Came here without a booking with some friends on the 21st October. We were met and informed that there would be wait as lack of staff that night, which was totally fine for us. We sat had some nibbles and some wine. Good selection of wine. The pizza arrived 35mins later which really wasnt that much of a wait especially for how good it tasted, I had the chorizo and prawn, delicious. The staff that were working that day were amazing. Youngish girl who was the supervisor and a young lad who were smiling, happy and attentive,a nd even when they had to deal with some awkward Karen type of customer. They delat with here superbly. Excellent visit, would come again although it is due to shut soon :( Hopefully they could make a take-away Jonny doughs in Rhos.

Bar service was garbage. Whilst waiting for barrel to be changed I was looking at the menu. When drink was brought over girl sloshed a load over menu I was reading and then over the table , she never said a word or even cleaned up, just looked at us and walked off. The beer itself was flat and nothing like it should of tasted like. Good knows why but we still ordered food. Pizza was ok. Jacket potato’s ok but burger was tasteless full of gristle and grease. Horrible.

Johnny Dough’s offers one of the finest pizza experiences I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. This spot provides a fantastic atmosphere, particularly perfect for a casual outing with the kids or a relaxed meal with friends and family. The pizzas here are not only reasonably priced but also packed with flavor. Every bite is a testament to their commitment to quality and freshness. My personal favorite is the Goats Cheese pizza—its consistently perfect taste never fails to impress. The richness of the goat cheese, combined with the carefully selected ingredients, makes it a standout. I highly recommend pairing it with their homemade coleslaw, which complements the pizza beautifully with its refreshing, tangy flavor. Johnny Dough’s may have a more casual vibe, but that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s a welcoming and comfortable place that draws you back time and time again. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy great food without any pretension. In addition to their excellent pizzas, Johnny Dough’s has recently expanded with a new concept—Johnny Throws, an indoor axe-throwing experience. While I haven’t had the opportunity to try it yet, I’ve heard glowing reviews from mutual friends who rave about how enjoyable the activity is, followed by a well-deserved pizza. It sounds like the perfect way to add a bit of adventure to your evening before indulging in their delicious offerings. Lastly, I appreciate that they cater to a variety of dietary needs, offering gluten-free pizza bases and vegan cheese options, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a great meal here. If you haven’t yet experienced Johnny Dough’s, I highly recommend giving it a try. Whether you’re a pizza aficionado or just in the mood for a tasty, casual meal, this place will not disappoint.
