Turned up Monday evening having travelled almost 200 miles and was closed. Ultra disappointed as this is normally our go to place when having time in Conwy. Checked website and said open at 4.00pm What happened ??

Central location. Excellent choice of delicious, traditional and unique pizzas. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I can certainly recommend the chicken tikka pizza 😋

Visited on a Sunday night and was pleasantly busy. Great place for Pizza, shame that the Beetroot pesto pizza was out of stock but the goats cheese pizza was fab 👍 Garlic bread was super strong and delicious 😋

Superb gem in the heart of the walked town, very friendly and welcoming staff, with a huge range of pizzas to choose from. These are NOT the usual run of the mill pizzas found in most takeaways, these have clearly been thought about to work with the ingredients used. Superbly cooked to perfection, so delicate and thin, and incredibly light. We didn't leave a single crumb, not because they were not big enough, but because they were simply divine. They size is spot on, just right for the hearty appetites and really good value for money. Just remember to book, as these wood fired pizzas are amazing, don't expect to walk in and be eating in 10 minutes.

We called Morgan Austin about a 3-hour-long disturbance in the hotel room above us. He simply did nothing to help solve the issue and cowardly switched off his phone. The police had to be called. The rooms are quite noisy as it is an old building, so you hear everything in and around the building. Also there were visible cracks on the ceiling and walls that should have been fixed. The location is great though and the pizza's as well. I would not recommend a stay at this hotel though as I clearly experienced how unhelpful management was and how noisy the rooms can be. There are better options around Conwy.

I stayed on the 23/08/24 what a lovely good value, great views lovely free breakfast, a great hotel however do not believe a terrible review from a guest on the same date. The hotel is pet friendly, I had a dog camera in our room as we had a pet,when I reviewed the footage a man hammered on our room door when we were out because our dog barked once, he threatened me with the police , he was obviously insane so ignore his stupid review it’s a lovely place the staff are excellent 😊😊

The best pizza I have had in a long time. Reminded me of our trip to Rome where we had this level of authentic pizzas …. We came back next day and enjoyed again… Big variety for VEG !!! Love the service as well .. perfect 5 star for a holiday!!

To be fair, let's separate this. We stayed in the rooms above Johhny Doughs and ate in the pizza place below. Our room was tired, and it needs some good tlc. The carpet needs a good clean, as do the hallway carpets. The window opens but doesn't stay open, so you ha e to prop it up with a coffee mug. The main light in the bathroom is broken. The shower head doesn't fit the holder, so you would have to be 7 feet tall to catch the spray. This could be so much nicer. The pizza. Omg, so so good. The team were great. Special mention to Kate. Great smile and greeting. We sat down at 8.45pm, tables were dwindling and the team you could see were tired. We order a cranberry juice and a pint of house lager. The lager is a bit wishy washy, nothing special. Olives ordered, a margarita pizza and a goats cheese pizza. The pizza is good. Well topped and cooked properly. A bit of seasoning would make it perfect. I ordered a side salad but that didn't arrive. There was no ice cream. James (assuming he was the manager) told us the freezer had broken some time ago. All in all a good visit. Wasn't a great night sleep but hey ho. The whole place, pizza restaurant and rooms are shouting out for investment. I know times are tough, but some fixes are easier and cheap to do. I would go back and eat.

How good can pizza be I wondered. On the menu I saw they had a very creative smoked haddock special. It was absolutely glorious! Lovely place, friendly staff and really nice beer too. Astonishingly good.

The staff in the restaurant were fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food was great! One member of the team in particular (I wish I knew her name) was so engaging and kind with my daughter which really made her day! I cannot recommend a meal here highly enough ☺️

Really nice people and the food was very filling. The children got to make their own pizzas so it was very enjoyable as well as delicious.

absolutely BANGING i would genuinely make a two hour road trip to come back. they’re the friendliest ever, the menu is great, i got the chicken tikka off the specials and it blew my mind 🤤 love the whole aesthetic too, everything’s branded great and it’s just top notch! highly recommend 🍕

Polite service. Pizzas were good with some interesting toppings. It was very hot inside, air conditioning would be advisable. It was particularly hot outside either.

Delicious food and a great place to visit with children. The staff were so friendly, our girls were able to design (and make!) their own pizzas, and were given a table-cloth to colour in before the food arrived. We had a wonderful time!

