Very friendly welcome for myself and four-legged companion. Limited opening hours when we visited owing to owner being on holiday. No longer doing food but the beer was spot on. Will visit again during our stay at St. David's CCC site.

We don’t often eat in the Artramont but have enjoyed it there when we have. However we love getting takeaways!! It’s perfect for the whole family, we can get fish and chips (a classic) but as kids, my siblings and i can get burgers or pizzas. The food is always delicious and the portions are very generous. Great.

Visited tonight for a quick pint on way back from Fishguard (we live in Solva). Were told when we arrived "sorry, were only serving regulars". There were three people in the bar, two together and one older chap on his own. There was probably room for about 10-15 more people in there, plus more in the side room, plus more in the outside seating area and there was only 45 minutes left before closing!!! Will never return to this bar - made to feel completely unwelcome. We were completely taken a back (shocked) and just said ok, in disbelief. We turned around and left to which he said "no offence". Places like this give tourism a bad name in Pembrokeshire.

We walked the mile there twice really friendly locals and young folk running it. We went on the second occasion to eat but credit to them - they had so many pre-orders that they were not taking any further bookings or takeaways - clearly really popular with the locals - better not to over promise and under deliver. The best bit of customer service though - the barman offered to phone the nearest next place and drive us there! we settled for another round and some crisps - would definitely go back and book ahead!

This is the second time we have visited this pub and again, visited because were not disappointed first time round. A local pub with a friendly atmosphere but the kitchen is closed on Monday and Tuesday. The menu is simple but the food is far from what you read on the menu. The Cod is LARGE and cooked really well, accompanied by a a lot of home cooked chips. My one observation would be that there are a lot of chips and, because we were 4, we had chips with each dish and there was a lot of overflow. Lancastrians don’t like an overflow of chips. We felt that 4 orders of fish, but only 2 of chips would have been ample for our requirements. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever. A reasonable price for a great meal. To be eaten on premises or as a takeaway. The latter which was our choice and subsequently we are having chip butties for lunch. Well worth the effort fir a visit with a friendly welcome and atmosphere and a good choice of beer and lagers on tap. I hear from rumours that the Arty Farty Burger, is far from Arty Farty. Good luck with that monster. 😉😉 Certainly recommended. Phone your order or have a pint whilst you wait. If choosing takeaway, phone in and pick up is my advice. I hope you you enjoy your meal as much as we did and we’re looking forward to returning next year.

Visited with family, as we had not been disappointed with the food in the past. My dad had cod and chips. The fish was amazing and quite a hefty piece while the chips look home made and tasted amazing. My mother had Chips with a house special (ordered in advance) haggis in batter. All I can say was wow. It was immense. I ordered Nacho Chips and was not disappointed.I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. A great choice of alcoholic drinks. Amazing to have a chippy in a pub. Family run, and the service is very good from two brothers and their Dad. They are very welcoming, accommodating and you will certainly leave with a smile on your face. Highly recommended.

I phoned the pub beforehand and was asked to pre-order so the food could be produced on time. It worked really well. We were given a warm welcome by the landlord and had a great time here. Not what you would call a destination pub, but just a great local that happens to do great fish and chips, which makes it worth the trip. Don't understand the reviews that say they aren't interested. From first contact on the phone when we ordered to turning up and having a couple of pints ahead of our order being ready, staff were friendly attentive and treated us well, inspite of an obvious crowd of regulars and friends of the barman/LL at the bar. If fancy pubs with no substance are your thing then steer clear, bit if good honest pubs with decent pub grub are your thing then come on down. We have only recently moved into the area, but I am sure this is going to become a regular haunt.

So we visit the Artamont regularly with our family and often order food to take away. They hand peel and fry their own chips which taste just like your Mum used to make! Their food is freshly cooked with care, always incredible value for money, we feed our large family of 8 for no more than £40 and there is always food to spare. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much for them. The menu is broad and offers a good selection of dishes, but their nacho chips are legendary! A 12” pizza box full to the brim for £4! Easily enough to feed 3 people! There is nothing not to like about this place, an easy 5 stars.

We had booked a ‘cottage’ just up the road from here . The pub had great reviews for its fish and chip takeaway so on arrival on a cold Friday night I went there to get fish and chips for the family .... ( fortunately ) there was a wait as it’s very popular and also the kitchen is doing meals for the pub. The wait allowed myself, eldest daughter and her boyfriend time to have a beer while we waited ... the Guinness in this pub is the best I have had outside Dublin ( hence the fortunately ) I live near a pub with awards and revered for its Guiness and they are well deserved , however the Artramont s Guiness was absolutely lovely !!!! ..... I could end the review here however . The landlord and his sons were really welcoming and friendly so much so by the end of our visit I felt like a local !! .... it’s great honest ‘proper pub that provides an extra service with the takeaway for the local community ...I will be back and the sooner the better ... great pub !

If you want an unfussy, does-what-it-says-on-the-tin, old-fashioned boozer with a roaring coal fire then you can't beat The Artramont. It serves the best pint of Guinness on the Welsh-side of the Irish Sea at a lower cost than the Irish-side. The takeaway fish and chips are also very tasty, very generous in portion size and are handmade - no frozen, pre-packed rubbish here. Also, because so many local sporting Gods have graced the pool table and darts board, some of their magic may rub off on you and improve your skills for the cost of 50p (pool) or free of charge (darts).

While stopping locally we decided to find a local pub to celebrate GCSE results. After reading review on here we agreed to try Artramont Arms. On entering, my partner was a little concerned that we had the right place. The building was a little run down and would benefit from a splash of paint. Although I wouldn't recommend this pub as a restaurant (doesn't serve regular pub menu) I would definitely recommend as a fish shop with a bar. We ordered two fish n chip with mushy peas and they were lush. Very large portions, that we both struggled to finish. The children ordered pizza and chicken burgers. Both meals were okay. The burger was served plain, no salad garnish, which if viewed as a 'pub meal' might not be what you'd expect, but as a burger from the local chippy (and as cheap) is totally fine. As the pub didn't serve a child's size pizza, we were given a take away box for the remaining food. Would definitely return for the fish and chips.

The outside of the building is enough to turn you away. The plaster is falling off and it's crying out for a coat of paint. In short, it looks grubby and you wonder how it can be selling food. Once inside, the place looks slightly better but could do with a really good spring clean. Not much by way of trade when we were there because it now has added a brisk fish and chip trade patronised by locals and passers-by. Could be such a goldmine for the right persons.Strangely enough, the food is very tasty with large portions. Much cheaper than many other local eateries. Close your eyes to the outside appearance and you'll probably get quite a good meal.

As we were staying locally we had a leaflet advertising this local pub/chippy. I decided to call them first to see if they were open. Unfortunately I was advised to call the next day as they did not cook on Mondays. The next day I received a call from the Artramont Arms apologising to me that they wouldn`t be cooking that night due to the bad weather. I thought that was a nice gesture to call me so we then ordered a meal for 3 to collect the next night. We were not disappointed. The chips were beautiful, tasted like home made chips. I would definitely recommend this chippy to anybody and would gladly return if staying in the area again.

You cannot really argue with the price, but the fish we got was very thin, poorly boned and cooked on skin (which I personally hate). The chips were copious but unremarkable and could have benefitted from longer in the oil (or double cooking). Only one (non-Welsh) ale available at the bar.

We were looking for a lunch spot having walked to Saundersfoot from Tenby and came across this gem. Super fresh seafood in a well appointed and well located restaurant. Service with a smile added positively to our experience. You’d be well advised to make reservations during busy times it would seem but we were able to walk in during lunch in the off-season. Highly recommended.
