We spotted the phrases home made and made from scratch on the blackboard and this helped us decide to try this casual dining restaurant in Lampeter. The Covid precautions were good and the staff member was very pleasant. We both chose the crispy chicken burger and coconut cake. Everything on our plates was very fresh and delicious and made with good quality ingredients. I strongly recommend Sosban Fach for a fast, very tasty ,generous and well priced lunch!

We preordered food to take away for the Easter Weekend and arranged a specific time for collection. Good service. Diolch yn fawr. The food I enjoyed the most from our order was the Chicken and Ham Lasagne an the Winter Salad. Very tasty.

A little gem in the centre of Lampeter. Very traditional looking teashop. We visited twice - once for breakfast, where we were treated to home made pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup, gorgeous, and good filter coffee. Having enjoyed our breakfast so much, we went back for lunch - my partner had never tried cawl (a Welsh meat and vegetable stew not unlike Scouse), and I was delighted that her first experience of it should be this good! The version they served was made with beef, which I think is even better than the usual lamb. Very tasty, great lunch for a cold winter's day, and served with bread and butter and a nice chunk of cheddar cheese. We highly recommend Sospan Fach - friendly service and good homemade food, what's not to like?!

I recently moved near Lampeter and have now been to this cafe a few times. The staff are very friendly and the service prompt. All the food is very fresh and made in the premises. The best thing of all the is the food is CONSISTENTLY good, not hit and miss like a lot of places. Lovely friendly little town too!

We needed a quick lunch before heading elsewhere, and Sosban Fach fitted the bill perfectly. The men ordered toasted sandwiches (lots of choices of fillings, breads, etc) and I had a bacon and egg sandwich (good runny egg). The sandwiches came with a small salad accompaniment including homemade coleslaw - they make their own coleslaw, salad dressings ... and marmalade. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, and there was a good choice of food on the menu and specials board, plus good looking homemade cakes. I will visit again next time I am in Lampeter.

We come to Wales twice a year and never fail to visit this cafe. The waiting staff are charming and we are always met with a warm, friendly greeting. The scones! Out of this world: crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cherry and coconut one is to die for. Oh, and the egg and bacon sandwich is great too.

Mum late mum and her friends would always duck out of the rain into Sosban Fach. It's very tidy and comforting to be there. Popped back recently with my kids and big sister, it was so welcoming and there's lots to cater for little people including their mega milk shakes! Oh my word - my two little lads were (almost) speechless on the sight of them. Great to be back and whilst many cafe's and coffee shops have gone by the way - this one still stands out and there's a good reason for that. It's proper welsh and lovely.

Went in just before they shut one time with my partner. I asked for two small coffees, on hindsight I should have been more careful. The first warning to my experience was the old lady steadily burning my milk to within an inch of common decency. What I got, in the end, was a milky coffee with boiling burnt milk, and then got charged over £5 for it. I was so angry I could barely talk and my partner hurried me out of the place before I could say anything. The coffee was completely tasteless, and we emptied both into the nearest bush on the uni campus. My wallet still stings to this day.An absolute joke!

Sospan Fach is a beautiful little cafe full of Welsh charm. Avril & her team give such a warm welcome and a there's a fantastic menu of hot and cold food to choose from (I've sampled their perfect comfort food day treat - cheese & potato pie and today their chicken club with crispy bacon, both of which I'd highly recommend!) Their homemade elderflower cordial is unmatched by supermarket brought stuff and is a must have for refreshment. It is also available to buy bottled from the cafe along with some tasty jams & chutneys. Unfortunately I have not yet been able to try the gorgeous looking cakes as I've filled up on lunch but will be making a dedicated cake and coffee trip to do so soon!

We went for Sunday lunch. There was Pork loin or Beef to choose from. We chose pork and it was lovely. There were 7 side vegetables, all beautifully cooked also Apple sauce and gravy. For desert there was a large choice. I chose the home made meringues with summer fruits and whipped cream. The meringues were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. They were beautiful as they were not too sweet and the fruit and cream complemented the meringues very well. My husband chose the home made apple flan with ice cream and that was also very much enjoyed. The staff are very welcoming and we will certainly be back. Thank you.

Came for Sunday lunch on 3rd November and the food and service was outstanding. We had 3 courses and each course was lovely. The beef and salmon were perfectly cooked and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The atmosphere was great and we’re looking forward to our next visit very very soon.

The View certainly has the Wow Factor! From the comfortable, modern vibe to the fabulous hosting, Lorraine with her team made our Sunday lunchtime ( and Friday coffees) an absolute pleasure. It really did feel like the customer’s needs were at the heart of what is offered. The carvery totally reached the spot with a very reasonable price tag. What more could we have hoped for. Thank you x
