Edwards Of Conwy in Conwy

My boyfriend and I stayed in Conwy from 5pm on Monday to 10am on Thursday, and in that time consumed 7 baps from Edward's. Right up the block from where we were staying, this is the perfect shop to grab an early breakfast bite or a lunch bite - I only wish we could have purchased some meats to actually cook as they all looked amazing. We had the following baps: ham/cheese, tuna mayo with salad, garlic chicken with salad, roast chicken with stuffing, turkey with salad, sausage with egg, and sausage. Each better than the last! The rolls or baps were SO good and soft, all the ingredients super fresh. We miss these! I want to open a bap shop in NYC now so look out for my future business venture.

We recently visited this amazing and thriving butchers whislt on holiday. We both enjoyed hot sandwiches. Also Bought 2 steak pie for are dogs. Also 2x welsh oggies for us humans. My dogs enjoyed their pies so much, we went back the next day. For more hot sandwiches and also tried sausage roll this time. Even got cold sandwiches for later. Of course dogs both got another pie each too. Plus sausage roll. You could smell the hot sandwiches. Impossible too walk past.

The dragon scotch egg was probably the best scotch egg I've ever eaten, my only regret was not being hungry enough to try the other items on offer!

Have used Edwards many times over the years, most recently when popping in to grab a filled bap for lunch. Fantastic deli offering with various filled baps. The pork pies are outstanding, with the scotch eggs being better again! Haven't bought any meat from here for a while, but friends recently purchased some and were extremely pleased. Edwards are always our go to for the Christmas Turkey, they NEVER disappoint. Put this on your list as we transition our thoughts to Christmas preparation. Worth travelling to Conwy especially! Edwards sausages are sold far and wide (and I recall one time even the Supermarket majors were stocking them) - so goes to show the level of quality on offer from this lovely local Butcher - Well done!

As an Edwards fan it was disappointing to buy a couple of traditional sausage rolls on Saturday and find the pastry was undercooked. We had walked down to the quay to eat them and if we hadn't had visitors with us we would have taken them back. Not what you expect from Edwards

Looked in the window and the pies looked amazing! Didn't buy one though the old ball and chain wouldn't let me! (Don't tattle tale on me.. he's a bloke!)

Excellent butcher. Lots of local products, including cheeses and pies. Advised.

Fantastic quality butchers, would definitely use them again when in the area. The lamb kebabs are a big plus, but the whole range is fantastic. Great value, too. If you’re nearby, don’t give them a miss!

The local Lamb steaks were perfect Sausages were amazing and the fillet might just perfect!

First time visiting this butchers and was not disappointed. Grabbed a Scotch Egg, Welsh Oggie, Huntsmans Pork Pie & 2 Sausage rolls to use in a picnic for a trip to the Bodnant Gardens. Also picked up some Mince, Bacon and Sausages for tomorrow. The Welsh Oggie was amazing (also my first ever one), the Scotch egg & Pork pie were also amazing as were the Sausage rolls. Highly recommend this place and the staff are extremely friendly. Best butchers in Wales by a country mile!

A really great butcher shop, with excellent quality! This was the first butcher shop we saw on our tour of England and Scotland. We bought excellent lamb chops and other meat products there. If there were more stars, they would get more. Very friendly owner and staff.

We had their homemade sausage roll, pork pie, turkey stuffing pork pie and their dragon scotch egg. All very tasty. A lovely butcher, sandwich and deli shop.

Arrived in Conway and after enjoying the food you can buy at Edwards headed straight there as we had had an early start to avoid the traffic. The food they sell is excellent both in terms of quality and quantity.

Sausage rolls and pasty looked amazing, but both totally lacked flavour and ended up throwing in the bin half eaten because they were so disappointing. Yuck!

Decent warm roast pork, stuffing and apple sandwich here this Mon lunch time for £5-50. Busy shop.

For this premium price I expect real butter in a ham salad sandwich rather than some artificial spread.

We travel miles in our motorhome just to call into this butcher's the best by far ,also in beautiful Conwy, the meat and the steaks , oh my the steaks , we also enjoy the breakfast baps ,pork baps and salad too the size of these baps and the filling are well worth the money , prepared meals absolutely delicious , l could go on and on 1st class butchers .

Great for a breakfast bap or lunch time bap but the rest is way to expensive you are only paying for the privilege of shopping at Edwards of Conwy

Spectacular achievement in meat & good food. The steak pie (to-go) is always a must when in Conwy. Brilliant staff and awesome place.

What a great looking place love the idea of butcher home made meals to cook at home. I bought the most amazing black pudding and a variety of sausages Just used the firecracker for a sausage stroganoff Truly amazing

Cracking butchers. The sausage and bacon are of course the go-to products here. Be aware though that Asda in Llandudno often have Edwards products on offer at a fair bit less than the Conwy shop! And unlike Dylan's shop opposite, this Welsh business likes to say YES to cash!

It's not often you feel that you're eating healthy sausages and burgers. But with Edwards' you do! This doesn't mean that you're sacrificing on taste. The sausage recipe has changed recently but they are just as delicious as they were. The chicken burgers are fabulous and are very low in calories, which is an added bonus if you're watching your weight. The beefburgers are full of good quality beef and don't shrink at all when you cook them. I'm obviously a big fan of Edwards' - we even arrange our North Wales holidays so that we're within easy reach of their shop in Conwy, and can fill up the car for goodies to eat once we're home! Diolch yn fawr am bopeth!