Booked a table for 8pm. Arrived on time. 30 minutes later nobody been to take a drinks or food order. Asked twice and was told we would be served in a minute.

Very friendly staff. The location was nice and central. Lovely choice of tea and coffee. The bed was super comfy and sheets clean. The room could have been cleaner, as could the stairway up to the rooms. The bedroom window was impossible to keep open, so j wedged the bin under it. No guard on the windows to stop children falling out. I was also really hungry and sad no gluten free options were offered in the restaurant. Otherwise, I would have eaten there as well as stay upstairs. I'd recommend it as a place to rest your head, as the bed made up for any negatives, as did the lovely staff. It was very pricy, but accommodation was hard to find, so I was grateful to be able to stay.

The room was actually quite spacious and well appointed with everything you might need for your stay...however the window glass is single pane. We were visiting on a Friday night-one of 2 nights they have live music, and were committed to listen all evening... That said, you are but steps from one of the most beautiful castles I have encountered and they had a bagged breakfast delivered to the door that was perfectly wonderful! Shout out to Caitlin for a warm welcome and for serving us a great pair of pizza pies!

Excellent pizzas and nice people. Needs a bit of a spruce up in the future, but no issues at all with the important bits. Won't tell me who supplies their dough though - shame as I'd like to buy some to cook in my own oven :-(

Great service at Johnny Doughs. Staff couldn't be any more welcoming. Pizzas are good with vegan cheese available. The super spicy sauce needs more exclamation marks as it is extremely spicy! Cocktails cooled us down though.

Absolutely amazing pizza. We visited on Thur 30th May and I had the goats cheese and red onion pizza. Great quality and great value for money. Definitely going to go back the next time we're in town.

Great place to take the family. The pizza was delicious, there's a good selection of traditional and newer pizzas on the menu. We have two younger boys and they brought out a giant paper tablecloth for them to draw on with crayons, while our pizza was prepped. Even better, the kids can make their own pizza - kids choose the toppings, then they bring them out and put them on the bases themselves which they loved! Really good value as well - would definitely recommend.

The food was great but my god the tables were filthy! Sticky and in between so much grime that's clearly not been cleaned in a long time.

Reply when ordering I was told they were unable to do a chicken topping as as they only do barbecue chicken as the chicken had a barbecue rub when we opened the box it had plain chicken drenched with barbecue sauce Tesco do better pizza kids wouldn’t eat it there was no need to lie to us. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

We came here for pizza while staying in Conwy, and it was so delicious, we came back the next night. We loved the goats cheese with caraemalised onion, and the haddock and leek was divine. Really special place with lovely staff, beautiful pizzas & simple, but stylish cosy interior. So glad we stumbled upon it!

Lovely food! We have been back a few times due to their selection of vegetarian pizzas. They take coeliac disease very seriously, and cook the gluten free pizzas separately. They also do really nice cocktails, our favourite being the margarita. Really nice atmosphere, quick service, plenty of options…we can’t wait to visit again.

The best thing I ate in my 4 month stay in the UK was the lamb roll from here! The experience rivaled that of exploring conwy castle!

Commenting only on the food as I didn't stay in the rooms. I normally only leave good reviews however this is more a criticism. 1 hour and a half when the restaurant was half empty for 3 pizzas shocking from the reviews I expected an amazing pizza it wasn't. Pepperoni tasted cheap and "fake" the dough flopped didn't hold well no crisp just poor overall really no check backs on food others were offered oil for their pizza we were not. No mention if we wanted to get more drinks. Can understand a full restaurant however we arrived at 7 30 roughly. Just disappointed as we witnessed one server go above and beyond didn't catch his name but he was the only one dressed even somewhat appropriate. The rest looked like they had just come straight from college.

Absolutely fantastic place the food specially the gluten-free was beautiful. Nothing was too much for the staff. The young lady behind the till attention to detail was outstanding. The chefs always asked if you would like extra cheese etc would recommend this place all day along tasted just like when I was in Italy. 👍

Solid 3/5 pizza. Edible, filling, but nothing special that you'd rush back for. Soggy base and lack of cheese, but decent quality toppings otherwise. I'd try other places before getting another pizza here.

