Friendly staff and a nice coffee.

Had to put five syars but didnt have food. Stopped for a coffee on way home. Was a lovely coffee and lady serving was very nice. Looked a nice place to eat though.

Just about right, food was hot, tasty , and service was excellent, we only called in like most, on the way by, ive been once before , but will call again

WE STOWPPED OFF HERE FOR THE TOILET AND FOOD WHEN WE WERE ON OUR WAY INTO NEWQUAY IT WAS SHORT STAFFED AND WE WERE TOLD THIS UPON ARRIVAL THEY ARE DOG FRIENDLY AND POLITE EVEN GOT US A WATER BOWL FOR OUR DOG TO HAVE A DRINK CONSIDERING THERE WAS 9 OF US SPREAD OVER 2 TABLES DRINKS ARRIVED QUICKLY AND WITHIN 15 MINUTE'S EVERYONE'S FOOD WAS OUT TOGETHER AND NICE AND HOT FROM 2 PORTION'S OF THICK PANCAKES WITH BACON AND A POT OF WARM SYRUP TO 7 LARGE BREAKFASTS WOTH EXTRA TOAST AND THE FOOD OHHHH YES WAS ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON

Was a lovely day out, 30 years since I was last in there, oh how it's changed, was nice to see a old friend there too 😊

Popped in for lunch prior to visiting the Red Kite centre later on. Service was friendly. I don't care if the staff have any colour hair or tattoos (see prior nasty review) as long as they are friendly and they were. We had fish and chips with garden peas. The fish was breaded, rather than battered. Not sure if it started out frozen when we arrived - I think so as the breadcrumbs were very brown and it took quite a while to come. That said, although it was not the best fish and chips it was perfectly acceptable. It is very difficult to find cafe's that are actually open in Wales so frankly we were glad to be served. Gave the impression of being biker friendly (we were in a car but I am a motorbike rider too). It was clean and the staff were attentive and helpful. Reasonably priced.

Nice to see the Red Kite open again under its new owners. We often use to call but it was often closed under the previous owner so we stopped using it because it's a long way to anywhere else if it's closed. Had a nice lunch today food was great , good friendly service nice disabled toilets. Will definitely call again on our regular trips en route to Shropshire and back to Pembrokeshire

Good little cafe. Clean and tidy, serving no nonsense food. Good value too.

Lovely little stop on a long journey. Staff were very nice, the jacket potato with bbq chicken was amazing. Really liked the place. Accessible toilet was massive and clean. Only thing I didn't like was staff petting dogs then going into kitchen and dogs where people eating.

Unfortunately poor quality. Very greasy and hardly any taste. Apart from that, wrong dish instead of the one ordered. Sticky tables.

Awful! cafe was quiet but still took 45 mins for our cold awful breakfast to come. Only served half meals at our table to then serve another half table before finishing serving us. Toast was cold soggy as only toasted one side some items missing without explanation.

Tasty food,great coffee,friendly staff,lovely setting and reasonably priced.You can't ask for more!!I will add that there is plenty of parking and the toilets are excellent.

Food ok. Coffee completely tasteless. Asked if I could have another shot in my latte as I couldn't taste the coffee. Was told one shot was normal for a latte, but she would put another shot in it. When she returned the latte, I was told sarcastically that if I still couldn't taste the coffee she would put another shot in it. I felt patronised. The waitress had dyed red hair and tattoos. My friend was shocked at the way she spoke to me!

What a lovely place to eat. The coffee is amazing and the owners are just as good! Food was spot on and owner gave me a free coffee while we were waiting for our food. Defo a place to visit and spend your pennies! 😎

Our table was sticky, thought waitress would have come to clean before.Food ok not brilliant! Had steak pie,not much in pie.Waited along time,despite only another couple in there!Coffee nice.Tables were not cleaned as customers left.Cultery left on tables not cleared away.Did not like paying for meal before we had it.

We always stop at this cafe on our way to cardigan mid Wales. It is always the perfect little place Keep up the good work

Breakfast reminiscent of a 90’s truck stop. Spongey white bread, tinned plum tomatoes and a jumbo chip shop sausage. Had better from a butty van on an an industrial estate

Visited on our way to Borth. Welcomed by Maddison, who was smashing! She told us all about the menu, services and entertainment available. Good food and a really nice place to eat.

