Go to this cafe often, usually Sundays as their roast dinners are top notch ! Definitely would recommend a breakfast or dinner if you're in canton.😁

Gone downhill since last time I went there, they used to have fresh cabbage and potatoes on plate. Meat was to tough. music to loud, won't go again, frozen veg now

A "no frills" local eating place that provided a wide choice of menu, attractive on the plate and generous portions of substantial food. Sensible prices ensured that the cafe seemed to be well supported. I was impressed by the speedy, willing service. Thank you all at the "Tuck in Cafe". Happy to call in again.

Pre-football Match,full of Cardiff fans but all were sooo friendly ! Service and food was quick,but fresh and hot ! Great value . Big Brekkie with EVERYTHING in Toast,Tea etc. Hate Mushrooms and Black pudding but they swapped for sausage or bacon,which is VERY rare... Lastly, the service was fantastic...friendly,warm,asked how food was by Owner I believe. So much better than the Chain Places !

This is a superb cafe. Very friendly staff, very comprehensive menu, super fast service. Imagine everything you expect in a cafe and this is it. I had a full breakfast. It was generous, not swimming in grease. Perfect

As someone who has probably had a full breakfasts in most / all the cafés in Cardiff, this place will take some beating.

I don’t usually have breakfast at a restaurant, but decided to try Tuck in Cafe with couple of friends to try their breakfast , once we got there a friendly, energetic, and charming Girl named Srwa welcomed us and we asked her to prepare her favourite breakfast , we ended up with a decorated table full of delicious english and eastern breakfast We did enjoy the meal and the coffee we definitely spend more time there and 100% recommend this place Couldn’t add more than 5 stars

What an amazing cafe this is been there previously and had coffee & breakfast reasonable price but this week blown away by their kindness and community spirit. My mum fell outside cafe badly and head was bleeding they gave her first aid, hot drink and really looked after her. Thank you sooo much you make a huge difference

Whilst doing a bit of shopping, we decided to pop in for a cooked breakfast. The place was busy, but we had our food within 5 minutes of ordering. Food was hot and tasty,nice size portions too. Great value!

Visited with friends for breakfast. Served quick and food delivered with a smile. £6.25 Breakfast 2 bacon sausage fried egg mushrooms beans tomatoes hash brown chips with fried bread toast and mug of tea. No complaints.

Been few times last couple of weeks .wasnt to bad about 2 months ago served by tall man helpful polite quick service food was plentyand not bad not great eithr..but last 3 weeks awful ..the latte and coffee is really bad not nice or milky and burnt my lip so bad its blisterd on it had to politely asl for more milk and mad them aware .seems a bit chatoic lately with quality gone a bit a poor .we been unhappy last 3 times so wouldnt gp back now but will if it improves again.

Tried for the first time yday- glad we went! Amazing food and lovely staff. Will be our new regular!!

We had the set breakfast at Tuck in café this morning and not only was the service great but so was the food. The cafe was clean welcoming and such a lovely smile on the lady that took our order would definitely go back

Went here this morning ..we had a nice breakfast lady was very polite. The nice atmosphere was a bit spoilt by the rowdy lot thar came in later on but that's not theur fault ..only let down was the eggs weren't runny . My partner and I like them runny . But hey ho

My husband and I went for breakfast here this morning. We both had the standard breakfast, I had hot chocolate and my husband had the cappuccino. Lovely guy served us, very friendly and we had a great service provided. Food was delicious. We will be back for sure.

Excellent value for money Sunday lunch included a drink and desert. Friendly service. All day Big Breakfast - £8 including tea or coffee. Can't fault it!

Good prices, friendly staff, and one of the things I liked , double egg on toast means 2 eggs on 2 slices of toast, yesterday ordered from a coffee shop around the corner and had one egg on a slice of bread for 4 pounds

Checked reviews on this cafe as we were passing so stopped by had a breakfast absolutely dissatisfied.. Would of rather of gone hungry!!!!!

Seems to have gone down hill recently. Food not usual standard, service poor had meal which came without toast and was promised toast was on the way. Finished meal and left no toast arrived.

We’ve used this gem of a cafe for years. It seems to have new ownership recently. Our visit today was disappointing. There seemed to be a mistake with every order. Our breakfast arrived but the toast didn’t come until we asked for it. Our drinks took even longer. There was a perfunctory apology but counts for nothing. Out plates were thrown on the table while the server was already talking to the table in front. There was far too much swearing from the manager who should have been rectifying problems rather than yelling at staff. Our plate were cleared again without comment or eye contact. The music is far too loud for the size of the space. The food was good but the overall experience means we won’t be back

Used to be excellent but ever since what looks like a change of management, gone down hill.

Met inlaws here on wednesday .they travelled from pontypridd and was a xmas vosit so met here .orderd food ..tool ages when it did arrive they forgot beans .so went up told them and was told they woukd bring them over but they never did ? The service was appalling . Shambles all our food came diffrent times ..orederimg was nightmare and food was not grear ..its a cafe ..wasnt overly busy ..yu forget beans then say bring now then still dont bring . Will never go there again or recomemd ..the whole experience was shocking !spoilt our xmas reunion as we live up kent and only meet twice a year ! How hard is it to rember to put food on plate @

Not the best of places, but the food tastes good. Unfortunately, they forgot my beans on my order, so I asked for them again, and they still didn't bring them. I think they could improve by giving every table a menu, rather than a big one by the till.

Popped in with my son for a brekkie. Was really surprised. Very clean and plenty of seating. The food was the best I've ever had in a cafe. Everything was perfect. The staff were all lovely. I'm not joking you've got to try this cafe in canton. You won't regret it. Mmmmmmm.

It's hard to find a deal in 2022 but this little cafe offers fantastic value for money. A proper fry up with black pudding and fried bread. A classic and a wide selection on the menu for anyone's tastes. Great choices on drinks and friendly staff.

Haven't been to the Tuck Inn for a long, long time but it's still just as great as it ever was. Dropped in for a coffee today and although I didn't have time for food I'll definitely be coming back soon for one the lovely breakfasts (I saw enough of what everyone else was having to know how good the food is!). Beautifully clean inside, comfortable seating and blessed with friendly staff - fantastic cafe!

Would of gave it a five if I got to order what I wanted, like I did the week before. Gentleman took my order wanted a large breakfast minus a few things I dislked. He basically ordered what he thought I should have. Food is excellent always good. But disappointed

This is a cracking local cafe that does exactly what it says on the tin - breakfast and lunch with a lovely menu that is cooked almost on front of you! The food was great and came out piping hot and as can be seen from photos - portions are outstanding for the prices. The staff are lovely and judging by the conversations, many of the people coming here are regulars, which is not surprising for the welcome, quality and value for money.

Not as good as it used to be before the pandemic sadly seems to have deferent staff and the food not as good will still use it but as I said not as good just okay

Absolutely brilliant cafe. I was down from North Wales and stumbled on this cafe. Breakfast was amazing even came with some chips. Staff were all friendly and helpful. If you local or just in the area this place is a must.
