The most spectacular warm chicken sandwich. Bread roll was perfectly crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Chicken was great quality and marinaded to perfection. Salad was delicious the whole meal was fantastic. This place isn't run of the mill 'okay' food that everyone else serves. They really put effort into serving delicious thoughtful meals, and serve them up perfectly. The coffee is also exquisite, the decor (art, and cultural thought providing books for sale) is great, and the people that run it are lovely and laid back, and incredibly funny. Go and experience it all for yourself its a lovely place.

A quirky and characterful go-to cafe when visiting Pembroke. Nothing to touch it in the town centre, just head for Pembroke Dock and there is a little street with vintage stores and thrift shops and a down-at-heel shopping mall with so much potential, and shining like a beacon, the corner cafe Cwtch. This was our second visit and once again the cafe was quietly buzzing with chatty clientele and the cuckoo banter of the owner. A tv was gently playing vintage pop videos (Four Non Blondes, Pink Floyd, Norah Jones) while we were there - and it fitted the mood perfectly. Fabulous coffee, lovely cakes, and the charm of the slightly surreal raconteur of an owner. There are fabled musical evenings here (we're too far away to visit easily) local books on sale and interesting artworks dotted around. The place is small, but well laid out and very comfortable. Babies, dogs, lap-tops all mingling together. My son asked where the loo was... "it's downstairs, you'll find a bucket under the stairs..." was a typical comment from the owner. The best in town. Unforgettable. And really, really good!

Friendly & entertaining service. Owner has a good taste in music & wouldn’t let me ‘pollute’ my loose leaf tea with milk—fair enough. Excellent breakfast & ‘sandwiches’ for lunch while I did some work. In fact, the descriptor of sandwich doesn’t do it justice. Found it by chance because usual Pembroke café haunt was closed. Next time I’m in the area I’m looking forward to visiting here again. Highly recommended.

Excellent coffee and a lovely chat with the owner who told me all about the town - my journey was about working out if I'd like to live in that area. Only regret is that somehow I missed out on the chocolate/cherry cake I'd meant to have - and I bet that would have been superb too. I'm not sure what this place is ment to be it has an extremly limit menu and I mean limited . They offer different home made breads but on the all the times ive been to this cafe only one was option Not your usual cafe/ coffee shop. The male staff member is strange and would say rather clicky . And if he has a row with his wife whom works in the kitchen it can make it rather uncomfortable one would suggest this may this gentleman has some issues that needs to be addressed and he needs to realise he can not invole his customers in his personnel life problems he gives the impression that he does not want to serve his customers and will strop around the cafe making it quite clear he is not impressed that he has to serve you which makes your visit rather embassing however he will entertain you if you talk about his singing or band or what ever it is he try enforcing on you while your trying to enjoy your food and drink . especially ones whom attend his singing or band .He makes jokes to himself then rudely laughs in your face while you are either trying to order or pay for your purchase assuming you know what he is on about . This cafe/ coffee shop/Libary / art gallery / music venue / what ever it is needs to be rethought and they must separate their personnel life's with the running of this place and improve there menu as it could be a cute little place to enjoy a nice relaxed drink in . At the presents its like ticking time bomb if your customer

Lunch time visit. Menu on the board - limited to 6 items. Spent 5 minutes or so deciding and asked about some of them. Two of us chose New York Deli sandwich only to be told then that it was not available! Why not indicate that on the board? Our second choices were substantial, tasty and filling. The coffee was good as well. Loos were downstairs. Very dark - no lights. Assuming a light would come on with a sensor, I went down only to find total darkness. tried one door - closed. Another one with a step outside - tripped and very nearly came a cropper. Eventually found the light switch. Approached the owner who said I should have switched on the light at the top of the stairs! How the Hell did I know where the switch was? I did not even bother to tell her that the loo seat was broken and dangerous. A real hazard, waiting for a nasty accident. Rather spoiled my mood.

I love this place! It is a coffee shop / social gathering place / art gallery / music venue / hub of the community. If you want a sterile experience where you sit on your own, you can have that, but you are more likely to end up talking to local people and just having great banter. Invariably, there will be folk or jazz music playing and I defy most to identify the artists. It's eclectic and wonderfully fresh. The coffees available are extensive, as are the teas and soft drinks/alcohol. A major benefit is the in-shop prepared cakes, breads and various other delights. The dishes are rarely the same any two weeks so it's always worth a visit. The only drawback is the parking. If you can't find a space, park in ASDA and walk up the short hill.Thoroughly recommended. (Shhhhh. Don't tell everyone. Lol).

Only stumbled on this lovely little place due to the Way out West exhibition, and so glad we did! The halloumi open sandwich is probably the best sandwich I've had - and I don't often get excited about a sandwich! Lovely friendly laid back service and cosy arty interior. Amazing coffee too!

Mike and Kille a husband wife team (being Irish and Estonian) couple run this fantastic coffee shop and art gallery. Mike is passionate about Art and runs a gallery as well as a coffee shop with Kille. Do not go in if you want just a coffee and an English or Welsh traditional breakfast there are other good places in Pembroke Dock for this. The Cwtch has a coffee for all occasions and each coffee is divine and there is an excellent breakfast menu I recommend the eggs. The rest of menu is heavenly and personally prepared by Kille - I am working my way through the menu and everything is AAA+++. If you are in the locality you must try the Cwtch and you will not be disappointed

I would like to comment on the review by the muppet who ask for a full English breakfast. Firstly it's called cwytch coffee shop for a reason it sells coffee you can't mistake this either as the menu which takes up the whole wall does not have a full English listed,,,I use this coffee shop simply because the owners are normal people and take the time to engage me in conversation oh and of course the coffee,,I'm fussy with my coffee between holidays and my work which took me all over the continent,I'm like the coffee made here, ,,so to the muppet who asked for breakfast the shop sign says coffee shop, the cafe down the street says full English ,knock yourself out

I cannot rate this place highly enough, not only is the food homemade ( not to be mistaken with home oooked) its filling, healthy and very tasty. Not your usual greasy spoon! The free range poached eggs on soda or artisan bread are delicious as are the open sandwiches and homemade stew.Personally I'm not a big coffee drinker ( plenty of teas to choose from) if however I do fancy coffee, they will make a one shot version of all the coffees on the board for me. How's that for service!Having been in quite a few times now, I feel justified in writing this review. The owners are warm and welcoming, always with ready smiles and plenty of good humoured banter. I look forward to going in, even if I'm on my own I feel very comfortable to pop in for a coffee.Give it a go, you won't regret it.

On cold, January day, I checked Google for local cafes after shopping. This one had 3 good recommendations and with a name like cwtch coffee, I thought it could only be good - and it was! Perfect sanctuary out of the weather. Relaxed, comfortable - unexpected in the dock! Delighted to have found it.

An old building and a crooked, collapsing floor in the room. Steep stairs to the rooms, so if you have a heavy suitcase it's a problem. Unfortunately, two separate taps above the sink. I can't imagine washing my face in the sink. No shampoo. But the kitchen is wonderful.
