Oscar's Den in Ceredigion

I would give this place no stars if i could as it is worth a zero rating.Pizza was absolutely discusting and tasted really strange, nuggets were so greasy, some of the order was wrong but in edible anyway.Worst takeaway i think we have ever had.Avoid even if you are starving!.

Been going here for many years, food normally pretty good, quick service...a mid range kebab shop that is open 7 days a week.

Great food, always hot and freshly cooked. Friendly service. Good prices. Cannot fault! Definitely recommend!!

The only kebab shop in Lampeter, usually very busy when the pubs close. But at 4.30pm one day last week, this was the only takeaway open in town. It took about 15 minutes for them to prepare the food for us. It was worth the wait. Very large portions. Thanks.

Only go here if you're actually going to die of starvation at midnight and everything else is shut. If one decent fast food place came to town oscars would dissapear overnight. Also pretty expensive but they know they can get away with it because students dont care.

Staff are welcoming and always up for a chat. A variety on the menu means that a feast at the end of a night out is on the cards. Personally would recommend the pizzas - always amazing.

Service was very friendly, pizza was cooked fresh to order. Kebabs were ok but not put in the pittas.

Have visited oscars den when in the area last year, food was lovely as usual, salad was really fresh no complaints would visit again when in the area

Normally have food here after a night out when I come up to see my friend and it's normally pretty good but on this particular occasion I ordered a kebab and whilst eating it my friend asked if she could have a try and noticed it was stone cold so I threw the rest in the bin then we shared a pizza instead!

Before you get in, you'll have to extricate yourself from the punchup that's happening outside. Food is fine, run of the mill fast food rubbish. Great in a pinch. Staff are ok. The two older men are funny, but for some ungodly reason their are always 3 kids wondering around (I assume they are someone's children), and shout about the place; not pleasant dining vibes.

Order food from here every now and then for a treat. Its cooked to order so always hot, fresh and tasty with friendly service

Me and my wife both had kebabs from her both were that dry and tasteless you struggled to chew the chicken... most of it went in the bin... disgusting avoid if you don't like dryed out chicken or kebab....will never return...worst ever...

I know you dont expect much when you go to a keebab shop. But this was an absolute joke. They didnt give me what i asked for on my food. They had made some of the order before even starting to cook the rest of it. It was cold tastles and i can honestly say the worst fast food takeaway ive ever had. I can not belive they are still in buisness

I used to be a regular there.....not now, the donner meat is bland, salad not the freshest, small portions, generally disappointing.

We as a family ate from here to end up with my daughter that was 7years at the time to have compilabacta food poisoning from a chicken burger that was under cooked. We have never gone back since.

Comparing against places i have been to in the past Oscars isnt in the same league. Our meals were bland and there wasnt much of a choice. The staple items are there but not much after that.

Necesitan actualizar hay foto de la nueva tienda que es mejor que el último lugar. La comida es fresco y no grasienta, la pizza es muy buena, el personal era educado y amable.

Utilizada oscars muchas veces y nunca he tenido una mala kebab, la carne es siempre caliente y fresco y nunca tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo, en general, buena relación calidad-precio

This restaurant has a selection of burgers kebabs and pizza. It serves also light meals like fish and chips. The atmosphere is is Door to say the least. The food , I have tried the pizza and it is not much more that you can buy frozen in the supermarkets. Also the kebabs are very generously filled and would suit a well drunk students belly enough.

This is a clean and welcoming establishment. The take away offers both kebabs and pizzas as the mainstay on the menu and the service is friendly and efficient.The food is well prepared and generous in portion sizes.

What can i say!! Dreadful looks rough and serves food ( FOOD?) which is very dodgy. Students use this as a fill up after a drinking session. Avoid at all costs

Shocking, abysmal and in such a state.Everything is cooked from frozen, everything tastes of cardboard.You can't go there at night because it's packed with drunk people causing trouble and cheesy chips all over the place.The servers are absolute creeps who stare at anything with legs, surprised it was never shut down.

Went to a pub last night with my wife, felt peckish so went into Oscar's den. Ordered two lamb kebabs,two chips and a garlic bread with cheese(pictured), kebabs with pitta bread, no naan bread as a choice meat was wafer thin not good at all taste wise, other reviewers must be easily pleased, the garlic bread with cheese well baguette was I think from over the road(spar), I have been to loads of kebab shops around uk never have I had garlic baguette with cheese, normally it's round freshly made not defrosted in a microwave!!!

Staying a few miles up the road with my family for a week, I had a craving for a kebab on our last evening. There's clearly not an abundance of Kebab shops in Lampeter and Oscar's Den appeared to be the only one. It was moderately busy at 6pm on a Thursday evening but we were served quickly and didn't have to wait long for our kebabs and wraps to be prepared. The chap that served us was very friendly and gave my children lollipops while we waited for our takeaway to be ready. The kebabs (mixed doner wraps with chicken and lamp) were very tasty and the meat was of better quality than many I've tried, The chips weren't too soggy either after the 4 mile drive back to our caravan. He even gave us an extra bottle of drink 'on the house'. All in all, not bad at all and I'd certainly visit again if I was in the area.

A traditional takeaway that makes good food, perfect for a reprieve from a night out to line the stomach. I visit the place often and I am never disappointed. There is no doubt I will be returning soon!

Wrong order wrongly priced up when told of this was told oh she doesn't speak much english....doner meat was pink and the chicken tasteless so much sauce the food was cold. So disappointed won't be back

Food is exceptionally good, It was tasty, delicious and freshly made. The staff there are so polite and are so happy to help you.i visit oscars as much as i possibly can as it is a lovely little kebab shop.

food is excellent and freshly made excellent. My son says the Kebab meat he has from there is the best.

Food tastes ok but nothing special. The staff are unfriendly. Check your food before you leave. ordered a chicken shish and got a donner kebab!

I had pizza and i loved it it was the best pizza i had staff are nice and friendly and shop very clean tidy. I do hope other people will try this fast food place its the best

Bloody brilliant! Excellent tasting food and good value! Lovely people! Try the mixed grill awesome! best kebab I have ever had! And I'v had a lot of kebabs in my time!

Poor service from the guy who looks like he owns the place. Seemed unfriendly and arrogant. Nice staff otherwise. Food was what you'd expect from a kebab shop. Cheap and pretty nasty. The chip shop across the road is much better quality and has a friendlier atmosphere.

I'm a student at Lampeter so I frequent Oscar's quite a lot. So when I say this place is amazing understand that this is not from one visit but many. The staff are friendly and the food is just what you need. I have no doubt that Oscar's will benefit greatly from my patronage over the next few years.

Last week I did had a pizza from oscars'den it was best pizza ever than you lads I did realy enjoy it

Great food, lovely staff, excellent take away service. Really good chips!

I don't think I'd at here sober. Still, it was just the job for when I was steaming drunk, and having negotiated the fight in the doorway I was served promptly.
