Excellent service with a happy group of staff.

It's been a while since I really enjoyed a portion of fish and chips as much as these. We were up for a week staying a 5 minute walk away. The chips are to die for; simply lush. The fish was also excellent with a lovely crisp batter. Also a decent portion that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Will definitely be back before we head home.

Probably the best fish and chips I have had in years. We found this place very recently and keep going back. For fish you have the option of Cod. Haddock or Plaice as well as Scampi, fish fingers and fishcakes. Other items are Holland's Pies, including Steak Pudding. Chicken nuggets, sausage, chicken, beef and veggie burgers. Peas, curry & gravy. You order as you enter and your food is made fresh as you wait. Classic chippy without all the Chinese stuff so common on menus these days. A perfect 5 !

Sadly I am going to disagree with many on here. Gar too greasy all round, batter too hard and fell off fish. Chips too hard and poor quality. Sausage was nice though

Without a doubt the worst fish and chips I've had in the last 10 years . . . Thin Cod coated in a batter which was swimming in oil . . Horrible and a waste of money !

Queued for half an hour, most of it at the front of the queue. Staff totally ignored me. Finally asked what was going on, to be told we’re closed now it’s 8pm. They said I should have gone to the sign that says “place order here” but I’d literally been stood right next to the sign for 20 minutes and no one had said a word. Terrible customer service!

The best chippy for miles. We have been visiting here for 42 years. We are not locals (except our son in law CC) but have a caravan nearby. Eugene and Sandra and third staff whose name escapes me, are fantastic hosts and treat us like locals. Great menu, served fresh to order and quick service. Highly recommend.

Fish was beautiful with delicious batter

It's supprising how many so called fish and chips shops get it wrong.... Not this one,these people know how to do it.The whole serving staff are very pleasent and not fake happy, It runs like a well oiled engine,I've had fish and chips twice now and I have only added salt because that is how well it is cooked, needs nothing else.. Great effort guys, I will be back before I finish my week holiday.

Sausage and fish were battered really well and not greasy at all. Chips were also great and so was the curry sauce. So yea everything was great really. Surprisingly cheap as well.

Had my favorite meal again from here, Fish ,chips ,mushy peas and curry sauce, all delicious ,good portion size and quality, Good system to order at side door then wait outside front entrance to collect allowing social distancing, good old fashioned chip shop menu and friendly staff.

My family and I use this chippy all the time when in area , Usually fish and chips are fantastic , we had fish and chips few weeks ago and they were not nice , fish well overcooked and chips not good , my son and partner also went recently and were of same opinion , not sure how standards have dropped from being fantastic to poor , matbe it is something to do with new frier range recently fitted and taking time to getting used to operation?

Partners food is fine, the woman doesn't seem to understand the word cheese and gave me peas instead so I ended up going without, (alway thought peas and cheese were quite easy to separate but guess not) partner enjoyed there's though hence 3 stars not less

If I could give less than 1 I would, the service is useless didn't listen got the order completely wrong leaving food unedible, partners chips were hard and cold batter on sausage looked 3 days old, wish I'd never bothered now should of just cooked in the first place

We always use this Chip Shop when we visit our family in Penmaenmawr. The standard is always high and we have never been disappointed by the choices on the menu. Staff are very friendly. This is a first class authentic British Fish and Chip shop. Treat yourself.

My wife and I and both our sons and partners always use this chippy when staying in Penmaenmawr , we look forward to the mouth watering fish , chips , peas and curry sauce, really nice food and good value, owners and staff are always very sociable

It was recommended as a great chippy well we wont be recommended to any one else. Soggy chips small greasy fish yuck .curry was hot,a slice dripping greasy black pudding and service was a family affair getting mixed up and not listening to there customers needs that's no vinger on my fish please while mother trying to stop the other member of the family putting on when I said no vinger.

This chippy is my local and have eaten here since I can remember. The food is always tasty, cooked fresh and piping hot. Always a good crack to be had with the staff. Never had a bad meal from here and compared to other chippys in the area the prices are very good.

Always great food and not expensive. Not been decorated in 30 years but that has no effect on the food.

After a busy day walking the dogs we came here for tea, it was lovely. All was freshly cooked and staff very friendly, even the dogs liked it.
