Outstanding food and service. My wife and I went for the 7 course lunch menu, every single aspect was beautifully crafted and created. The waiter was excellent at explaining every ingredient on the plate, how it was cooked and often where it had come from. The sommelier was fantastic also, our first choice of wine was no longer in stock, so he recommended another which was delicious. We were the only people in the restaurant due to the rugby, but it was truly a brilliant experience and we cant wait to return. The chef came to speak with us, and was lovely - but our feedback was that the food and experience was incredible!
My girl and I had a tremendous birthday lunch comprising the Short Taster 7/8 course menu - we couldn't do the wine pairing as we were driving (cue violins).
Each course was a delight - small plates as per a taster menu, each was packed full of flavour, impeccably cooked and an exciting experience. It's difficult to pick favourites so I won't - it was all fantastic. I thought the lamb dish needed more beetroot.
The service was faultless, as is the decor. I'd prefer jazz on the playlist, but that's just a personal preference.
Worth every penny.
Chips overdone. Small portions. Curry sauce didn't cover the top of the chips? Not to mention the sauce I did have was bland and tasteless. Had to smother it in salt.
Living off past reviews it seems.
fantastic place, food is excellent & reasonably priced. great atmosphere with a fantastic view over the harbour to conwy. service was very good & staff was very friendly & helpful. will definitely be returning. 10/10 a must try is the deep fried ice cream. called in again today, food still fantastic & service the same.
Had a very tasty homemade style soup and an excellent latte. Sandwiches and pastries all looked generously sized and very fresh. Staff were most welcoming and the place was spotless
09/03/25 I phoned 12.00 for a table she said there fully booked till 15.00 I said it's only me and she checked and she said I can fit me in for 13.30 on first impression the pub is looking tiered and dated needs a new carpet and a little dark.so I ordered the cream mushroom starter and the turkey Sunday roast with a pint of lager top the food didn't disappoint delicious at £26 was the bill 😋
Having left a cafe up the road due to poor service, myself and my mum went into this place. We had just planned to have a drink but seeing the menu, we decided to have the food. It was all great, service was prompt, food choices were wide and tasted good. The food came out promptly. Great atmosphere. Seemed busy which was a good sign of a successful cafe. Would definitely return. Toilets are in the nearby Castle Hotel.

What a welcome! Called ahead last minute to see if still serving food(2:30pm) was advised by the lovely Kelly(owns it so we found out) that food was always on and the weather was out and sunny and looking forward to seeing us!!! Arrived and as usual stunning and manicured lawns and paddock for the puppa. Fish and chips was superb and the homemade chicken and leaki pie with gravy was outstanding! Jess served us who was amazing and friendly and even Frank(puppa) didn’t bark at her and wagged his tail and wanted to play. Fantastic experience and food sublime! Best part was the warm and friendly welcome from Kelly over the phone and Jess ! Highly recommend and will be back more often we promise! The garden with patio area and night lights on trees (fairies in jars on tree too) add to the evening experience. Well done to all and chefs keep up the great food .5*
We were wandering through Barmouth looking for something to eat and so glad we popped into this place. What turned out to be a brand-new smash burger menu was the triumph the lady behind the bar promised it would be—and then some. The Iberico pork burger was ridiculous and the mac and cheese, garlic fries and Guinness the ideal sides to accompany it. Please go.
