Taking a walk around town, popped in to view menu, choices good as we're prices. Ordered food and drink then found table. Chilli was good and tasty, however, roast chicken came out with item asked to remove, chicken was over done and dry. Decor is a little dated, worst part was drunken patron using excessive bad language even with children in restaurant.

Did not stay at the hotel but ate here a few times during our holiday. Staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome as did the locals. Food was tasty and good value. If I’m in the area again I’d definitely visit again. Thanks!

I was staying here (it has a hotel attached) and thought I'd eat in on the first night. The menu was fairly standard, no surprises. As I was in Wales I ordered the lamb shank. It arrived in good time and even though it looked like a pre-packaged one, it tasted great. Good quality mash and lovely veg and gravy. I was allowed to have my dog with me, which was a nice touch.

Ate here twice while staying in the area and both times it was great. We had their burger, beef, lamb shank and gammon. They were happy to alter the order such as a couple of new potatoes instead of chips with the burger. Portions were a good size and very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Anne (we think that was her name) who was very welcoming. The other excellent point about this venue is its cleanliness particularly in comparison with the other licensed premises in Llanwrtyd Wells. So well done Belle Vue and good luck for the future.

This place is amazing! Don't be deceived by the rather run down look of the building. The new owner has only been there one year and is having to build the business back up. He has started with the quality of the food and the warmth of the welcome. He, a bar tender and a chef worked their socks off the night that we were there because several unbooked groups turned up at the same time, but remained cheerful and helpful the whole time. I ordered the small ham, egg and chips for £5.50 and it had two huge slabs of delicious ham, a beautifully cooked egg and some v shaped chips that were to die for. My hubby had an excellent Thai green curry. The steaks that were coming out were more than I could have eaten. Only the basket meals looked normal size. The menu was not fancy but contained a wide variety of dishes and they have a pizza menu too! Our dessert had to be shared 'cos otherwise we would never have walked the 300 yards to the train station. Go for a meal here soon, as I predict that it won't be long before you need to book a table to get in.

We stopped here on a long journey back to Scotland. We were made very welcome here and the service was very good. They also doubled checked to see what our daughter could eat as she has an intolerance to gluten in any form. Good to see different foods instead of the usual jacket potato. They even went as far to check the ingredients on the chips. The food was freshly made, nice and hot and good sized portions. Worth waiting for. As we were leaving a group of bikers came in and put their helmets and jackets by the roaring fire to dry out (storm Brian). Great to see that they were made extremely welcome and very accommodating. Great hospitality. Many thanks

After a morning mountain biking we needed some food. Even though we where a bit grubby (we had changed) the staff in the Drovers Rest welcomed us in. Our order arrived quickly and the food was stunning. If in Llanwrtyd make sure you try the Drovers. The owner/head chef and as it turns out fellow cyclist came out for chat about where we had been on our bikes.

This pub has been taken over by the owners and the meal was really nice. I went for the vegan chilli. The owner substituted the naan bread for prawn crackers as I am unable to eat milk containing foods. Cannot complain as having spoken to her in the day and mentioned I fancied chilli she kept the last one for me, on the chance I may come in. Pub grub at it's best. Would definitely recommended if you like pub food.

Had some traditional pub food. You can't really go wrong here. Staff were very pleasant and this was during the Real Ale Wobble and beer Festival that was all going on the same weekend. Had a good time and they put extra screens up for the rugby (autumn internationals were on too) which was very much appreciated!

We were recommended the belle vue by our hosts at a nearby b&b, so we not expecting anything but a pleasent evening and meal, we were placed in the rear dining area which resembled spomething to a butlins restaurant with decor and tabke settings from the sixties. Whilst the staff were friendly the overall experiance left us at a loss for words. I ordered a steak with salad and my colleague requested lagsagne with a large salad, on arrival of our meals it wad noted that the salad was lacking colour ie red, it appeared that they had run out of tomatoes, I requested the wine list only to be advised that there was no white wine other than a already opened bottle, we made a simple observation that there was a spar store across the road and it may be an opportunity for them to address their lack of stovk by popping across and purchasing a few tomatoes and a couple of bottles of wine lol. The final insult wax to be told at 9.10pm the they had stopped serving st 9:00pm and we could not have deserts, after a couple of words the chef decided that he could produce a lemon brulie at a push, 45 mins later a bowl of hot lemony milk was deposited at my friends setting, after attempting to eat this desert, which was impossible as it was unset and just runny hot milk with lemon we decided to give up and vacate the premises, in fairness to the belle vue, my steak was presentable and tasty, but I would not recommend this hotel for fine dining.

We were desperate for food and it was getting late on a Friday night. We found the Belle Vue Hotel just off the main square. The Coca Cola, from a pillar dispenser, tasted bitter. The food (scampi with chips and a side salad and steak & ale pie with chips and mashed potato), were OK. In fact just what you would expect in an average pub. Unfortunately halfway through our bar meal the premises was invaded by two groups of locals totalling about two dozen. The girls were foul mouthed and the men very loud. They were obviously regulars as the bar staff knew them by their names and knew their regular tipples without being asked. In all a basic meal in an average pub at an average price. I wouldn't go there again unless there was nothing else available.

We were staying locally and called in Saturday 5 October for a meal. Asked about chilli but was advised it was not very spicy so opted for beef madras and rice. Sauce was very watery and not particularly nice. Rice o.k., naan good ? Sherwood's. I have had better curry from Asda, tastier and half the price.Apart from my wife and I there was another couple and two couples together with two children. There was a Scottish guy, obviously a local, whose language we had to endure during our stay. Neither of the people who were serving bothered to speak to him about his language and unknown to me, had spoke to my wife on the way out. She told me about this later in the evening. Not an establishment I would go to in the future.
