Was really thankful to find that even out of season this place was open and serving hot, freshly made doughnuts - because sometimes you just need to embrace nostalgia and a doughnut is a good way to do that. We'd trekked around Llandudno and Conwy and nowhere else seemed to do them on the day so really appreciative this place was open.
Great food to sit outside by the beach with.
The guy who served us was super helpful as my children had never eaten burritos before and we were unsure what to order...
We came here due to other reviews however the service could have been much better, the restaurant is very tired looking, the food was OK. I suspect there are better locations to eat in Llandudno.
First visit after the refurbishment and really liked the vibe. Fresh and modern with nice little touches. We were welcomed by the excellent James and served by the friendly Harry. The fillet steak was superb and cooked to perfection and the truffle fries a great addition. The pizza was also delicious. I used to adore the old Alfredos and now I love the new one too. Can't wait to return.
Service fantastic and food delicious.

Service good
Lasagne awful wouldn’t order that dish again. Garlic bread & chips nice tho
Reading previous reviews it's obvious that Welsh Rarebit is either love it or hate it , I have to say I've never been served Welsh Rarebit like this, far too liquid on a slice of tough bread (couldn't tell if it was toasted at all). Taste wise it was fine but appearance wise it was awful. Good pot of tea though.
Great food for pretty decent prices. We visited it twice on two consecutive nights during our recent visit to Betwys-y-coed. Definitely a great place for a lovely meal. Happy to recommend this. We came via a recommendation too from my OH's parents.
Johnny Dough’s offers one of the finest pizza experiences I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. This spot provides a fantastic atmosphere, particularly perfect for a casual outing with the kids or a relaxed meal with friends and family.
The pizzas here are not only reasonably priced but also packed with flavor. Every bite is a testament to their commitment to quality and freshness. My personal favorite is the Goats Cheese pizza—its consistently perfect taste never fails to impress. The richness of the goat cheese, combined with the carefully selected ingredients, makes it a standout. I highly recommend pairing it with their homemade coleslaw, which complements the pizza beautifully with its refreshing, tangy flavor.
Johnny Dough’s may have a more casual vibe, but that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s a welcoming and comfortable place that draws you back time and time again. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy great food without any pretension.
In addition to their excellent pizzas, Johnny Dough’s has recently expanded with a new concept—Johnny Throws, an indoor axe-throwing experience. While I haven’t had the opportunity to try it yet, I’ve heard glowing reviews from mutual friends who rave about how enjoyable the activity is, followed by a well-deserved pizza. It sounds like the perfect way to add a bit of adventure to your evening before indulging in their delicious offerings.
Lastly, I appreciate that they cater to a variety of dietary needs, offering gluten-free pizza bases and vegan cheese options, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a great meal here.
If you haven’t yet experienced Johnny Dough’s, I highly recommend giving it a try. Whether you’re a pizza aficionado or just in the mood for a tasty, casual meal, this place will not disappoint.