Great prices, amazing view, tasty food, modern facilities and dog friendly. What more could a on road camper ask for. Staff were friendly aswell as other diners. Peaceful setting was just what I needed, and why I travelled a little further out!

Had a great meal after a 34mile mountain bike ride today in Nant Yr Arian. We need something substantial after that so we had Burger and Chips and Latte and Tea. Spicy Burger had a unique flavour along with some first class meat. The Latte was qell executed with a nice flavour. Friwnsly atmosphere and we sat outside it was that nice. We went away full to the brim!

Popped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Greeted by friendly staff. Food was freshly cooked and hot. Breakfast Panini was lovely. My wife had a Bacon and Sausage roll, which was nicely cooked. An all round delightful cafe, worth a visit.

This cafe is everything you could hope for while on the road. Really good food, great choice and friendly, helpful service.

Such a great little cafe just outside of the Aberystwyth area. The food was great and well presented, and all the staff were also very kind and welcoming. I was happy to find out they’re also dog friendly. I highly recommend this cafe if you’re passing through the village.

Sausage butties are amazing. I was there with my son and grandson as they were running in the The Red Kite Challenge. Funnily enough I am back there on Saturday 27th April 2024 for the same thing. Bring on the sausages.

On a very wet & windy day. Found this cafe by chance, what a lovely surprise my husband & I loved our meals, a nice cuppa to warm us up too. Excellent toilets fully accessible from outside with a ramp up, toilet itself large enough for a wheelchair & free too. If we ever are back that way we will make a point of calling in again. Our server Leonie was very pleasant & friendly.

The location is amazing with great views, excellent parking, warm inside (winter time), clean, friendly staff and good menu for all including vegetarians and vegans. I have visited here twice in the past month. On my first occasion I had a breakfast - excellent, was very nice and great value. On my second visit, went with my vegetarian friend he had a panini which come with chips and side salad which he enjoyed. I had the spicy burger and chips. Unfortunately I didn’t like the burger it didn’t present as a good quality beef burger and a bit dry. However, I would 100% return for their breakfast, great location, friendly staff and nice coffee. Well worth a try.

Lovely place, dropped in for a take away coffee half way through a 6 hour drive, they were just closing but stayed open so we could enjoy our coffee in, lovely staff definitely recommend

Got there after a mtb session and was informed it would be a 30 minute wait for food. So, cycled back up to the mtb trails had a few goes on pump track before sorting car out and driving back which took me about 30 minutes. Once I was there I waited a whole extra 30 minutes before going up to ask if there was any issues. (Waiting on the chips). Got my meal another 10 minutes later a whole 70 minutes after order. The whole time we were there the place was maximum one third full. One of the girls in our group asked for a glass of water while she waited on the food. This took 40 minutes!! The only reason this is a 2 star review and not a one star review is because the food was just about passable and that really is the best I can say about it. So much about the place leaves so much to be desired fortunately!

Food took over an hour to arrive. Orders arriving not in order of when requested. No Cawl, waited 30 mins to be told after ordering a different soup that they didn’t have that either. Ordered a burger in (first world problem alert) “desperation” and it was average, with a stale bun. Asked for a water straight away as totally parched and it came 30 mins later with the coffee. Yes they warned there was going to be a wait but this was ridiculous. I will say that the staff appeared to be doing their best, however I have to say that on this occasion the overall offering just wasn’t good enough.

Out for a bimble on the bikes on a beautiful October day and chose to stop at this popular looking cafe. We placed our order and sat outside and waited, and waited, and waited.......it seemed an age. My miners lunch and partners teacake eventually joined us but a further wait for coffees. The coffee was ok . Teacake was fine but already thinly buttered. Miners lunch was missing the promised pork pie and came with some dried up thick sliced bread (instead of the chunky bread advertised) and a pile of those cheap little white pickled onions. The bread was already buttered and the butter was full of black bits.......the girl that served us thought that was normal for butter. When I commented on the meal, I was told the pork pie didn't look good enough to serve (fair comment) and that they had given me more ham and cheese instead. It wasn't what I ordered. I rejected the meal and received a refund. It would have been polite and sensible to have told us of the wait and the change to products on the plate. It's a shame as it's a nice venue on the side of a busy road and has more than adequate parking, unfortunately we won't stop there again.

A lovely little stop with really great customer service, the staff were really friendly and the food is AMAZING!!! Will be stopping there again.

