Great food to sit outside by the beach with. The guy who served us was super helpful as my children had never eaten burritos before and we were unsure what to order...

Ordered a bottle of coke with my order and it was out of date!

Lovely fresh food and sooo tasty. Myself and my daughter really enjoyed it. Been waiting ages to try here and didn't disappoint!

Love this place. The burritos are massive Ive tried all the meats on offer and I could pick a favourite they're all next nice. Made in front of your eyes fresh as you like. Beats a kebab every day of the week.

Food is lovely but the prices have gone silly. 21 quid via just eat for 1 item ( a chimy) jeez I could go out for a steak dinner in hicks for that with table service. Always liked this place but will swerve until the prices are sorted.

We ordered as a group, all trying different things and we loved every bit of it. Although it’s pricey it was well worth it. Amazing food and quick service

Me and my partner ordered 1 chicken and 1 pulled pork quesadilla along with loaded fries and loaded tortilla chips. The whole meal cost £50 with 2 drinks and it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten in my life. The quesadillas were soggy and had no flavour what so ever and the fries and nachos just turned into a soggy, gloopy cheese mess, practically inedible. We only drove 2 minutes down the road to eat the food so that just shouldn’t be happening. An insult to Mexican food, how they’re still open is beyond me.

The food was delicious but the delivery time was an hour and a half - had we known that wait time at the beginning we may have made other arrangements. But thank you for the lovely food!

Ordered a chicken burrito and loaded nachos. Really enjoyed it - tasty and filling. You choose all the fillings yourself so you can have it how you want it. Was served by a lady who was polite and efficient.

Order ready to collect straight away. The taste was amazing, but sadly the burrito was stone cold, (we only live 5 mins away). The churros were rock hard too and the dipping chocolate was grainy.

My partner and I order from here regularly, the food is brilliant in every way, a little on the pricey side but very much worth it in regards to taste and portion size. Our favourite things to order are the chimichangas, burritos and churros! The staff are lovely and friendly especially the lady that’s served us the most. Highly recommended!

Those chilli and cheese bites are not good value for money, there’s an economic depression on that is hurting us lower classes.

If you love Burritos this is the place to go. The portions are big and the food is exceptional. The food is so tasty that I have been there twice in one week. The service is fantastic and you're made to feel really welcome every time you go there. You guessed it, I will be going there loads more times in the future. A must stop for anyone that likes Mexican food.

Extremely disappointed. 30 mile round trip for Luke warm food. We’ve not been here for over a year and always held it in high regard.. I wouldn’t say standards have slipped, I’d say there none existent. Quesadilla wraps were burnt, and cold. Cut in a ridiculous way so you couldn’t pick them up without the contents falling out. Was given a pot of veg, it have been microwaved in the same pot, and I literally couldn’t pick it up to open it, by the time it was cool enough to touch I had finished. Naked Burrito was a box of slop, really wet and also cold. Fries(£3.85 for a small box) Where completely tasteless, dry..felt I was eating cardboard. Devastated. Hope they re-think about the standards of food being put out and take there time in the future.. quality of quality of orders..

Lovely food with a great selection.

Saw it closing up so nipped in on the off chance they had something left. Will was only too pleased to serve me some of their lovely food. Will be back next time we're in the area to have a more relaxed pick of the menu.

Have been coming here since it opened a fair few years ago. Lovely food, great menu. Shame prices have gone up so much and I don't think the loyalty card scheme is used anymore. Still that's just a sign of the times. Other than that, it's nice to not have to drive to Chester for Mexican food.

Staff very rude chicken was dry the woman serving had no manners Avis at all cost

Good food, very helpful staff. Right on the front by the sea. Staff were knowledgeable and took time to offer advice and options particularly around options for the kids.

Over 1 hour late getting food. No assistance from shop or just eat. Very poor service. Will never use this service again. Also overpriced for the food and considering how late it arrived is a slap in the face

Very expensive for what you get and the food was cold! Didn’t look very nice either. Meat was poor quality, and the burrito was all soggy and watery. Disgusting, never going back.

We try to patronise local business as much as possible and the people there are very nice, but this was our 3rd try (have ordered from this establishment twice before) and we were still disappointed at the quality of the food - The sour cream was liquid and all of the food was cold. We had ordered online and when got there for collection, it was about 5 - 10 minutes wait while other customers were served and our food was bagged up. The food was cold when it was collected.

Highly recommend for a hearty takeaway with tasty Mexican flavours! Good choice of side salads and sauces to go with the main dish.

Mexican Wave is always the staple of our holiday to Rhos. Food is devine, priced slightly higher but once you get your food you understand why. The quality and portion sizes delicious and generous. The staff are always friendly and we genuinely enjoy it every time we go.

Food was cold. The chillies, roasted peppers and onions etc. we’re refrigerated. Only the beef was hot. It was really nice after we heated everything up. Very disappointed. The food used to be amazing a couple of years ago.

The food was very oily and bland , way to expensive for what you get , and the taco shells were soggy and not that nice , unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant at all

Pre-ordered to be delivered at 6:30pm, came 35 minutes late. Burritos were cold, chips were stale. Unfortunately wouldn't order from here again, spent nearly £40 too!

I do think the food is overpriced but the portion size was quite a bit. Do think the delivery guy should at least knock on the door to let you know the food is delivered, not just leave it on the doorstep without ringing the bell or knocking on the door. If it wasn’t for the previous comment on here about the delivery driver not knocking, I wouldn’t have noticed that the food arrived. Even if it’s contactless delivery, the driver should at least ring the bell to let the person who ordered know that the food has arrived.

