The best restaurants in Newtown East Powys Mid Wales

Superb food and friendly staff. Booked a table for 7 plus 2 dogs and requested breakfast, even though we were due to arrive shortly after midday. The Full Breakfast was fantastic, as well as the falafel wrap and salad. The dogs were treated to free dog treats and supplied with fresh water. This was our second visit to the cafe and certainly won't be our last.

Six of us for Sunday lunch. We had a great time. The waitresses were really good, the meal was able portion and really tastie. Would recommend. That's Kerry lamb team

We visited on a Saturday afternoon, a lovely atmosphere, service and food. 10/10 - will definitely be revisiting soon :)

Lovely convenient place to stop for lunch enroute for North Wales. Discovered this little gem by chance and we are so glad we did. Tasty fresh food reasonably priced. Friendly staff who keep the premises clean and welcoming. better We visit several times a year since finding it about three years ago. Do not pass it looking for better. You will pay at least double and not eat so well.

Visiting the area and decided to try Health loaded . Unsure what to expected but it certainly didn't disappoint .we had chicken Andalusian with brown rice and steamed veg,salmon ,rice and roast veg and chickpea curry. The flavours of all the dishes were amazing and all beautiful cooked . Portions were generous and really good value for money . Great food,thank u

Thoroughly enjoyable Breakfast Sandwich. Very well cooked and served on a fresh salt and pepper bap.(other options available). Fair price for quality of the hot food. Pleasant and professional service. Highly recommended 👌 💯

Very tasty food, one of the only restaurants I’ve tried in this town that was actually good! I’m glad in such a small town there’s an opportunity to try such heartwarming food.

Food is always freshly made, owners are very nice and polite & worth every penny! Would highly recommend the chicken souvlaki, its delicious!

Quaint little pub with a classic train motif. It's warm, the clientele when I was there seemed very nice, and it has live times for the train station. I will be returning

I have stayed at Parkers House around 5 times now , when in Newtown for work and have always been so happy to stay over. The rooms are spotlessly clean, very comfortable and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and have tea/coffee and lovely extra touches from the host. Great breakfasts too, I’d highly recommend a stay here .

Got puncture this morning and can't get replacement until tomorrow...so nothing else to do than wait and have beer! Found this bar, very friendly atmosphere and felt very welcome. Would highly recommend!
