Great place to stay. Staff were very friendly at reception and in the restaurant. The food was one of the best meals I have had in a long time and I will definitely be back again! The whole place had a relaxing feel and there was plenty of parking. The location was great as it wasn't too far from Aberystwyth seafront.
Stopped off on a long car journey, so the pub fulfilling its original role as former coaching in stop.
Really good food, excellent service and great value for money. Despite being very busy, everything worked well. Particularly recommend the house steak and ale pie.
Also dog friendly which is a bonus.
Top place - will call again.
Very poor, got there, got told after about 20 minutes of waiting there was no electricity, then told it would be 15 minutes, waited a additional hour, with no update, staff were very unhelpful and rude,so left, wouldn't advise anyone to go, plenty of other nicer establishments close by
We arrive at 14:54 today and weāre about to take a seat to be told sorry we are shut. A tea room closing at three? Website says five. So we took our business to someone who appreciates customers
Popped in here for some fish and chips to takeaway and was pretty disappointed tbh. Although I asked for a large fish and chips and a regular fish and chips both fish were the same size and not large at all (somewhat coincidentally the guy serving announced they were out of fish after my order...at 6pm in the evening!). The chips looked old like they had been refried and the gravy was lumpy. To be fair there were lots of other options on the menu but felt like they didn't really care about what is their main product. Won't be returning.
Ordered food at the bar and was not busy when we ordered our food once ordered we sat down with our drinks
30 mins went by and other people who arrived in the pub a good 10-15mins after us were being served there food to there table
My partner is a diabetic too so she asked how the food would be the lady told her 5mins
Time went by then the lady came over to our table and said so sorry but your order didnāt get to the kitchen
So at that point was completely cheesed off at this point and left the pub
The lady gave my partner a mars bar as sheās a diabetic but service was awful unfortunately

Stopped here for breakfast while travelling through. . Really good quality food . Friendly staff. So impressed stopped the next day on the way back for lunch .Again really good . Definitely worth a visit.
The food was very yummy and it was a very kid friendly place ( with some books and toys)! Would highly recommend for lunch or even just afternoon tea! The service was a bit slow but was under 30mins! Overall a great place and we will return!
Just walked 2 miles to go for meal and a pint, to find the pub shut. š”the website said itās open all day !!! Please update your website so others donāt have a wasted journey !!
Our first visit to the restaurant and DEFINITELY not our last.
We have been to quite a few restaurants locally in past few years. But this gem of a find is by far the best carvery we have EVER had. All the family said the same and my wife also said the desert was to die for (personally, I don't know how she had room for it).
We will definitely be going again, to try the main meals, also they are dog friendly, but can you let them know in advance when booking a table.
