Literally the best Indian food I have ever had.

We visited on a Monday night and had a wonderful meal. We both had mixed tandoori starters and the meat was really tasty. I had a Chicken Jaflong main and my wife had a Chicken Korma which were both fabulous. The waiters were superb. Thanks for a great meal!

We stumbled across this gem by accident. We were looking for food and were attracted by the smell and wow it was worth it. We didn't book a table but we waited less than 5 minutes before we're had a seat. Service was fast and efficient and I have to say one of the best madrasses I've ever had !

We've been here twice now and both times we've had really good food. It all tastes fresh and well flavoured, and is presented very well. The menu is huge and varied, and as vegans we love the fact they label which dishes are suitable for vegans. They fitted us in last minute on a busy Saturday night, fair play. Service is quick and very friendly. Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant food as I'm gluten intolerance. I had no trouble. We went twice in 4 days. Would definitely return and definitely recommend.

Nice atmosphere inside belies the slightly grim exterior. Friendly staff and some unusual items on the menu. For me the lamb jaflong was a standout but all dishes were well cooked with clean flavours. Good portion sizes. Well worth a visit. We didn't need to book on a Thursday evening but it might be a good idea on a Friday or Saturday.

Bland, watery, tasteless of what I ordered, not happy at all. Waited nearly 2 hours and £60 later for nothing. I'm really disappointed

Love this place, the staff are always welcoming, very attentive and the food is excellent. Try the Naga, it's delicious, always a favourite. If I want guaranteed great food, this is my go to place, never fails to impress

The whole family had a great evening meal. Service was exceptional staff even going the extra mile to entertain the two children and make them feel as welcome as us. Food was served quickly and piping hot, it was lovely as good as I have had anywhere else. Such a shame we don't live nearby or we'd be back often.

Rice was under cooked, north Indian garlic prawns were bland, peshwari nan was full of sugar (no coconut) lime pickle was awful plus got an irish fiver in my change (check you're change) won't be returning

The ' KORMA FAMILY' had two brilliant meals at this restaurant in the last week. Food was lovely, and the staff were so so helpful .my wife who doesn't eat onions got some in her meal, but it was sorted out by the staff very quickly and efficiently without any fuss...just brilliant 👏 👍

We were just in town for the weekend and were glad we booked, as it was doing a good trade - always a positive sign. Service was swift, efficient and friendly and the food was really tasty and fresh. If I lived in Caernarfon I would certainly return!

A delightful restaurant in the heart of Caernarfon Wales, great menu selection with fabulous service, we had a very funny waiter who my friend's knew well . No booze served here sadly it's bringing your own. I don't think they believed l was a top 10% Google reviewer ,l have the last laugh at least. Keep up the good work, Love from tye Guru

Three of us mates went from London for the bank holiday weekend to Snowdonia. We went to the restaurant and were greeted to and given a table of 3. The place was clean with a nice dining in atmosphere. We ordered 3 different types of biryanis. They explained the choices when we asked questions as well as recommendations. The staff knew what they're doing and very respectful. Food was excellent and very tasty, they even gave a couple of nans as a gesture of good will as we also ordered a few curries on side. Would recommend to anyone when staying in Caernarfon, or visiting to Snowdonia.

Started off a winner because they had paneer on the menu and as a vegetarian, this is the main option I’m looking for. Had the paneer madras here and it was absolutely delicious. I have eaten a lot of paneer madras and this is definitely amongst the top that I’ve ever had. Service was also friendly and excellent. If I find myself back in this part of the country again, I’ll definitely be back.

My family and I enjoyed our first meal at The Caernarfon Tandoori Restaurant after reading an article in the Daily Post that said that this restaurant had been named Indian Restaurant of the Year for Wales. The food was delicious with really amazing flavours, fresh ingredients and spices and a taste sensation that is absolutely perfect. The food is full of epic flavours, absolute perfection. The staff are welcoming, efficient, friendly and professional. My family and I all really appreciate the fantastic service that The Caernarfon Tandoori Restaurant provide, it was a pleasure to dine at such a fantastic restaurant that has a wonderful menu with an excellent selection of food to choose from. We really liked the cool, stylish interior in the restaurant that was beautifully designed and very comfortable. Never been before. We went early evening and the place already had a few customers. The food was hot and tasty. Staff were friendly and it gad a good atmosphere. We shall go again.

Outstanding environment and food

Was out and about in the area and fancied a nice curry, we searched up and found this place and decided to give it a go, and we were so glad we did. There was 4 of us and we all enjoyed our meal very much. Some places I have been before can be very oily ,but I must say this indian was spot on, not overly oily and full of flavour and freshness. The meat in my curry was perfectly tender and everything was spot on. Very very good quality food, good service and clean and friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend taking a visit, there is paid parking nearby and a note to remember is that you can take your own alcohol as they do not serve this. Only con I would say is that they charge on the menu for tap water £1, I think this is unreasonable and should be provided free of charge to paying customers.

The best Korma, pilau rice, keema naan and saag aloo I've ever had. And the best bit-the wonderful staff all speak Welsh! Ardderchog! The only criticism I have is that they don't do dessert..other than that, perffaith 👌

Another lovely takeaway tonight. The lamb pathia was delicious, very tender too.Staff very friendly helpful. Will have to eat in the restaurant sometime. It was full when I arrived to pick up my food so that's a good sign

Oh my goodness. The food is amazing! I had wanted the vindaloo but was persuaded by staff to try the naga chicken instead and wow it was amazing. Absolutely delicious. Their peshwari naan is out of this world and definitely the best I have ever had. Definitely recommend the mango lassi too! Staff are also so lovely and so friendly!

