Had a fantastic evening for my husbands 50th ,large table booked ,food was outstanding and service amazing, had the best welcome from Sean and all the staff ,cannot recommend this place enough ,👏👏

We went for Christmas Dinner 2024 and I can't say enough, everything was wonderful from our table, the atmosphere, fantastic service and of course the delicious food. We had 4 courses all of which were tasty and well presented. I was particularly impressed by the homemade starter and the cheese cake dessert. Great touches like a beautifully displayed table with decent Christmas crackers! Well done The halfmoon! 👏

My wife and I had Christmas lunch at the Half Moon yesterday, we cannot congratulate the staff enough for the service from start to finish. There was more than enough food, excellent quality and accommodated my wife who is vegan. We have already booked for next Xmas. Well done Matthew and all his staff.

Update... popped in on Xmas eve with my family and had another fantastic meal. Tasty, fresh, generous portions and all served by very welcoming staff. Amazing place to visit for food and drinks. Called in 2 weeks ago and had a fantastic meal. Have had great meals previously and cannot fault the food, service and prices. Extremely friendly place with a broad menu that delivers tasty and plentiful meals. Highly recommended.

What a find! Our experience of this pub was amazing from start to finish. Sion was so helpful and friendly from the beginning with our phone call. We arrived 10 mins later to find he had reserved us a nice table in the bar (because we brought our dog). The food was absolutely amazing and the Biscoff cheesecake (well done Tom) has ruined all other cheesecakes forever! The local customers were so friendly too. Overall it gave us some wonderful memories and we will make sure we return whenever we are within 30 minutes of this fabulous place. We can’t recommend this pub enough.

We were on holiday in Llanelli in May and we had a fantastic Sunday lunch here at the half moon inn one of the best Sunday lunch we’ve had so when the wife asked me where shall we go to do the Christmas shopping this year I immediately said let’s go back to Llanelli for a few days so I can have another Sunday carvery lunch at the half moon inn. The food is amazing and worth the 4 hours drive down from Llanberis north wales. Otis my dog really enjoyed the turkey slices he had Alun, Grace and Otis

Lovely food, generous portion but was an hour late - however a quick warm up in the microwave and all is well. Ordered the biscoff cheesecake as well which was delicious

Food was excellent.. My kids are so fussy and picky with their food but they cleared the spaghetti bolognaise and garlic bread. The mixed grill was amazing, best I’ve had in a long time. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering from here again

Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere. Shame about the extremely rude waitress. Had an attitude with us as soon as we walked in, we were a family of 6 and made no attempt to make us feel welcome. Wrong starters came out and blamed us for ordering the wrong thing! Will not be returning unfortunately.

Delivery was slightly late but this wasn't an issue. Food was good but a little disappointed that one meal came without Yorkshire pudding and parsnip.

Worst sunday dinner ive had by far frozen veg frozen mash potato no take at all very disappointed and definitely not worth £12.95

This is my first time, and my last time ordering from here. the food had no taste to it the gravy was like water. The carrots. Were undercooked and really hard. I asked for no mushy peas, but I still put them in there the roast potatoes were slimy and the parsnips were hard as a rock. I will recommend my friends and family stay well away from this place. Absolutely terrible.

Gutted that you have stopped serving homemade chips. The ones I had on my last visit reminded me of the ones you get from the Chinese. Hopefully you will be putting these back on the menu.

Passing through the area, we rolled up: two adults, three dogs. Lovely welcome for all five of us. The food was superb and the service was so friendly. Freebies for the hounds as well. We left a well-deserved tip, which was much appreciated. Recommended. We'll be back.

Food was luke warm when it came and the gravy was cold. Meal was tasty when warm but not as nice as I have had from here previously because I had to reheat it.

Collecting the food was no problem. Quick service. On the other hand our food, the roast potatoes were solid, the garden peas were hard and the both dinner were cold. Very disappointed

The Sunday dinner here is incredible! The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was delightful. We usually come here just for drinks, and it’s always a friendly place, but this was our first time trying the food, and it did not disappoint. The meal was delicious, and the service made the experience even better. We’re so glad we decided to dine here and will definitely be back for more. This place has become one of our favorites, not just for drinks, but now for food as well!

Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic food, big up to the chef, absolutely appalling customer service. Greeted into the restaurant as if we were trespassing, wrong order on starters, no apology , just shown on a tablet that the order was what we were given. No! It was not what we asked for! Spoken to like we were in the wrong, bar one staff member Amy, who was lovely throughout .

I came to the pub tonight at 10:45 to order a can of coke and sit with my friends, and Beth who works there made me order 3 cans of coke and refused to order me one because ‘they were closing’ even though there were people drinking, it states they were open till 12am online and she was really rude saying if your planning on staying in the back theres no point, she is rude and makes me not want to go there because of her service its a shame because its a lovely pub and all the other staff are lovely.

Second time at the Half Moon and once again we had a great meal. Booked online (worked perfectly) and on arrival staff knew who we were. Shown to a nicely-prepared table and drinks order taken sharply too - excellent! Ordered two prawn cocktails, with chilli con carne and steak and mushroom pie for mains. Service was excellent and just the right amount of time between courses too, something which doesn't happen often enough. Again, excellent. Food was of very good quality with good accompaniments, and was presented well. In all, a seriously good evening out that, including drinks, came to £48. Highly recommended!

Tasty sunday lunch with a lovely selection of vege with Turkey Beef and Pork. We didn't mind delivery being a little early as we were all looking forward to our lunch. Definitely the best carvery for miles. Thank you to the staff in Halfmoon.

Set in the back streets this absolute find offers fabulous fresh food, adapted to individual customers’ requests and at very good value. Accompanied by good beer this is somewhere we will revisit when back in Llanelli again.

Food superb, staff friendly, price good. We visited for Sunday lunch 7th July, meat tender and tasty. Vegetables hot and good. Dessert lovely and plant based ice cream available as well.

Attended for a last minute lunch, greater by a lovely lady who instantly made us feel welcome. It was quiet when we were there but the dining room was spotless and well set out. Popped to the bathroom (always check bathrooms, it’s a good indicator of cleanliness), again everything was really clean and fresh. Menu had plenty of choice. I opted for chili con carne and my friend had a steak (30% off on a Thursday). Both meals arrived in a timely manner and tasted as good as they looked. Will definitely come again, and maybe make an evening of it. Well done half moon, excellent service and food.

On holiday from Llanberis North Wales so we googled best Sunday dinner in Llanelli and got the name of half moon. Phoned up day before to book and to say we were bringing our dog with us. We arrived at 12 and we were made welcome by the staff .We had the Sunday carvery and choice of 3 meats I had the beef and turkey and helped myself to the 6 or 7 different veg. Also I ordered 2 sausage for otis the dog and a pint of carlsberg and a can of diet Pepsi The total came to £31 which was the same I paid for 2 burgers and a drink at five guys in Swansea the day before So I recommend half moon as the food is amazing.well worth the money
