Banana Leaf appears to be a newish Restaurant on this site. Previously Banana was here. That was very nice but they didn't open for lunch. Banana Leaf is definitely open for lunch as I went there today. It appeared quite busy which is always a good sign. I just went for the Masala Uthappam and a pint of Cobra. This a supurb Cafe. Their baguettes are always delicious and a very reasonable price !! All the staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive ! Plus the breafasts are great too.

We hired the function room upstairs for our annual meeting for my company employees etc. It is a fabulous room, ideal with great views. An excellent screen and it's easy to screen share from your device and also a great sound if you needed to play any training videos. We were warmly welcomed and everyone was very accommodating. The caterer was so lovely we felt looked after, with tea, coffee, and water served all day, bacon rolls in the morning, and a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch. It is such good value for money and would beat anywhere else around Cardiff on price. If you need to hire this room for a meeting, I can highly recommend.

The braised beef rice is a must-have, and it’s very healing when paired with the miso soup.

The chips were great and the curry sauce was the nicest I've had. Brilliant, friendly service as well.

A carnivore's dream... Meat just keeps coming unless you ask them not to. Lovely serving staff too, very friendly. The atmosphere is a bit noisy but it's a very busy place so that's inevitable.
