Crossgates, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 6RE, United Kingdom, Wales
Hidden prices they don't add the VAT on the prices until you get to the till, unless yet another employee are scamming people again, weirdly enough they still have his wife working there.
Update: The employee Hannah charged me £1 extra and I was refunded regardless doing that to every customers or a customer here and there they or the employee could make a pretty penny after a while.
First time here and, definitely, will not be my last. Excellent food served quickly and the service was second to none. The waiter was attentive and even suggested food to try that we hadn't already. I would, thoroughly recommend it.
Lovely location for a delicious Sunday roast. It was my birthday, we were staying nearby and lucked out when we found this place. It was a miserable wet day so can’t speak much for the outside grounds but inside was lovely and welcoming. Staff all very helpful and so accommodating towards our dog and toddler.
The food was delicious, very plentiful and we had desserts too that were also tasty. I would not hesitate to recommend or return.
Overall a lovely meal
We had to wait at reception and were then told to seat at the only table set for 3 people but weren’t taken to table
Initially service was a bit slow but it did improve
Staff were polite and friendly
Food was good, fresh and very tasty
An absolutely superb cafe serving awesome veggie food hot and cold. The food is tasty, interesting and prepared with loving care. I had a ciabatta with haloumi and it was beautiful. It's in a lovely setting and the staff are super friendly. Could not recommend highly enough.
Proper nice place. Beer was.good, food was filling and tasty, locals were friendly. Room was nice, on suite was modern and clean. Bed was comfy and I slept like a baby.
Fantastic views from the restaurant but from there on in a disappointing experience. My starter of pork cheek was burnt and the duck breast I chose for main was over cooked and tough to the point that my husband had to stabilise the wobbly table when I cut the meat. My husband did slightly better with a rather lackluster leak and potato soup, his main was a success, he chose the chestnut and mushroom Wellington which was good. We were the only diners in the restaurant, which added to the slightly dismal ambiance. At over £100 for 2 with therr courses and a single drink it felt over priced compared to other establishments in the area. In its favour the views were brilliant and it was very convenient for bridge 116 on the Mon and Brec canal. However the slightly longer walk to Crickhowell is rewarded with excellent food at the Bear.
Wouldn’t even say it was worthy of a 1 star rating.. Chicken half cooked and cold. Kebab meat cold. Pizza was terrible, and Garlic bread was too horrendous to even explain. Waste of money.
