We've bought ice cream from here many, many times over the years. There are lots of places selling great ice cream in West wales, but this one is the best I've found.
Went there for Sunday lunch and what a disappointment. The beef was so tough you couldn't cut it with a knife never mind chew it.The potatoes(cut in half) was mixed up with the cabbage, carrots, broccoli all in one dish, what happened to turines...not everyone likes all veg...when I went to pay I was charged £50 for 2 roast dinners and 2 cokes, when I questioned the cost she had charged me for 4 roast dinners and gave me a refund, she thought I said 2 pork...when she asked another member of the group if everything was OK and was told about the meat, her reaction was at least we know for next time...there was 8 adults and one child for Sunday lunch and most of it was wasted,so to say it,s was a disappointment was an under statement, especially after reading such good reviews
Stayed with my daughter for a couple of nights before the school term restarts. Room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Very quiet with a gorgeous view of the Welsh countryside. Breakfast was lovely and filling. A real shame they don't do evening meals as it meant we ended up with takeaways in the car as I wasn't sure if we'd be allowed to bring in hot food. That aside, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.
Popped in for a quick lunch as I have been meaning to visit for ages. I was not disappointed. The warmth of the lovely welcome was matched by the glowing woodburner. The menu and specials covered everything from traditional Welsh Rarebit to Patagonian and Korean!
As it was my first visit I plumped for the traditional with a lovely flat white.
The star of the show came with an excellent side salad and some amazing cranberry chutney.
Will I be back? Definitely, the Fiery Patagonian is calling my name.
In summary a fantastic place with lovely welcoming staff and amazing food.
My advice is don’t miss it.
Visited tonight and the pizzas were absolutely fantastic. Wonderful combination of flavours. Had the fig pancetta & blue cheese and the Brie grape & rocket. Would really highly recommend. Thank you Gary & staff
My partner and I popped in for something to eat but they weren't serving food unfortunately, had a lovely cup of tea though to enjoy the absolutely stunning views!!
We'll be returning very soon to hopefully enjoy something to eat and experience the lovely atmosphere again!
If your after amazing scenery and out of the way charm, this is the place to go!
It's really a simple review to write as it's absolutely excellent every time! Whenever they do a pop up, my wife & I get our order in straight away. I think it's the best food option in the area for choice and quality that is done with love and care. There's too many places around that just serve average or below average food. Green Goat stands way above everyone else as how it should be done. They have customers for life in us.
We called into the Black Lion in Aberaeron about 2:30 for some lunch. The two of us, plus our granddaughter and the dog. I asked if we were ok to bring the dog in and was told he was more that welcome. He got served before us as once we were seated they brought him a bowl of water!
We ordered drinks and food. The food was exceptional. (We asked for and was given a takeaway container to take what we didn't eat home, it was that nice.
We would 100% recommend going there, and will be visiting again ourselves. Very friendly and helpful staff (all three of the ones who we spoke to) 6 stars all the way as I can't give a 5 plus.
I order online for collection. Think there are other ways to order. Brought some bread and some other sweets treats. Very nice can't recommend enough. Was warm when I picked it up so not much made it back home.
Thespian St, Aberystwyth, SY23 2JW, United Kingdom, Wales
This place is really special. The host is welcoming and really knows his stuff about rum. The vibe is great. A lot of locals seem to enjoy the place which is always a good sign. Unfortunately we could only stay for one drink but whenever we visit Aberystwyth we will pop in for a drink or two in the future.
