The best restaurants in Lampeter Ceredigion Mid Wales

We booked afternoon tea for last Saturday, and it did not disappoint. The food was delightful, the hosts most welcoming, and the view stunning (even though it was raining.) We had such a positive experience, that we've booked to go back for the Grill Night next month. Well done Paul and Vanessa, you've breathed new life into the place!

I went to LT dining hall today (for the first time) for the Sunday carvery and what a wonderful surprise. There were different roast meats to choose from as well as a vegetarian option. The meat was served by the staff at the counter, but from there on it was self service - roast potatoes, roast parsnips, boiled potatoes, mashed potatoes, cabbage, carrots, garden peas, mushy peas, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding. Then over to the self service condiments section, mint sauce, apple sauce, cranberry sauce, horseradish sauce and gravy. For all of £7.95 - amazing. There were also dessert options, but I had no room left. My Mum however had the bread and butter pudding. She came back with something in a bowl the size of a small fridge, it was huge! The cream that went with it was self service too. I will definitely be back. I think next time I may get a dessert to take away, as 10 hours later I'm beginning to feel peckish.

Exceptional staff, beautiful hotel and stunning location. We first visited the Falcondale in May 2023, I was looking for a dog friendly hotel in close proximity to a wedding venue (a private house) we wanted to view. What was meant to be a simple place to rest our head very quickly became our dream wedding location. We had never stayed anywhere else where the staff were so friendly and where ‘dog friendly’ means so much more than simply allowing dogs to stay. Up to and including our wedding we stayed 4 times and every time was consistently excellent. Our wedding was amazing, everything we dreamt of. We mostly recently stayed over NYE and that was just as fantastic. The food for the NYE gala dinner in particular was excellent. We cannot thank Hannah, Matthew and the rest of the team enough, you always go above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Our dog is absolutely spoilt rotten with dog dinners and lots of attention, Matthew personally ensures Oreos dietary requirements are met and that his food is served timely :D The new owners are very friendly and take the time to introduce themselves and show genuine interest. Came for Sunday lunch on 3rd November and the food and service was outstanding. We had 3 courses and each course was lovely. The beef and salmon were perfectly cooked and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The atmosphere was great and we’re looking forward to our next visit very very soon.

This is a cute place and I liked the relaxed seating at the back. It's quite a casual vibe which is nice. The food was okay. The chips were really good though. Service again was okay. It's a good option for a quick stop in Lampeter but I wouldn't rush back.

We went here for an early lunch. My partner had a toastie and I had a panini. There were lots of choices. The service was smiley and friendly and the food was hot and delicious! Would definitely recommend.

We were visiting relatives and decided to try this Indian takeaway. I can honestly say it was delicious and we throughly enjoyed, it was well cooked, extremely tasty and we will definitely be back when visiting again Definitely recommend

Phenomenal range of specialist range of food, a vegan & vegetarian paradise. Lots of help from the staff if needed. Food is served, seating primarily upstairs, we are not vegan or vegetarian however, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, changed our minds about flavours.

We spotted the phrases home made and made from scratch on the blackboard and this helped us decide to try this casual dining restaurant in Lampeter. The Covid precautions were good and the staff member was very pleasant. We both chose the crispy chicken burger and coconut cake. Everything on our plates was very fresh and delicious and made with good quality ingredients. I strongly recommend Sosban Fach for a fast, very tasty ,generous and well priced lunch!

Sorry but I think this review is fair… and I am usually only too happy to give any good review to help small businesses… I asked for a gluten free avocado and egg combo on toast. It took a very long time to come, despite not many customers, and the toast was so hard I truly had problems cutting it. I was slightly underwhelmed on the combination to start with! Whilst I was there, 2 ( believe locals) walked out as their food took too long to come. To be fair they ordered just before me. So sorry, but £13.00 for a flat white and nearly inedible toast frankly wasn’t good.
