Great wee coffee shop, food was really good from hot rolls to soups and wraps and delicious range of cakes. Also liked the fact they provide a pot of hot water with your pot of tea so you can top up! Staff are friendly and welcoming and the gallery is an added bonus if you want to view and purchase a beautiful painting.

Vanilla glazed, almond glazed cake donut, Creme brûlée, and peanut butter vegan donuts eaten of the six we purchased. Cake donut was dry. Vegan donut good. Creme brûlée was excellent! Vanilla glazed pretty good. Crème brûlée’s was worth the calories. The others were not.

Just back from staying 3 nights in the wonderful very dog friendly Lynnfield Hotel in Kirkwall. We have stayed in several other hotels in Kirkwall but none of them came up to the standard of the Lynnfield Hotel. Malcolm and his staff couldn’t have made us feel more welcome than they did. Our room, the Melsetter Suite was just wonderful. A fantastic mira shower and a space age jacuzzi bath etc etc! The food was simply delicious. We had intended eating elsewhere on one of the nights but after dinner in the Lynnfield Hotel the first night we continued to eat in house for the duration of our stay. For dog owners, look no further. All the staff are very dog friendly. Rusty our Welsh terrier can’t wait to go back! Very highly recommended.

As it was the last night of our holiday we decided to dine at The Colintraive, and we were happy we did. The staff were cheerful, friendly and polite, and others in the pub were also friendly, providing a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing; well presented and really tasty. We would definitely recommend a visit here. We did book beforehand, as we'd been warned that they can be quite busy at times so it is best to make a booking.

Myself and three friends stumbled on this lovely place on our way to the Grassmarket. We received a warm, friendly welcome from the staff on arrival and were seated immediately. We chose breakfast items which were all freshly prepared and of high quality. You get good, homemade food and there is plenty to choose from on the menu. We were so impressed that we returned for more on the following day!! Lovely, friendly staff and a very pleasant vibe to the place. Can highly recommend x

I’ve been coming to Wild Flour for many years on holiday, I have never been disappointed. I can definitely say that the cakes and soups are amazing. There’s an extensive menu but I never get further than those, I’m sure that the rest will be as good. Quirky and pretty decor with local paintings available to buy, plus locally made crafts and gifts. A true treasure. Also dog friendly.