Had a Vindaloo that was plain, flavourless, and somehow wasn't spicy at all.

The takeaway was about 15-20 minutes late coming out, and the Mrs had a bit of rubber in hers, and my peshwari nan was far too sweet, and I like it sweet so it was quite a shock. Staff were friendly though and the rest of the meal was good, the ordering on the website was good, you can pay by card with a card fee, and there's a good range of dishes too. Worked out about £17 each with nan each and sharing bhaji and rice. They have won awards recently but our experience was very mixed unfortunately.

Cracking restaurant in the centre of Caernarfon. Its BYO, so get your drinks from the local convenience store before arriving. You know its good as soon as you open the door, as its full of delicious smells. The food and service are both first class, and its really good value for money. We were a party of 8 and all delighted with our experience. All in all, highly recommended

Unlicenced restaurant so only given 4 stars. Atmosphere only 3 as it was a very quiet mid-week out of season evening. Food delicious, lots of choice, both traditional menu items and specials. Great service, very friendly and welcoming. Chilli chutney was amazing!

A fabulous restaurant, great food, I recommend the Kalia if you like a hot tasty curry. Service is fantastic, very friendly and kept us laughing.

Excellent Indian restaurant which serves delicious food. Our waiter was very engaging and we enjoyed his sense of humor. Before you go, bear in mind that the restaurant serves no alcohol so you need to bring your own. Not a problem but good to know beforehand. However, there's a shop just down the road which serves alcohol.

We went 30 minutes out our way coming back from a local attraction to grab a takeaway from these guys as the reviews where amongst the highest for Indian food in the area we were staying in. Parking isn't great, and we went in to be told they only take cash! Who doesn't take cards nowadays? Your not the cheapest anyway so I think absorbing a small card charge would be to your advantage, they then directed us to a cashpoint, "literally round the corner" but we didn't find that from his directions but we did find more takeaways that did take cards so another lost sale for you.

Amazing Indian restaurant. Food brilliant apart from 1 dish we had Chicken Tandoori Tikka Masala which was very sweet and had coconut in it which we have never had before. Every else perfect. Very clean. Staff went out of their way to be welcoming and gave advice without being pushy. Fahir was friendly and went above and beyond to assist us. We went back 3 nights later and Fahir remembered us and was exactly the same as before. Very steady flow for eating in and take away. Highly recommend

Very clean. Nice décor. Good menu . Service was perfect. I spoke in English to my shame. The staff spoke perfect local Welsh as I am first language Welsh myself. This was a real good touch . I was so surprised. The food was perfect. I will be going back often. Really liked that the staff spoke real Welsh. One love

I am very happy to update my review. After a year or two since our last visit, im happy to report a big improvement. We went 2 mins after opening, so it lacked an atmosphere, but that's what happens at 5pm. It did get busier within an hour, and from what i could see, all food was coming out in reasonable times! The lady who greeted us was very polite and welcoming. The waiters were very attentive and helpful, Fahim, our waiter was lovely, he made a friend for life in our daughter whos only 2 who was disappointed whenever he left. The food all came when it should and was hot! A few years ago, the food was oily and disappointing, but this time, it was fantastic. Chef still likes his corriander, but that doesn't ruin the food. It doesn't have a license to serve booze, but you can take your own, which is nice. Stops you drinking too much! Be handy to have a customer fridge to store your beer! All in all, we had 2 courses, which more than filled us, so we took the rest home. Definitely give the place a visit!

Had a great meal here last night, they were able to accommodate us at last minute which was our gain. The food was very good not a bad meal or complaint amongst any of us. The staff was excellent the young guy who waited on us was very funny and could have a laugh with. This is a dry restaurant but allows you to take alcohol in if you wish. One thing that I have not had before was the chilly pickle in the pickle tray array which was tasty

Visiting Wales for a week, thought to order in one evening. Delicious food, big portions, they sent us extra poppodoms and salad. The delivery person was very nice as well!

My parents wanted a curry and they have lived in South east Asia for a life time. So they tasked me and I did a trusty Google maps search, this one came up with good reviews and there is a good reason, very good service, food portions good, the curry was very tasty the rice with lamb dish was big and filled with meat which impressed me. The naan breads were fresh and delicious so much so we ordered another one. The daal was tasty, spinach vegetable curry was very nice. I ordered the tandoori mixed grill which was lovely the onions were delicious. At first we had a plain rice which they kept and we said take it back but we will still pay for it. In the end they took it off the bill. They did charge for tap water 2 quid... Meh still the food impressed us and we have been to India and many a curry house. I highly recommend here. The staff was friendly. The ambience was good. Now regarding food, egg fried rice was good, vegetable curry as well. Mixed kebab platter was not enjoyable. Lot of color in it and the mutton skew was so hard. Bascially was not able to eat and left it. Chicken biriyani was reasonable and after washing my hand. I found my hands, teeth and lip was yellow stained. They are using colors to the food but to extend that it is visible even after washing. Finally the garlic naan was good.
