Visited 25th September 2023. The landlord was very friendly, and the pub was clean, tidy, and welcoming. We had a pint of Guinness and white wine, the Guinness was excellent. This pub is well worth a visit.

Breaking a walk to have a sneaky pint, called into this place as a half way point. Disturbed the bartender (possibly landlord) hoovering. He was happy for us to come in. Dog friendly. Excellent pint of Double Dragon and a coke, with change from a fiver, which is a first on this trip. No food so can't comment, and we were the only people there (it had just opened), but a pleasant welcome and good real pint

I'm a bit confused about all the positive reviews here (indeed we decided to eat here on the basis of the reviews). I don't enjoy writing negative reviews but this was not a food pub at all. We visited on a Sunday. There was no menu and we were told there was only a choice of either roast beef or roast chicken. Nothing else was being served. The meat was ok but the vegetables tasted either over cooked or as if from a frozen bag. The bartender was not particularly friendly or welcoming and he didn't seem happy that we were ordering food at all. Admittedly we had not booked but were asked to come back an hour later despite the pub being fairly empty both when we first arrived and when we came back. The pub itself is pretty run down and not a very nice environment. It wasn't terrible but definitely worse than simply unexceptional.

We had just done a circular walk from Cilgerran Castle, through the wildlife centre and through the Teifi Gorge so, on our return, when we saw that the Cardiff Arms was open, it was like spotting an oasis in the desert. What a lovely cozy tidy bar area, but the outside spaces were even better, loads of room and comfy chairs everywhere, so, room to social distance to your hearts content. I ordered the tuna melt on ciabatta and my partner ordered the dirty hot dog (?) they were both HUGE and delicious. I also had a white wine spritzer which I have to say was the best during a whole week in Pembrokeshire. Lovely pub, super outside areas, delicious food and drinks - what’s not to love? We would 100% return here again.

Wondeful lunch with friends - really welcoming and friendly staff - great food. Very high standards of social distancing and Covid hygiene. Able to eat outside, under cover with lots of space for chidren to play - in the present circumstances its hard to ask for more! Great place.

Excellent meal, beautifully cooked, good selection of veg and cauliflower/broccoli cheese all served on hot plates in a lovely warm dining room. The quantity of food was more than enough and the service excellent (no long wait between courses), the price was more than competitive with other local venues. The pub caters for children and is an ideal place for a family meal. Thoroughly recommended.