Great service, really friendly staff! The guy serving saw we had children, and offered to put a white sheet over the table with crayons, so the kids could colour, while also offering for the children to make their own pizzas, which they absolutely loved! 🍕 Only missing a star because the pizza wasn't as nice as the one we'd had at the Llandudno "Johnny Throws" with the axe throwing. 🪓 Otherwise, really impressed! And the service really was awesome. 😁👍

The best pizza I think we've ever had. Was in Conwy for 3 nights and ate here twice. We had the meaty special and would recommend. Only issue is the second time we went we were served porter with a best before date of July 2023, did not taste great! Staff were accommodating though.

Owner is a total creeper!! Rooms are dirty and full of pubic hair. Avoid!!

2 front of house staff when the place was really busy obviously wasn’t enough as we were kept waiting for around 15 minutes. There were people who made their order after us but received their food before us. As for the food, the pizza was nice but nothing to write home about especially given the wait time.

Great New Years Eve pizza, lovely venue......would recommend if staying in Conwy.

We visited here as a family, hadn’t booked and yet weren’t turned away! The service was absolutely excellent and the man who appeared to be the manager was incredibly attentive 👌🏻 nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and we felt was very fairly priced. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Conwy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In the last 2 weeks I've had take out from colwyn bay and are in llandudno and conwy food spot on in all three, conwy is my favorite front of house there james and nicole make you feel welcome and nothing to much trouble. Something really cozy about conwy next visit I'd already booked. Recommend asking for a take away pot for any leftover coleslaw had mine with a cheese butty today two days later still fresh as Friday.

Having watched four in a bed and being regular visitors to the area but never able to get a booking we booked well in advance this time. Brilliant service and fantastic pizzas. Very reasonable prices. Staff are aware of dietary requirements and are very attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend visiting but make sure you book.

I worked in a very successful pizza restaurant growing up and thought we made the best pizza… Johnny’s proven me wrong. Their pizza bases are unbelievable!! Been to all of their restaurants but this one is my favourite (I have no idea why). I’m not saying their pizzas are the best pizzas in the world, but they’re in the top 1. Staff always welcoming & friendly. Kids can make their own pizza & the menu is fantastic! You’ll try some toppings you’ve never tried before.

Fab service, great pizza - I went for a goats cheese pizza which was thin and had the perfect combination with the ingredients for a great taste. Went on Monday late afternoon when it was a bit more empty, but still enjoyed the vibe thanks to the fab background music

This is a great place for a relaxed night out with children. Staff are very friendly and pizzas are delicious with a variety of imaginative toppings. The child’s pizza is the same size as an adult one. Be prepared to wait as they are cooked to order.

Menu is belting with a wide choice and very easy to make changes and add ons. Love that we can cut out our own pizzas and the cutters were good too, they did it with ease. Pizzas were delicious and staff were all polite and lovely too. Drinks were very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend and definitely revisit. No complaints and was very impressed!!

We went with a family of six. The restaurant was busy, however we were served promptly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and fun. Food was perfect and our cocktails were delicious. Highly recommend for a family night out . Thank all the team .

So .... we saw this b&b on Four in a bed several years ago. But because of covid, and my husband needing brain surgery, it's taken about 3 years before we could actually visit. Something that we both looked forward to because we liked what we saw on the show. All I can say is...sorely disappointed. From opening the guest entrance to see the state of the stairway, to opening our room door. Crumpled bedding. Mould around the window frames. Cracks in the walls and ceiling. The toilet, the rim has not been touched with a brush or cleaner for ages! The toilet brush and holder, full of excrement and dirty water. We ate at your on site pizzeria....members of staff running around like headless chickens because they were short staffed. The pizza was uninspiring, bland at best. You have a huge problems with flies there also. All in all......our worst night away Ohh! Nearly forgot the breakfast bag!! Do yourself a favour...don't bother to look inside...just go somewhere else!!

Great pizza, vegan and gluten free options and lovely staff. I had the Mediterranean vegetable pizza with vegan cheese, garlic bread and a cocktail. My partner had the chicken tikka special pizza, both absolutely loved our meals. Service was fast, although we weren't asked if we wanted a dessert menu or more drinks we could have easily got their attention if we wanted them so we're not too fussed. I also appreciated that there were free pads and tampons in the toilets for customers, a really nice touch that's so simple to implement, more places should be doing this!

