The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in Mid Wales

This is a very nice venue and quite different to anything else around here, I believe this place could really take off, good selection of drinks and the food is surprisingly good.

We have just dined here. The reception was very good and friendly. I like the ambiance here, it tells me that they are confident about their product and it turns out that confidence was not misplaced. We were taken upstairs to the restaurant. It was like being a member of an exclusive club. Another friendly greeting from the restaurant staff and an introduction to an absurdly simple menu. A choice of 3 starters and main courses. When have you seen that before ? This is so refreshingly different. It promised me that they know what they are doing and it came good on that promise. My starter of “sardines on toast” was superb. A game changer. Very very good. There was fennel and lemon and sardine in perfect harmony. This is the best food I have tasted in years ! Next was steak and chips with an endive salad and a sauce vert that was a good complement to the steak. The chips were perfect and a nice amount of pepper on the steak. It’s so simple and so good. Next was a tart tatin and a good custard as a pudding. You could travel all over the world and not eat better than this. Cardigan should be as proud of this as it should be of other notable eateries that have opened up in the town. This restaurant is another example of how Cardigan is going to end up as a quality destination.

Chapters was the highlight of our stay in Hay-on-Wye! The cosy atmosphere, food and service were all top tier. My partner and I loved every course - everything was presented beautifully, and knowing that the ingredients were all foraged or grown locally and sustainably was fantastic. The Perl Las arancini were a particular favourite of ours. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to make dinner reservations in Hay!

A very nice place warm welcome to all the family with lovely Cinema good wide seating Myself & partner want to have Sunday lunch while kids watch film it was a nice restaurant setting at the rear of restaurant with glorious Mountain View’s we were escorted to the table the starters was nice it would have been nice to have but more selection but it was very tasty & well presented Mains I had Lamb shoulder & my partner had Pork with nice fresh vegetables and we ordered cauliflower cheese as extra enough for 2 people the pudding selection was good although I don’t go for what I ordered it was very nice and tasty & not overpowering it was a good value for money & coffee to finish off will certainly will return

Beautiful house and garden. Amazing breakfast. Very relaxing. A pleasure to stay with wonderful hosts.

Cuatro de ellos fueron allí a buscar un restaurante vacío, en una noche en que el resto del pueblo estaba bullendo. Nos sorprendió un poco ya que nos habían dicho que tendríamos que reservar para conseguir una mesa y pagar un depósito de £ 15 por cabeza. No había precios en su sitio web, ninguno en el menú exterior en la ventana, y precios muy altos en el menú muy limitado en el interior. Todos tomamos sopa de goulash y todos no quedamos impresionados, era sosa y apenas contenía carne (£ 13 ) , - He tenido mejor de una lata. Los platos principales eran £ 30 para más pequeñas ofrendas suaves, que ninguno de nosotros disfrutó. Las bebidas eran de casi £ 10 por una lata de cerveza o copa de vino de la casa, ninguno de los dos estando adecuadamente refrigerado. Los cuatro nos sentimos tan completamente estafados y decepcionados, que arruinó nuestra noche por completo.

Oh my god they cook the nicest of food. As it was my 60th I wanted to go somewhere that had a lovely menu & Foyles did not disappoint. The food was so nice I have booked to go again next week!! Staff were pleasant and attentive which makes a difference. Had a lovely table in an area where you can take dogs & don’t feel segregated because of the dog. Thank you so much.

After an afternoon of kayaking and having Dolphins jumping by the side of our vessels we thought our day couldn't get better ......we strolled to enjoy a liquid refreshment and could see the Boy Ashore s fairy lights were twinkling under their sails. We entered to much laughter and aromas from their cuisine which made the amazing atmosphere. We had our very cold drinks which was lovely with baskets of whitebait , served with lemon , dill and a portion tartare sauce. A very enjoyable experience ...... Well done and be proud all concerned

Stopped by for a few drinks - nice friendly service and decor. TV's for watching sport. Parking near by and tables to sit out front.

Had a great breakfast here. Will use again. The downside is that it is only open Fridays and weekends.

Lovely location for a delicious Sunday roast. It was my birthday, we were staying nearby and lucked out when we found this place. It was a miserable wet day so can’t speak much for the outside grounds but inside was lovely and welcoming. Staff all very helpful and so accommodating towards our dog and toddler. The food was delicious, very plentiful and we had desserts too that were also tasty. I would not hesitate to recommend or return.

Excellent lamb shank - tender and tasty and delicious faggots, both hot and served in a very timely manner. Very pleasant evening spent at this hostelry, would we lived nearer!

Food as expected, just like any typical pizza shop. Clean and welcoming.

I would give this place no stars if i could as it is worth a zero rating.Pizza was absolutely discusting and tasted really strange, nuggets were so greasy, some of the order was wrong but in edible anyway.Worst takeaway i think we have ever had.Avoid even if you are starving!.