The best pork pie and sausage roll I've had in a very long time. The pie could've had a tiny bit more jelly, but the filling was really tasty and the pastry crisp (very hard to find). 5 stars. Wish I lived closer to buy these more often.

Best meat butties ever and lovely variety of hot/cold foods

Called in at 7am today 18th August. Was served on the pie counter by a very helpfull lady. I purchased several pies. The lady wrapped them to my requirements which I appreciated as well as giving me her advice on the pies that they sold and how to store, freeze and heat them. I then went to the butchery counter and bought various items. Again a helpful service with a smile from the gentleman who served me. This is an excellent, well presented high quality butchers shop with helpfull, willing and knowledgeable staff. I always purchase items from here when I am in the area and can highly recommend this shop.

Got some great quality meat for our dinner here. We are staying in an airbnb and were able to get things which were healthy, tasty and easy to cook

Outstanding quality. I Highly recommend this Butchers, they offer beautiful steaks. You pay for what you hey here and you will not be disappointed. They offer a wide range of meat, pies, cooked meals etc. Don't miss this place. We got two beautiful Fillet steaks and two taco Chicken stuffed breasts. Fantastic, well worth it. The steak melted in your mouth!! The sandwiches are nice and great to take down to the water front. Much better than the supermarkets and you are helping a local business.

Amazing, loving looking meats on display - but incredibly disappointed in the lamb oggie I purchased. It was not a traditional lamb oggie: the lamb was a paste - not small chunks of meat and it contained peas instead of leek. Very disappointed

The most amazing Steak & Stilton Pies , the biggest and best traditional Sausage Rolls. Nothing makes a visit to Conwy more complete than a trip to Edwards . Their butchers counter has the best locally resources meats . First class service and fare .

This place has got to be hands down the best butchers around, not even joking! I've been eating various meat products from Edwards for some time now from local stores but today we made the first pilgrimage trip to Mecca and its only 17 miles down the road. Unfortunately for us it was getting towards the end of day trading so a lot of meat had been stored away but we've bought a few different tasting sausages and as im writing this i can smell them cooking away in the kitchen and im literally dribbling away with excitement and anticipation 🤣🤪 Very friendly staff (especially the manager that likes ghost stories👻💀) and we'll be back again soon but earlier in the day so we can take in the full range of meat on display.... Love proper little local friendly shops like this one 😋

Always fabulous service great meat, we go their when ever we can, spend a fortune but its worth it. Only thing i would suggest is have disposable dishes for there gorgeous meat from hot deli we had it in a bap but all the gravy & stuffing is too mushy on the bap/baguettes but so lovely abit expensive if you have eat meat only & throw the rest away cause its soggy.

Been here today , was told they had hot sausage rolls available , the last then put a sausage roll in the microwave ! , Which came out mushy (obviously) what did she expect , I also purchased 2 pork pies , which I can honestly say where on par with the ones you would buy in a pack from Asda , very poor quality for a butcher , this place is a complete rip off , over priced and poor quality food

Always go out of our way to come to Conwy to take some of their lovely meat home with us. Highly recommend the bacon and the fillet steaks. Set in a great little building, leave Tesco and Morrisons and go to Conwy to stock up on everything you need on a Wales holiday!

Delicious meat pies but served in a polystyrene box

Conwy is the home of the famous Edwards of Conwy butchers and is a Mecca for meat eaters whether you’re after raw meat or something from their deli section. I particularly like their dry cured bacon and handmade sausages, and from the deli I highly recommend you try the oggies and pork pies. Just be wary of the sea gulls if you eat them in the open, they’ve also taken a liking to Edwards produce.

My hubby won't eat meat from anywhere else. He was impressed that the bacon never shrinks unlike supermarket bacon. Cracked black pepper sausages are a favourite. The offers during the week are good too.

For someone who doesn't normally like sausages, this place has impressed me so much with their chilly sausage. It's heavenly good and all the dogs from the shoreline can smell it. *-*

We lived in Stockport. And bought sausages predictable called Manchester Sausages which were really nice. We now live in Pembrokeshire. So we tried your Cumberland sausages and we're smitten Lovely sausages. Geoff, Fishguard.

As anyone who has stayed with us and has had a breakfast hamper knows, Edwards of Conwy cracked black pepper sausages are world class ! They have their own shop full of lovely stuff in Conwy and some of the sausages are available at most Welsh supermarkets too. Worth a visit - and a sausage butty when you get there!

My favourite butchers. Every time I come to Wales I also pop to Conway just for this shop.. The meat is brilliant

Even if you just go for the hot food counter you'll be made up, gorgeous food and lovely people running it. You can't beat a cooked breakfast from Edwards.

Classy shop that sells quality produce. We were introduced to their Breakfast Sausages at the B&B we usually stay at when visiting Conwy and they are really nice, so much so that we always call in and buy some to take back home.

The breakfast bap........bacon over cooked..... sausages under cooked (like they had been boiled only!) egg was very dodgy looking (didn't risk my health by eating it!) never going there again....