Looked online for a place to eat in Conwy and saw this place, phoned and booked with no problems at all, you can also book on the website really easily. It was easy to park as they are right across the road from the main carpark. We were greeted at the door and seated, the staff were really friendly. There are lots of choices for pizza all made in the wood fire, I had farmhouse which is basically ham and mushroom my all time favourite, husband had chorizo, prawn and chilli which he thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely recommend and will definitely go back next time we are that way.

Really delicious pizza! Great service. Definitely would come again. Only thing was there were quite a few flies about the place and the loos weren't up to par. Needs a bit of investment from the owners, but can't fault the food or the service.

Girls weekend away and stopped by for tea. One of our party was gluten-free, no problem. Everything was gorgeous from start to finish. Best pizza I've had in ages. Thank you.

We were “walk in’s” at this fully booked Pizzeria but the staff found us a table for two. They were very busy in this final weekend of the school holidays. Food, drinks and venue all good but my warmest praise must go to the waiters. Warm and friendly and super efficient. Lilly was exceptional. She seemed to anticipate what we wanted before we asked for it. She was efficient yet found time for a chat a joke and a smile at every stage of our meal. People who do not work in service don t understand what a privilege it is to serve others. Here at The Conwy branch of Johnny Dough’s they understand what excellent service looks like and have made it their craft. “Big ups” to the chef too for the delicious wood fired Pizzas.

Nice food - disappointing service We had booked a table, arrived a little early but the table was ready so we were "taken" (and I use that loosely) to our table. The waitress pointed to two tables and said you can have either of them and then told us that no we couldn't and she pointed to the one we could have. We waited a long time to be asked for our order and then another half hour before two out of three pizzas arrived. When we were asked if that was all, we told them we were missing two garlic bread and side salad. These arrived shortly after. We had to ask for cutlery and if any sauces were available. How do you eat a salad without cutlery? Unfortunately this place does not offer service with a smile. The staff looked miserable, just dumped cutlery on the table and walked away. Nobody asked if everything was okay with our meals or if we needed anything. We were then privy to one waitress having a bit of a "strop" at the chef, all in earshot of customers. The floor was dirty and had food on it which really needed brushing up. We had visited here a couple of years ago and it has gone down hill in terms of service. Food good, service absolutely not. Definitely need customer service training! Shame after our initial impressions a couple of years ago that it has changed and not for the better.

We made reservations as we heard it would be a busy weekend in Conwy. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded, but the service was indifferent at best. The server took our order and then didn’t come back for 40 minutes. The next time we saw her was when she brought our meal out…40+ minutes later. It was the wrong pizza, but had been so slow in coming and we couldn’t get her attention again, we ate it anyway. They never came to see if we’d like another drink, ask how the food was etc. it’s a small town and can be busy but I would not go back.

We loved the pizza and garlic bread. Some real different choices on offer. It's in a great location on Conwy too. We did have rather a long wait, but were not the only ones, so there seemed to be some issues on the night. The pizza was worth the wait though.

The restaurant was super busy but the waitress literally ran down the rd after me to say she had got a table for me and my two hungry kids. I was really grateful. Thank you. Lovely pizza as always and loved the Sauvignon blanc. They do need to update the menu with some new pizzas I think.

Food was excellent, just had the smoked haddock pizza, really enjoyed it. My daughters had a mussel pizza and a Hawaiian, husband had pepperoni, clean plates all round. Very tasty food and nice helpful staff.

Booked a table for our wedding anniversary. (Don't judge...I love pizza and we were staying upstairs in the building) Staff was lovely, drinks were ordered swiftly, and the food ordered with not much delay. Smoked haddock and leeks with a white sauce base, and a pepperoni and pineapple, arrived piping hot and tasted delicious. Hubby commented on the uniqueness of the toppings but they were very effective and tasty. Complimentary glass of prosecco each was a really lovely touch and much appreciated. No complaints and highly recommended.

It saddens me to write a bad review for a small, local business but after the food which was presented in front of us, I feel that I need to. The pizza was not like an authentic wood fired pizza, but rather a flat, hard base and sloppy toppings. The cheese and the tomato paste were very tasteless as I can see another person has recently commented on. Pizza should be full of flavour and herbs. However, we did not have any issues with wait times and the staff were polite.

The pizza's are made fresh and are huge! The location is lovely with a view of the bridge through the window. The pizza is quite large and could easily be shared.
