes. The tea was lovely and we’ll definitely be back to sample some more delights.

Went to the Garden Centre in part for a breakfast after reading so many good reviews about Nic’s Cafe and their food. Unfortunately, and I feel with over 50 years experience of having Cooked Breakfasts across the whole of the UK in hundreds of establishments, this one was not the best for several reasons: 1. Plate was cold, needs to be warmed up to allow breakfast to stay warmer for longer whilst eating it; 2. The Hash Browns on the gardener’s breakfast where cooked in some oil/fat that had an unusual taste and they where only just cooked through too so you couldn’t eat them; 3. Sausages, each to their own but they were very pink inside and not very appetising in looks; 4. Mushrooms went cold too quick. So try once and not again for this particular cafe for breakfast. Other meals could be okay. Staff where very attentive and pleasant.

It might be someway off the coastal path but previous reviews had tempted us to make the detour and we were not disappointed. The Welsh rarebit with bacon and poached eggs was excellent and generous portions too. Thank goodness we had another 3 hours of walking to work off the food. I can't rate this place highly enough. We had a traditional welsh breakfast and a veggie breakfast and I can honestly say it was the best breakfast I've ever tasted. The homemade glamorgan sausages were fab and every mouthful was delicious and perfectly cooked. We couldn't manage cake afterwards, but took some away - a generous slice of lemon curd cake (gluten free) which was just as good as the breakfasts. We'll definitely be back (considering making the 1 hour journey from home from time to time, just because it was that good and open all year round)

Been meaning to visit for a while (we know the lovely Simon who has bought the business), so on a sunny day when I needed some plants for pots in our garden we finally drove over to St Ishmael. The drive through the lanes from Haverfordwest is a reminder of how gorgeous the Pembrokeshire countryside is - it is not all about the coast. We walked around the actual garden centre first (I used to visit in the 80s when it was a very well regarded plant nursery) and chose a few plants. The stock is varied and fantastic quality. They all are suited to the Pembrokeshire soils/wind, and really healthy indoor plants, as well as a big range of all the other things you need for gardening. We then had a coffee and cake in the cafe. We sat in the outside seating, but there is also a cosy indoor area. Will definitely return for lunch soon, as the menu looked tasty. I can see why it is so popular. Book a table if you want Sunday lunch. A fantastic place to visit.

But we were really disappointed it looked beautiful and the cakes were nice apart from the homemade scones which were hard and over cooked. The sandwiches how ever were the worst we had ever had they were all plastered in mayonnaise even on the outside of the sandwiches and egg I can honestly say it was the first time I've ever seen prawn egg and mayonnaise in the same sandwich. When I complained I was told by one of the ladies who worked there we should of told them that we didn't like mayonnaise on everything when booking the table in advance.as group of ladies for our birthdays we have visited many places and had cream teas we have never had to state that at booking anywhere else. Had cups of tea, gluten free chocolate cake, date and walnut slice. All really nice and served under the cover outside ( the benefits of being outside while avoiding the rain). Very novel toilet, cross between a shed and a beach hut, with AstroTurf instead of flooring - well it made me smile!! Plants looked good quality, and we bought some bulbs to plant for Spring/Summer. Everyone friendly and helpful

Most enjoyable meal - nicely cooked and the sweets very nice indeed. In spite of the weather there were quite a few people enjoying the Sunday lunch (noticeable all plates empty going back). Will go back, hopefully in the sun.

My family were very disappointed with the Sunday Lunch, although it was nice the portion size of the veg beggars belief! One very small gratin dish between three! Unbelievable! We all thought it was one each even then the quantity would have been small. We certainly won't return for Sunday dinner but as a garden centre it really is lovely and worth a visit. We bought a lot of plants which were very reasonable.

Stopped for lunch here during my never ending quest for plants. Both indoor and outdoor seating available at the cafe, the outdoor being dog friendly. There's a fair sized menu with breakfast and lunch items, and cake, cream teas etc. I order a panini which came with coleslaw and a nice quality side salad. £5.50. The panini wasn't a panini but a toasted Baguette. I was having a lovely relaxing time until one of the other customers answered her mobile phone and continued to squawk at the top of her voice for the remainder of the meal. This obviously doesn't reflect at all on the cafe, just that if she happens to read this, put a sock it in Love,!!

Visited this wonderful establishment during Easter 2017. I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Simon, the centre's owner, went out of his way to find me the perfect wedding anniversary gift for my wife. Simon was able to use his extensive knowledge on plants to suggest a beautiful Japanese Peace Lily (my wife was not disappointed!). I will be returning very soon with the kids for brunch in their quaint cafe! Thanks for all your help, Simon!

Traditional, characterful pub owned and run by a decent man. Good local customers and selection of drinks. No food but if you want a welcome where you dont have to feel like a holidaymaker, this place is for you.

It was a rainy Sunday in Pembrokeshire. We were hungry, and a Google search pointed this place out. We almost knew what to expect and fancied a chinnese. Anyone with physical limitations do not try to access. No lights to the path and pitch dark. Once you're in it's cold and sparse. A few tables to accommodate sit downs but this place runs mostly on take aways. The cook was very busy. A young man taking orders, serving and dealing with customers coming in and out. Bit chaotic. We kept our coats on ate our dishes, which were nicer than expected. Worth a venture ... some fun a bit like faulty towers. We would go back.