The food was over an hour late I ordered it hours before in advance for 5:40 and it didn’t get here until 6:40 … then the churros where hard and chewy … normally this place is ok but I feel pretty disappointed for a £50 order of only 4 items

Massively over priced for what it was. £35 for a mixed meat burrito, portion of chips, onions rings & a Drink! The delivery driver just left the food on the doorstep and I had to phone up…to see what was going on with my food. I won’t be spending my money at this place again

We had a huge Burrito each tonight before a trip to see llandudno fireworks! Delicious and tasty and fresh! We were glad to stop by again and were not disappointed.Definately worth a try if your in Rhos on sea.

I had the mixed vegetables tacos with rice. Only one taco was crunchy because of the juice from the beans made the other two soggy (using Refried Beans would be better). I wasn't given any cheese & the guy serving wasn't wearing gloves. The whole meal was very bland, but am giving 1 star as the salsa & guacamole was nice. However, will not be visiting again.

My son paid £35+ for three burritos - one vegetable, one chicken and one beef. Mine was the vegetable burrito and I can honestly say it was the worst take-out I have ever had the misfortune to eat. The vegetables seemed to come from Asda pre-prepped packs with half a dozen kidney beans and a few grains of rice thrown in and to make things worse the root vegetables were rock hard and the whole meal stone cold. The other two burritos were little better and 50% of all three went into the food caddy - it would have been more, but we were all hungry and begrudged wasting so much of my son's hard earned cash. I've looked at other reviews and can't believe we're talking about the same place, our food really was incomparably bad. So, what happened Mexican Wave, you used to be so good - was this honestly just a one off truly awful experience?

Although it's never ready when I arrive on the time specified it is definitely always worth waiting for, always fresh always lovely and one of my favourite take aways around town, will always come back and always recommend to people who have never tried it you won't be disappointed.

Due to our love of Mexican food We recently ordered a delivery Consisting 2 burrito’s, 1 spicy beef and 1 warm chicken, along with a side fully loaded nacho’s. The cost of these three items along with delivery was over £40, so we were expecting a good quality takeout. What arrived was far from that. On opening the beef burrito exposed with the amount of liquid in it, both of us were covered in it and we were sat opposite sides of the table. The chicken burrito was ok but very slimy the wrap just fell apart. The fully loaded nachos was a box of cold ingredients not the usual melted cheese etc and had a strange flavour. The majority of the food went in the bin and we definitely won’t be ordering from there again very disappointed and extremely overpriced!

My brother lives down here and every time I visit I’m always in this place. The lady in charge and all her staff are amazing. Love it

Food was great with big portions. There was a bit of a mix up with our order and we didn't receive a side which we ordered. After phoning the store, staff were very helpful and that item was refunded promptly. It was our first visit but we will definitely be back.

So, the food here is fantastic. It’s really tasty and probably one of the more interesting takeaways around here. However, NEVER get this delivered. Every single time stuff is packaged like it was rushed out the door without a care, sloppy boxes of food thats just been thrown into it’s container and more than once, we’ve had the right item with the wrong meat and ingredients. I don’t know how much of the mess is down to the drivers, but I feel as though its on the part of the establishment since it’s always packaged very lazily and the wrong ingredients makes me only too sure. So, get this food in person, it’s banging but they seem to just not give a single monkeys uncle about the delivery stuff. Maybe its the nature of the food. Just don’t bother with delivery as I say.

The staff were really helpful and made a delicious, massive quesidilla! It's takeaway only but plenty of benches outside right on the prom 🙂

Ordered for collection it was all ready for the pick up time requested and we had a steak burrito and a chicken burrito it was lovely I was always worried when ordering from here because I don't like spicy food but you can custormise it to how you like and it was delicious we will definitely be back 😊

Wandering round Colwyn Bay looking for dinner and came across this place. Nothing short of excellence. Service was fast and friendly and the meal was very tasty and huge portions. I had a spicy beef burrito, my son had steak tacos, and my daughter had chicken and cheese nachos. No complaints from anyone. Just kids saying how good it was. Highly recommend 👌🏻 See picture for size of burrito. It fills my hand!

Portions are way too big although totally delicious. Consider making them smaller and a bit cheaper.

We ordered 9 burritos, fries, nachos and a couple of sides. Fries were cold and one burrito missing from our order. Complained by phone to the takeaway but they blamed Uber! and told us to take it up with them. Terrible customer service and poor quality barely edible food .....NOT recommended

All our good was aired. We were told this is how Mexican food is served . Food was tasteless and story and we are still waiting for the missed items to arrive over one hour later. Very patronising when phoned to complain and told to complain to Uber as apparently if the food is poor they decide if a refund is given .

I live locally and tonight was the first time ordering from here. It was AMAZING. Fresh, delicious ingredients cooked to perfection. I over ordered slightly for 3 of us, we had Nachos with spicy beef, chicken tacos and naked burrito with grilled steak and Mexican rice. Everything comes with fresh salad, and all the salsas, nacho cheese and sour cream came in separate pots, as did the chicken to prevent our crispy tacos going soggy! It was really reasonable too, just £30 for plenty of food for 3 people. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.❤️

One of the most depressing meals of my life. Bland, lukewarm, just lazy really. None classic Mexican flavours just some bland nacho cheese sauce and a scattering of lazily chopped, giant chunks of pepper and onion, what I assume is microwaved rice and some “guacamole” that is really just a couple of spoons of mashed avocado. The only would be positive is the large portions but the food is so bland it becomes a chore to force it down. Save your money and get a supermarket DIY kit.

Went here today for the first time, haven't had tacos before and the lady was very helpful recommending what to have on it, the food was really nice, we will definitely be going again to try more of what they have. Food portion was big and well worth the price highly recommend