Stopped here on journey only place around. The food was good but disappointed they don’t do an all day breakfast. Need to ensure cutlery napkins are enough for the tables and toilet rolls in the toilets

After having to clear a table myself and waiting nearly half an hour for food I actually laugh when they brought some of it out. The large cod and chips is a packaged box piece of fish which are 4 for £3. And at £13 just not worth the price. I had the miners lunch which they had substituted a pork pie for more ham (which was full of gristle) The tortillas were stale the cheese were pre packed slices and the chunky bread was a cheap thick slice of white bread. You can’t ask for salad without onion (which I do not like). My sons dragon burger was a little better but and extra £3 for a bit of chilli chutney again extortionate, his girlfriend panini was the only thing that was ok but again £9 you would expect it to be. An expensive lesson to learn. I would have complained there and then but my family were too embarrassed. Stick to sandwiches and chips. You should be ok.

We visited this place on our way to stay at yurtopia down the road. We had panini's which came with chips and home made coleslaw. Hot and delicious . Staff were very friendly. The sun was out so we sat outside which was really nice. They have free WiFi and toilets which are clean and sufficient. We came back the next day (Tuesday)for coffee and cake only to discover they were closed. We were quite gutted as it was so nice the day before. They close Tuesday and Wednesdays.

Great cafe that is dog friendly and all the staff came to pet my llasa apso .food was excellent and the service first class .large car park.

I was looking forward to stopping here for breakfast on our way to new quay as we had done on previous visits however I was gutted to find they had stopped serving breakfast at 11.30 as opposed to the usual all day. Ruined my holiday

Great roadside cafe, on the A44, wonderful service, superb locally roasted coffee and a fab bacon cranberry and Stilton panini.

Always stop here for breakfast on the way to Aberporth. Over the years it has changed drastically. Now it is a smart bistro styled restaurant. Food has improved, we had a lovely breakfast,well cooked and well presented. Service was excellent. I thoroughly recommend that you stop here.

After being closed for 12 months. Always paid a visit here on way past for breakfast. And the cafe has had a full Revamp.looks lovely and friendly polite staff.the Red kite breakfast was just enough and options to add more if preferred. Was so tasty and fair priced considering all the overheads.well done.

After popping over to the Silver Mountain Experience opposite (also well worth a trip!), for a tour around the Victorian Mine, I thought it would be nice to pop over the road, to have some food. It was my understanding, that after a brief hiatus, the Red Kite Cafe has reopened with new owners, and has been completely revamped! Modern and trendy decor, friendly staff and great customer service! The food was great value for money and the cafe itself was busy on the day I visited, yet food arrived in a timely manner! The views surrounding the cafe are amazing (the Welsh mountains) so it’s a nice setting to have some lunch with outdoor seating areas. Toilets are kept clean, and so is the cafe itself. Recommend 5*

Balshy reception needs to learn customer about customer service. Gone downhill won’t be going again. Better off going to woodlands cafe

Went here as cafe at red kite feeding centre was closed. They have separate vegan and vegetarian menus. Lovely views over the mountains.

What a lovely find,stopped enroute to Aberystwyth for a coffee.Cannot fault anything,welcome,service,choice food and drink all good, hubby had bread pudding and coffee ,pinched a spoonful and was delish!Toilet facilities 10/10 .Looks like currently under some improvement (possibly new owners)Good luck for the future Red Kite,very impressive

What a little gem. A brilliant stop off. Delicious home made cakes, and good range of drinks. I have never seen such immaculately clean toilets! The staff are lovely, a very friendly atmosphere. They deserve to do well. Not been open long so go and support them. You’re guaranteed to see red kites on the way!

Popped in for a full breakfast on the way to our holiday destination.....wow what can I say I'm still to this day (8 days later) still raving about the breakfast I have never tasted such beautiful sausages 😋 It was a a very welcoming ,friendly experience 100% recommend 🥰

Lovely café very friendly staff. Mostly sell cakes not much hot food. Lovely to sit and watch planes. You have to walk from car park around building to get to café.

Cracking place to stop, the food and service are as good as the views....

Good luck getting a smile or good coffee here. Positives, toilets were clean. Trying to pass a Nescafé as Italian coffee is just silly in 2021... If you don't know what it is, don't put it on the menu. Lattes and flat whites ordered but genuinely horrid coffe. Avoid if you actually enjoy nice coffee.
